What’s good Explomers! 🙋🏼♂️🙋🏻♂️ I am so excited to finally release this long-awaited documentary with all of you! During 5 years of practising urban exploration, this has been the most impressive and touching place I have ever seen through my own eyes and explored thoroughly. Many know Chernobyl, many know Fukushima... little know this historic Italian hilltop city that got struck by an earthquake in 2009. After filming for over 3 days, having hours and hours of footage and spending weeks of editing the final documentary is ready and will soon première! 🎥 Sit back, grab some popcorn 🍿 and prepare yourself for, in my opinion, the very best and highest quality video I have put together as the day of today. 🎞
I wouldn't go back there to live. It was a very unhealthy city before the earth quake, and now even worse. It is an unnerving city to look at with all the property piled on top of each other without adequate living space to live in would have been to much for me to stay. It's a time capsule, and time to let that city go and build another one. Had I been born there as soon as I was old enough to leave; I would of left there and never looked back. That city is a time capsule in which people should have left long long ago.
@@dreamscott5913 How could you not want to go back home? Look at what happens to New Orleans, Louisinia oh so often with hurricanes. People love their home and communities and go back to rebuild.

This documentary has left me speechless. You did an amazing job of showing us what you saw. The church is spectacular, it looked like work had begun on a couple of the wall alcoves. The Palace was amazing, hopefully they can save the beautiful ceilings and find a talented individual to replace the missing paintings that have collapsed. Thank you, you did a wonderful, thoughtful, respectful video.
My heart is breaking for all these people. Loved ones lost their lives. Memories and things passed down generations cannot be gotten. So much gone! 😢 My prayers are for each of them.
Oh my goodness the beautiful church…. Most of us are so obviously unaware of towns like this existing because of natural disasters.. and people not allowed to get their personal items…. Heartbreaking…. This was narrated so exquisitely.. this has quickly become a favorite video….

This one brought tears to my eyes. You do such a phenomenal job, your countless hours of work and the risks you take are so greatly appreciated. Much love and peace, explore on my friend.
@Explomo All I have to say is he done a wonderful job of showing this town and time by gone of a era of a disaster. It is no different then us looking at ruins of thousands of years ago. So those that say he is wrong, maybe you are wrong. You don’t know if some people were happy to see their homes that saw this video. They left in a hurry and it might give them comfort to see the place they lived and loved. It might even get the government to start to tear down and repair these buildings and homes, rebuild the town. He did no harm, took nothing, broke into no places the doors were open, unlocked and was respectful. He is not the first to film this town and probably will not be the last. You apparently don’t know much about him or seen his work. He’s a kind respectful young man.
I can't help but to think of the movie 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin 'as I watch this. Thank you for documenting this beautiful Italian village. I can only imagine the years gone by of it's existence. That kind of loss would be so hard to get over.
What an amazing opportunity to be able to explore this Italian ghost town! I can't imagine what it must have been like for those people, not only to live through the trauma of an earthquake, but to also be forced out of your home by circumstances beyond your control. I thank God every day that I wake up safe in my own home. Because something like this can happen to anyone, at any time. Seeing things like this make you grateful for your blessings. It amazes me to see so much of this town virtually untouched. It looks as if the owners could just walk right in at any moment. I'm so glad that the city is being slowly restored. It's been a long time coming. Thank you, Maureno, for the deep respect you exercised when exploring this place. You took on a huge task to bring this documentary to the world. Fantastic job! God bless you, and stay safe!
Wow, I would love to be able to walk those alleys and streets. It's so sad to think about all of us being at the mercy of mother nature. This is a great video! I love the huge bell in the church.
This has to be one of the more dangerous explorations I've seen from you! Also, one of the saddest for all the destruction and loss of life, loss of home. But what a beautiful little town, and I'm happy they're trying to rebuild.
This was an amazing video! All the details of the buildings. Breathtaking views! The school was huge. But it’s sad that this people lost their beautiful homes. And couldn’t go back. And the ones who lost their life. I’m so happy to hear that they are trying to rebuild this town. Thank you so much for this💜
That is heartbreaking. And they wouldn't let the people get any of their treasured memories or anything else. Some very very beautiful homes. The town where time stood still. Beautifully done video. Exceptional.
Hope not 10 years around before that, the residente were given the chance to collect even their personal mementoes since these cannot be duplicated anymore like photographs or treasures they possessed since the govt didn't rehabilitate their town and they weren't able to live there anymore.
@@beckybell266 I live in California - we always have E.Q.'S. I would rather be hit once in 50 years than the constant flooding and hurricanes that occur near every winter. Understand your feelings. The little town I live in has been hit by a tornado two times with major damage. The people hurt and killed and darkness of night of looking and checking for loved ones. It’s a shame that the government didn’t tear down and up to earthquake standards rebuild this town. They just let it sit and rot all the beauty and history of it. They left it a dark mark on all the people that lived there. Out of ashes comes life.

I am so pleased to hear that people are starting to move back to this once magnificent town. Thank you for all the effort you put in to this explore. Gill 🇬🇧
Some of the homes appeared to have been emptied of some of the furniture and belongings, so apparently there were people who came back to get their things. Unless someone else took opportunity to come in and help themselves. Fascinating, touching; thank you for such a great explore.
Of course families owners are still alive. Imagine how they feelings iftheycan see that video. A stranger entering into more intimate privacyand for businessmade a video.... What a shame
I'm speechless, such a remarkable town, it's a shame the amount of damage and destruction. Thank you for your heart felt documentary of this tragedy 👍☮️
Thank you for the video! I also saw on tv that the parmegiano regiono cheese factory was destroyed too. A chef in italy had an idea to help w/the sale of the parmegiano, because they could not sell it. He had a cooking show using parmegian cheese in the recipe & everyone wanted to make it w/him, so they were able to sell the parmegian that had not sold before that. Very interesting.
Absolutely beautifully documented. So many amazing beautiful photos to capture. Sad for the loss of life and excited for the town to have a new lease on life. To be filled with people once again, laughter, talk, singing and the aroma of meals and baked goods. Such beauty you showed us. Thank you for capturing the town. I loved it!
This is so sad and frightening for these poor people. Even more sad it’s not going to be able to go back to live where your people have lived probably for generations. Thank you for this marvelous exploration even though it was sad. This way they will always be remembered. Keep safe
Someone may have already posted this in here so apologies for the redundancy. This sign on the interior door at around the 1:02:00 mark roughly translates in to: "There's nothing left inside, don't break the lock." Amazing imagery! Haunting yet beautiful. Quiet, peaceful and depressive all within the same frame-your documentation does a superb job emoting these feelings. Thank you for sharing the experience and giving us a tour! I've always been fascinated with abandoned places and objects. Ghost towns and random one-off structures alike are so hard to come by these days that haven't been spoiled by the senseless, wanton destruction created through vandalism.
This was so touching. The many years they spent building a beautiful city, just to lose it to a earthquake! Hopefully, someday, life might come back again. Ty for the tour. Tc and stay safe always.
My deepest and sincere condolences to those lives lost and for those who lost everything in that 27 second earthquake. I’m glad to see some reconstruction and inhabitants returning. You have outdid any exploration ever done. I plan on watching this again.
Hi dear friend Maureno from wonderful team Explomo, Unfortunately I missed your lifestream in the afternoon. I was very busy with administrative obligations, which kept me fom returning early home, so I saw the noitification, when your lifestream was already for hours over! - I am sorry, but I will certainly watch the video later. - Of course I already had a first look in the again wonderfully formulated introduction. What a sad and heartbreaking background story about the earthquake! I am already very excited to watch and to listen, what you have documented there in this truly huge abandoned ghost town in Italy. See you later, peace and kindest regards, dear bro! - Stay safe and take care!
Such mixed emotions watching this one. So much beauty and sadness at the same time. Very happy they are trying to restore and save what they can. Thank you for this one.
This was an amazing video and very well done, so professional!! I do appreciate the respect that you held for the properties that you entered and the church remains that were shocking to some who were watching. I love a long video, especially when it is done as well as you did it. Thank you for making and sharing this video with us. Stay safe and Healthy!! I look forward to your next video.
Thank you for the background video and all the time spent recording this town. I remember this earthquake, but never knew what happened to the people that inhabited this town at the time of the disaster. This is a great record of this town after a natural disaster. I wish that I could like this video a million times.
Fantastic video. I am feeling so many emotions as I watch. So exciting to explore, but so thought provoking to think of all that had gone before. I have to say that the young man documenting this is going to do really well in whatever career he chooses. Good filming, great grasp of English language, empathetically exploring interesting places, so intelligently done etc. This man will go on to win many awards in the future I feel quite sure. Top quality entertainment. Thank you, to all involved in this, and all the other videos like it in this series.
I watch alot of urban exploration channels, and this one is the Mercedes Benz/Rolls Royce of channels, thoughtful, intelligent and top quality video and sound. I appreciate his knowledge on the buildings and places he explores
It's wonderful to hear that they're rebuilding and people are starting to move back. It was a wonderful tour and I loved seeing all of the artwork on the ceilings.
You're so good at describing everything in your videos, because you feel their joy or sorrow just being there . Prayers to all that had to endure such tragedies. Thank You ❤
The news about it said the quake was in the night while they were sleeping so I can imagine some that’s left everything were not the lucky ones who survived. Every streeet cobbled and the architecture was amazing. Thank you
So beautiful, I loved the scenery and landscape so breath taking. I could almost hear the chicken playing and the parents yelling from the balconies for there kids or to there neighbors. Thank you for the experience.
Thanks for a wonderful explore. You are a very thoughtful & respectable lad, in the way you treated this explore, with regards to the human tragedy the residents of this town endured during that terrible earthquake. Very nicely done, my friend. Regards Urban Geeze.
I would have loved to have lived in that village when it's had life still in it or even now. Loneliness wouldn't be a problem. I wonder where all the pets ended up? My only complaint would have to be that the doors are not closed after departing the homes to not further the decay that will take place from the moisture. What a wonderful explore. Thank you so much for making this an extra long video. I love the videos that are very thorough and show everything. You are awesome. Mucho gracias!! From New Mexico.
Wow! Incredible, you did a excellent job exploring this beautiful abandoned Italian Ghost City...Makes me a sad. Hopefully it can be restored. Thank You for sharing. Take Care and God Bless
All my grandparents are from Italy I have never been, what you did is remarkable and thank you for the effort you put into this. I’ve seen many pictures of Italy but this was the just like being there. I pray these people get to go back to their homes, you did a fabulous job documenting this terrible disaster, again thank you so very much. Your amazing!
I am Italian and really disagree with that video. That boy entering into houses did a crime, against our Constitution. He had any authorisation to enter into that houses. Even the loyal owners cannot enter because is. Forbidden and still dangerous. That video hurts my sensibility.

@@eileengalatte8505 I live in central Italy in an area that was hit by two earthquakes and what Margarita Resta says is correct. By law it is prohibited to enter in a restricted area and enter the homes, the fines are heavy and also there can be a risk of going to prison if caught. He was lucky that he was not seen by any locals, he could have been reported. This is because there have been many cases of looting in Amatrice and many other places in the central regions. I know his intentions are good and he wants to show the devastation of that terrible moment, but the law in Italy is strict in these cases. If he got hurt how would he have justified himself?

This place must’ve been absolutely stunning. I can imagine how life must’ve been. Everyone must have known each other and looked out for one another. All the kids probably rode their bikes around and played at the park. The house with the severe black mold seemed to be a very upscale home with the marble stairs, gorgeous woodwork and large open rooms and 3-4 stories high. I bet it was stunning!

I have seen you learn, change and grow into the superb documentation and investigation expert that you now are! I really appreciate your diligence, thoroughness and respect or each and every one of the places you visit! Keep up the great work!!👍😸
Ummm ya , when you said you were going into the building the first thing i noticed was it looked like one whole side of it was braced from the outside to keep it from falling forward and caving in down the hill. So grateful I got to see it but there is nothing there worth losing your life over. Its such a shame those ancient buildings have been hit so hard by this natural disaster. There is nothing like the charm those Italian towns In the mountain cliffs have. I am an old woman but I can picture myself crusing those villages in a vespa like I was in an old James Bond movie.
The sign outside the doors warning that the house is empty. The shop you visited was not a flower shop but a tavern . ( sorry for my English) ... my compliments for your video . Thanks, great job!
What a unique opportunity to see Italian homes inside, even though this is such tragic event for local families, trying to survive during earthquake! I hope people who made it out are living in less dangerous environment now!
Living in a country "New Zealand" that gets many earthquakes. I can't believe the Italian government hasn't allowed people back into their houses to retrieve personal belongings. It's obvious there have been no aftershocks in the past few years, so why hasn't the government moved on this? As far as the town is concerned, all homes with structural damage should be demolished. The town can be built again in keeping with it's past architecture. Only this time built to withstand earthquakes. No wonder these houses fell to the ground. Look at how they were built. Dykes are built with boulders, not houses. If an area is earthquake prone, the foundations of the houses/ buildings needs to be constructed to withstand the severe tremors. Many buildings and bridges in New Zealand and overseas are protected with lead dampers and lead and rubber bearings invented by a New Zealander, Bill Robinson. These devices in building foundations can reduce the motion caused by ground shaking.

That happened in the north of Italy in 2012, it's not related with this place
@@thetemptedvida8650 ok, thank you for the answer!
This sign on the interior door at around the 1:02:00 mark roughly translates in to: "There's nothing left inside, don't break the lock."
Amazing imagery!

I was very busy
with administrative obligations, which kept me fom returning early home, so I saw the noitification, when your lifestream was
already for hours over! - I am sorry, but I will certainly watch the video later. - Of course I already had a first look in the
again wonderfully formulated introduction. What a sad and heartbreaking background story about the earthquake! I am already
very excited to watch and to listen, what you have documented there in this truly huge abandoned ghost town in Italy.
It sad that most of those stuff that we see in the video is all the same, since 2009 just sad yo.
This is such a beautiful documentary of the devastation of this very historical city. Well done.
So very very moving done with such respect and thankyou for sharing this with us, the viewers. My grateful thanks.
You could have made this a 12 hour video and I still would have been fascinated right to the end. Amazing!
it's both amazing and sad, they must have thought they were going back to get their belongings as lots had locked up before leaving.
طراز معماري فى منتها الروعة والجمال للاسف انه سيعود للطبيعة الام ❤
I could have watched hours more!! Absolutely wonderful. Thank you.
It's wonderful to hear that they're rebuilding and people are starting to move back. It was a wonderful tour and I loved seeing all of the artwork on the ceilings.
You narrated that sad, beautiful video like heartfelt poem. Love and happiness be yours always ❤️❤️❤️❤️
How can a place be so damaged and tragic but still so breathtakingly beautiful
All my grandparents are from Italy I have never been, what you did is remarkable and thank you for the effort you put into this. I’ve seen many pictures of Italy but this was the just like being there. I pray these people get to go back to their homes, you did a fabulous job documenting this terrible disaster, again thank you so very much. Your amazing!
I am Italian and really disagree with that video. That boy entering into houses did a crime, against our Constitution. He had any authorisation to enter into that houses. Even the loyal owners cannot enter because is. Forbidden and still dangerous. That video hurts my sensibility.
@@margaritaresta6390 What does being Italian have to do with anything? I’m Italian and I enjoyed this video. Your entitled to your option as am I and being Italian has nothing to do with it. Get a hobby!
@@margaritaresta6390 sono d'accordo con te! Vivo in una zona sismica e ciò che dici è vero.
Your grandparents came from Italy so you're Italian. American logic
Hi from Mexico my name Jose Alberto, few weeks ago, found your channel and recognized on you a great human been, for the themes and the form you present it......Your degree of RESPECT for the places and the people who have lived caught my attention....CONGRATULATIONS a lot !!, you have a high Emotional Intelligence and Education.......Respect the video of Ghost city italian, in the 1:27:59 hour appear sign QUI NACQUE IL BEATO BERNARDINO A.D 1420, means here Blessed Bernardino was born, your full name Blessed Bernardino Amici de Fossa born 1420 died 1503, Franciscan preacher and writer
I love that town. I have seen it once before but you did it so thoroughly and went into so many places. Thank you for sharing this
What an awesome job you did recording these properties! 🙏👏
Such a beautiful town yet hauntingly sad, with many lives lost and those left homeless after the earth quakes. Wonder any many are left buried!
I felt the same way as you.
Thankfully only 5 in our village but 340 in total in the region
Congrats Maureno you have a brave heart to documentary this wonderful adventures here in Italy, I had many emotion, while I watching your Exploring video, sad because many building and structure collapse and many people died, and their belongings and property remain in their house, thank you for your wonderful explore and documentary this abandoned Italian Ghost City.. keep it up and Continue your Journey to Explore many abandoned places.. L'Osteria del melograno" (at 1:14:53 min) were not a flower shop but a restaurant (lett. "Pomegranate tavern"), open by 20,00 to 24,00, closed on monday. Sunday open also for lunch. So it was in 2009...
Amazing Video Maureno, I loved the care that you always take where ever you explore, Safe Travels and explores!
Incredible!! Thank you so much for showing this sad but amazing Town, had never heard of it.. GREAT JOB MORENO!! Much ❤️ & RIP to the people who were lost in this catastrophe 😢🌹
This whole video was completely amazing. Well Done! Thank you for being so brave to show us all you did. It's stunning to see that people had to leave so fast and leave so much behind 😥
Congratulations on a simply amazing video production for the world to experience That was incredible.. Thank you for all the work
I admire the respect you have for the places you explore and the people that once lived there. The research you do shows your integrity and genuine interest and passion you possess. Thank you so much. Nga mihi aroha kia korua mo to mahi miharo !!!!
Thanks for taking the extra time and work that you put into this one👍 nomatter how long i would have watched to the end, really enjoyed 💯
Yes my home is here - absolutely tragic
This was outstanding Maureno…….and to your boys too, so much work…..it was so beauty, scary, learning. It was everthing in every way……love from me and Norway 🥰😅😅😉
How extremely humanitarian and respectful you are!!!! I'm amazed with your work. I was in Italy by the time....homes, places and Masterpieces destroyed forever....no way to repair some of them . I'm gratefully surprised by your work...now I'm subscribed! Blessings!
Imagine a person using that pink toilet when the earthquake hit! This was epic. Wonderful! Fabulous Kobe webs even. The grief, the shock. IAM astonished by this place. Thanks 🙏
Thank you for bringing awareness to this beautiful City .. I pray it can be resurrected or preserved as it ought to be . Very well done.
What a nice video to end the Italy series with!!!! Beautiful yet so sad and scary 🥺 a lot of pain and fear, if only the walls can talk! So sad that people had to leave home, their memories and everything. Still it became a beautiful place but sadly in ruins. At least they are trying to bring life to it again!!! You spent a lot of time there filming and taking photos, i want to thank you for that! And also, thanks for putting a lot of time and hard work editing such a super duper long video!!!! ❤
Grazie. Penso sei l'unico che ha documentato questo incredibile paese abbandonato.
This was a very exciting place, the church ⛪ was a magnificent place. The painted ceilings and loved the beautiful beds some very distinctive. Just wish I was able to see it in person. Thank you for showing it it was a WOW place. Keep being safe, I love all your videos.
The building after the church was no doubt attached to the church the bishop's house probably that is useally where the wealth of the town ended
This is definitely my favorite video so far! I've been watching your channel for a very long time. I have seen you learn, change and grow into the superb documentation and investigation expert that you now are! I really appreciate your diligence, thoroughness and respect or each and every one of the places you visit! Keep up the great work!!👍😸
Most incredible place you have explored yet , magnificent place.
I came back to finish watching! Wonderful video. You have a great voice and your words are carefully chosen. Thank you
Maureno you did such a good job.You and your friend Leslie from Bros of Decay are my best explorers.
What an amazing explore! Bravo Maureno! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This was fantastic. Best explore yet! The architecture is phenomenal. Thank you so much for this explore.
Incredible video...there were moments where I had goosebumps and others where I was in pure awe. Be safe my friend!
THE GOV. SUCKS ASS IS WHY....
I would like to see all three abandon Italian cities.
This was a long one, but wow!! Excellent work my friend!!
Thank you for filling the void in my love of modern day historical documentary.
My favorite “decay” video yet!💕
Maureno how old are some of the buildings? Excellent video! You and Remon are my favorites on RUclips! Both are excellent at telling stories!
Really amazing. Great Stuff. Thanks for sharing as always.
Watched this video, and your other one with the warehouse of awesome carriages and such👍 and your right in saying, never seen this place or the warehouse, on any other channel, both are very we'll done🙂 great job guys!
