I’ve seen so many people describe ‘it’s pizza time’ as “running from death” and ‘the death that I deserviolli’ as “daring death to catch you if it can” and honestly I have to agree.
Context for "It's Pizza Time" is that it is the music during the escape sequences in the game where the level is falling apart around and you need to basically get from the end back to the beginning. "The Death that I Deservioli" is a Lap 2 of sorts. After you get back to the beginning during "It's Pizza Time" there is an optional portal that will take you back to the end and you have to do it all over again with the timer continuing to count down. Not for the faint of heart, hence The Death that I Deserve...ioli.
"It's Pizza Time" bounces around in a different direction like a pinball every 10 seconds, but it never feels like it's genuinely out of control or gone off the rails. It's a brilliant composition that's arranged excellently and uses super-slick instrumentation.

If you want recommendations for a potential part two, mine are: - Extraterrestrial Wahwahs - Oregano Mirage - Tropical Crust - Peppino’s Sauce Machine - Bye Bye There!
Pizza Tower is one of those games where you think to yourself, "What is this game and why does the OST slap so hard?" I've been listening to it for a while, and it's a headbanger for sure. (My favorite tracks are Unexpectancy Parts 1-3 btw). Also I find PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS to be a really interesting boss track, because it's meant to be a corrupted version of It's Pizza Time, much like how the boss is a corrupted version of you. And yes, Pizza Tower has several horror elements in it...for some reason.
I actually didn't really enjoy the music of the noise update. It went a little odd and a bit too fixed on a single genre. I feel like the genre in question is a little too electronic even for pizza tower. Also locking in on 1 genre sort of removed the charm of it, since the classic pt music skipped across a huge palate of genres, so it had tons of variety and didn't seem like it was trying too hard to keep the mood the same. The classic pt soundtrack had very experimental type music which created a vast rollercoaster of moods for you to follow as you play along. The Noise update music doesn't really do that. That being said, I don't hate the music, and I feel like it had a lot of work put into it, I just don't enjoy listening to it as much. Also I love the song Pumpin Hot Stuff, so I don't hate all noise related songs
The fact that I believe this game was originally meant to be a *horror* game, it really explains a lot of the strange quirks. There's still some elements of that just laying around. One of which being the..."pizza time never ends" boss.
The Death I Deservioli is the most adrenaline pumping song I've heard while playing a game, probably because it's coupled with gameplay of trying to outrun your own death with aggressive amounts of speed
I guess since people are doing a good job with some of the context, I can give a shorter list of each song. Pizza Deluxe: Title screen (as you knew) It's Pizza Time: Oh god, GET BACK TO THE ENTRANCE! The Death That I Deservioli: You are tempting death by restarting the escape with whatever time you had left. Tombstone Arizona: Wasteyard is a graveyard. You get to turn into a ghost, surf corpses, and get chased by a ghost version of John (the pillar you smash for Pizza Time to start). This won't make you restart the stage like Pizzaface, but he does send you to the start of a room. Thousand March: The stage is literally called "War" and you have to race a clock the entire explosive stage. Oh, you also get a shotgun. Pizza Time Never Ends!!: Boss 4. There's a reason this song is familiar. And also "That doesn't work." It works brilliantly, because it doesn't. That is all I will say.
It's crazy how there are very few tempo changes in Pizza Time Never Ends. The weird drum beat is intentionally misleading, but the tempo is typically pretty consistent.
This game recently had an update called "The Noise update" with a bunch of new songs that are really insane sounding, would love to see you listen to some of the music from that update as well!
“It’s *Pizza Time* “ vs “ *Pizza Time* Never Ends” See the, you see the umm the thing? It replicated in both cool ways and meant to be a wrapped twisted version of Peppino’s (main character) song Pizza Time with Fake Peppino’s (Boss 4) Pizza Time never ends
Pizza Tower is genuinely one of the best games I've ever played, in no small part thanks to the music. There isn't a single bad track in the entire game.
The best thing about this game’s music (In my opinion) is that the tracks perfectly embody the character it represents. An example of that is “It’s Pizza Time!” As it perfectly represents Peppino, the Italian embodiment of crippling anxiety(TM), The ticking clocks, The spiraling notes seeming out of place in the track, and the end getting faster, it all fits peppino and his emotion. Another one, which is “Unexpectancy P3”, As peppino’s anger flourishes in the track, even bringing back earlier motifs from his travels. And that’s just the main character, the music for everyone just embodies there personality, with Noise’s soundtrack feeling silly and reckless, like his job and how he does things. The emotion of the characters that gets put into the music is generally my favorite part of the music. It brings together the characters And all and all sells the characters personality and emotions at current time. Sorry for the ramble just wanted to say this lol ok byeeeee-
god i love Pizza Tower so much it's my hyper fixation 😫 the music in this game (mostly made by mr sauceman) is sooooooooo good you gotta listen to the entire soundtrack I'M SERIOUS!!
"Why does this sound like the opening to Thriller" exactly what I was thinking 😆 Anyway I didn't know at all what to expect from a game called Pizza Tower, but it certainly wasn't that...the OST do be banging though
Honestly, pizza tower has tons of music tracks, and all of them are worth listening to, even the giant pile of the unused ones, and. "The Noise Update" music as well (after listening to Unexpectancy, it's up there with Pizza Time).
That last bit of the last song (PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS!) has 2 tempos, one standard and one swing, but they're lined up so that they are the same bbm I think, which gives a weird "this shouldn't be working but somehow it does" vibe. I love it because the location where the song plays has a similar "something is really off but I can't put my finger on it" feeling
I've been totally hooked on this soundtrack for the past year, nearly every song is such a banger. My personal favourites being Peperman Strikes!, Tropical Crust, Extraterrestrial Wahwahs, and Good Eatin'
I do hope you do a part two. there's so many more incredible tracks, from Oregano Mirage, to Extraterrestrial Wah-Wahs, and one of the best final boss themes ever made, Unexpectancy(parts 1-3).

It’s Pizza Time reminds everyone of Wario Land 4’s Hurry Up sequences, but The Death That I Deservioli reminds me personally of A Hat in Time’s Time Rift Collapse missions.
Oh this is an OST reaction, nice, i haven't seen many of these around. You'd think that a game about an overweight italian chef (who's named Peppino Spaghetti btw.) who can run at mach speeds running inside a tower that is NOT made of pizza because the pizza is aggressive and wants to destroy his restaurant would have wacky music, but not wacky good and banger music, also i love how the ''Hello There...'' in Pizza Time still manages to unnerve people, its great.
You gotta listen to the main boss songs from Billy bust Up Edit: the songs are core from the gameplay so you might want to watch the boss fights for better context + experience
This game's soundtrack has a lot of interesting variety in it, but it all manages to encompass that late '80s/early '90s vibe. If I can recommend anything else, it would be Tropical Crust and especially Extraterrestrial Wahwahs.
PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS is my favorite track in the game. It perfectly fits the situation where it plays. It's Pizza Time! ends up becoming your theme song as you progress, due to how often it plays. NEVER ENDS is deeply 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐝. Wonky drum timings and weird instrument choices, combined with verses slurring near the end, never able to keep up appearances for long. Not to mention how it devolves into madness by the end as the reprisal begins to babble the main melody over and over andoverandoverand- ...until finally returning to the quiet repetition used in the opening. The song tells a story. Great video! Thanks for covering this game, it's still got tons of gem left for a potential part 2 someday! It made me very happy to watch. Can't wait to see what's in store for next time!

"Pizza Time Never Ends!" doesn't actually change its tempo until the very end. It's always the same tempo, but the percussion and beat makes one think that it does. It's all just very... chaotic. Which is fitting for the boss it plays for 👀
I saw someone commenting on a live reaction of this game ost that Thousand March is the bastard child of Justice and Carpenter Brut and it's honestly the best description of any song I've ever heard lmao

In case you weren't aware, this game has three composers: POST ELVIS, Mr. Sauceman, and ClascyJitto. POST ELVIS did "Pizza Deluxe", "It's Pizza Time", "The Death That I Deservioli", "Tombstone Arizona", "Calzonification", and "Thousand March" were composed by Mr. Sauceman, and "PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS!" was composed by ClascyJitto. If you react to more Pizza Tower, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Unexpectancy Parts 1-3, Tubular Trash Zone, Unearthly Blues, Pepperman Strikes!, Pumpin' Hot Stuff, and Good Eatin'!
I HEAVILY suggest doing a Part 2 to this. You missed out on some great songs like Pepperman Strikes, Hot Spaghetti and especially Unexpectancy. This game has a lot of bangers
I am a HUGE fan of Pizza Tower, so im so glad you picked the songs you did! I totally recommend checking out more of them, and if you're willing, checking out some music from Homestuck!
@@MarioFanOnRUclips I don't like the genre it is set in personally. The genre is also way too abrupt of a change from the classic music. It also samples about every 3-5 seconds, which I was fine with when it was every 4 or so measures, but it just gets a bit annoying.
@@smashmonster6929 I see where you're coming from. For me it's not a problem since I like the samples very much and I don't get to listen to such music often. As for the genre, it fits to be different imo because the Noise is different than Peppino and the music reflects that. Eh, it's all down to preference at the end of the day.
Obligatory college essay on context time: - “It’s Pizza Time” plays at the end of every normal level, where after defeating a particular enemy, you have run back to the start of the level, racing a timer that pretty much spells an instant game over when it runs out. - “The Death That I Deservioli” is an attached to a gimmick that comes into play when you start going for high scores. After playing through the level once, you have the option to attempt a “Lap 2,” doing the entire escape sequence again without any extra time to get a higher rank. - “Tombstone Arizona” is the normal background theme for a graveyard-themed level, with a lot of ghost-themed enemies and power-ups. - “Calzonification” is the boss theme for the Vigilante, the floor two boss. The Vigilante is a sort of Wild West themed cheese slime, using revolver shots and dynamite in his attacks, and ending the fight in a quick-draw QTE. - “Thousand March” is the background track for the level “War,” one of the last (and hardest) stages in the game Th level puts a timer on the entire stage instead of just the ending, and requiring the player to break computers along the way to rewind the timer before it hits zero. - “Pizza Time Never Ends!” is the boss theme for floor 4, known as “Fake Peppino.” A sort of goopy shapeshifter-like creature that copies the protagonist’s likeness just wrong enough to be nightmare-inducingly unsettling that makes clones of itself throughout the fight, and references the themes from “It’s Pizza Time.” I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I say I’d LOVE to see another episode on Pizza Tower. “Time For A Smackdown” (the opening cutscene theme) Oregano Mirage (another basic level theme) and Unexpantancy (the nearly 10-minute, three-parter SLAMMER of a final boss track) are my personal highlights. The game also recently had an update, introducing a new playable character and even some new music, including another insane final boss track.
Please do react more to it! And if you do react to more there's 4 I would recommend. Funiculi holiday, Tropical Crust, Tubular Trash Zone, and Way Of The Pig! EDIT: 21:48 Don't worry! That was kind of the feeling they were going for, and I don't blame you. I would probably do the same lol!

Thouand March remembers me of Le Perv
Mr Sauceman both figuratively and literally cooked.
during 21:13 and 21:48 she didn’t blink once
I was possessed by pizza
I HEAVILY suggest doing a Part 2 to this. You missed out on some great songs like Pepperman Strikes, Hot Spaghetti and especially Unexpectancy. This game has a lot of bangers
I'd reccomend listening to the littlebigplanet ost, specifically lbp 1, 2 or 3. Its my childhood
If you do more of this, I'd recommend What's on the Kids Menu?, Yeehaw Delivery Boy and Funculi Holiday.
I love this soundtrack! You wouldnt expect this silly game to have such a good ost :p
If you listen to more i definitely recommend the unexpectancy songs, world wide noise, tropical crust, and extraterrestrial wah wahs
I am a HUGE fan of Pizza Tower, so im so glad you picked the songs you did! I totally recommend checking out more of them, and if you're willing, checking out some music from Homestuck!
No way she didn't listen to Unexpectancy. Pls listen to that and World Wide Noise.
No we need a video just for Unexpectancy and Bye Bye There. Those two songs are linked so strongly. Also World Wide Noise sucked
@@smashmonster6929 How did it suck bro. It's groovy and it builds throughout. Did you not like the voice sample at the end maybe?
@@MarioFanOnRUclips I don't like the genre it is set in personally. The genre is also way too abrupt of a change from the classic music. It also samples about every 3-5 seconds, which I was fine with when it was every 4 or so measures, but it just gets a bit annoying.
@@smashmonster6929 I see where you're coming from. For me it's not a problem since I like the samples very much and I don't get to listen to such music often. As for the genre, it fits to be different imo because the Noise is different than Peppino and the music reflects that. Eh, it's all down to preference at the end of the day.
@@MarioFanOnRUclips it toes fit to be different but i personally dont like it
love anything pizza tower ost love anyones reaction
Reccommending Crust Cove and Tubular Trash Zone
Obligatory college essay on context time:
- “It’s Pizza Time” plays at the end of every normal level, where after defeating a particular enemy, you have run back to the start of the level, racing a timer that pretty much spells an instant game over when it runs out.
- “Pizza Time Never Ends!” is the boss theme for floor 4, known as “Fake Peppino.” A sort of goopy shapeshifter-like creature that copies the protagonist’s likeness just wrong enough to be nightmare-inducingly unsettling that makes clones of itself throughout the fight, and references the themes from “It’s Pizza Time.”
I’m pretty sure I’m not alone when I say I’d LOVE to see another episode on Pizza Tower.
Love your reaction and analysis! Hope you listen to more tracks from this game in the future, It's literally all bangers
the voice in its pizza time near the end says "pepperoni". i think that funny
:)
pee peroni
waiting for part 2 I NEED "UNEXPECTENCY"
Please do react more to it! And if you do react to more there's 4 I would recommend. Funiculi holiday, Tropical Crust, Tubular Trash Zone, and Way Of The Pig!
EDIT: 21:48 Don't worry! That was kind of the feeling they were going for, and I don't blame you. I would probably do the same lol!
This OST is so good, it has no bad songs!
HOW CAN YOU REACT TO PIZZA TOWER BUT NOT UNEXPECTANCY??? It’s the final boss theme and widely regarded as the best
It’s not one of the songs that you should listen to first
Have you ever played Wario Land 4? Because that's the primary inspiration for Pizza Tower.
Would be surprising to see you react to some of Terraria Calamity's OST there's so much passion put into it, I'd figure you'd get a kick out of it
I do belive that is all synth and guitar througth the ost
I would love to see you react to the music in Inscryption. Especially G0lly’s theme.
recommendation: Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, the music in the game (much like in the show that inspired it) is incredible.
I forgot pizza tower existed 😅
Damn. You should have reacted to “Tropical Crust”
BEST. OST. OF. ALL. TIME. NOT EVEN CLOSE.
You have to listen to unexpectancy, the final boss theme. Best song in the game imo.
sinds this game is based on the wario land games you shoud listen to those game now too
Please listen to unexpectancy and the noise update tracks
Could you listen to the nightmare creatures ost the first game in particular
Love your reactions!! I'm curious how you would react to the Scott Pilgrim vs The World game soundtrack!
In the spirit of excellent indie games, you should check out the Spiritfarer soundtrack
please do more pizza tower in the future!
I cant wait for Deep Rock Galactic!! Oh the synths are synthin'
Pizza tower is still only a year old lol
Perfect Timing lol, just got a pizza outta the oven
whatever happens from 21:20 to 21:47 is so weird
Now i want a pizza...
AWWWWWE ITS GROOOVY!
BFG division
No Unexpectancy? Sadge :(
