More technique videos coming! What do you want to learn? Maybe even some “how to sing” videos on specific songs? I can break down an entire song with tips. Comment your ideas below! 💕💕💕
As a soprano, I’ve always been told that it doesn’t matter that I don’t have a strong chest voice but through watching your reaction videos I’ve realized how important it is to have that foundation and it’s made me a much better singer!!!♥️✨
thats what i needed, man. bc i get confused with the chest voice whenever someone with a lower register than mine demonstrates it, so as a soprano learning from a soprano is so much clear
Loving these explanations! I'm a casual shower/car singer and have zero technical knowledge and these help! If you continue these 101 videos, can you explain belting, head voice, and vibratos?
I would love a video about tone and pitch (I'm not even sure if those are different lmao I am very new to this). I have never been a natural singer, and I know I'll never be an incredible belter or able to make a career out of it, but I just would love to not hate the sound that comes out of my mouth :') I try to replicate singers and songs I hear but I just don't know how to get on pitch and do it consistently, and then how to improve tone/quality for different styles! I love these videos so much, they give me little hope that singing might not be a lost cause for me!
Hannah, I am a high school choir teacher who has 3 all female choirs. We are doing online school until October 1st and your technique videos have come as a GOD SENT. They are easy to understand, and they teach exactly the issues that students need to hear. I just wanted to say thank you for all that you have been doing. Keep up the great work!
I’m so thankful that you’re posting this! I’m a soprano who also talks in a high-ish register, so I’m very comfortable in my mix and belt but my chest voice is definitely not as comfortable. Makes it really difficult to sing notes like A3 and G3 (which are usually super easy notes for most singers)
Omg it’s like you made this video for me. Yesterday I was trying to dig into this stuff and sing correctly and I was searching through videos. This was super helpful 🙏🏻
I used to be an amazing singer but due to school i haven't practised in so long. Recently i started singing again but i realized that it hurt to sing so i love this so much because im able to take my own classes. Thank you!! I would love more videos on how to warm up and strengthen your own voice
Hi! I'm in love with your vids. I'm studying bel canto and no other youtuber handles this subjects with the care and responsibility you do. It's a blessing being able to educate myself with your content! I send you a hug from Mexico
I’m really glad you mentioned lower voices and where they should start as well!! I’m a soprano but my chest voice is really low and it cracks a lot of the time, it’s been like that ever since I was a kid so I often speak in head voice as well because it sounds better 😭. Surprisingly though my mixed voice isn’t too bad, as long as that head voice is there the instability goes away a little
As a kid, like 8-12 years old, I was in choir at school, and the teacher always taught us to never sing in our chest voice cause it sounded bad and to always sing in our head voice. Of course, as I got older and started trying to write and sing my own music, that lesson fxcked me up really bad. Until I found your videos I could not for the life of me figure out what was going on with my voice, but you helped me realize that I wasn’t able to get the sounds I needed because I wasn’t connecting to my chest voice, or like using it at all really. Anyway, thank you so much for putting these videos up. They’ve been a great help for me.
These exercises were so much fun! It definitely felt a bit weird singing in my chest voice for Popular at first😅 since I’m not too used to it! I’m going to keep practicing these!
Seriously thank you so much for these videos. Ur helping so many people. 😊 if you’re asking for new video recommendations I think a lot of people (and me 😂) struggle a lot with pitch. A video about that stuff would be soooooo helpful. Thanks!!!!
I'm never this early!!! Love your vids! Could you make a video about mixing as an alto? It's like all I have is chest voice and I can't tell if my mix is too nasally.
Ok...just to echo what Hannah is saying here...exercises like these really DO work. Especially, if you do them every. single. day. It is a life saver as well as learning to breathe! Straw exercises are good for that! Thanks for the tips Hannah! I am so glad you came across my "recommended list" on here! You're a gem! :)
I was hoping for this vid, thank you. I feel more comfortable with head voice bc my chest voice is weird and it sounds like I’m crying haha. I kinda have a whiny/nasally talking voice I think that’s why
Hi Hannah, great video! I was wondering if you have any advice for returning to your chest voices after singing higher, in a head/mixed voice? Lower notes tend to sound really airy or even cracky after I’ve warmed my head voice up. Thank you!! X
I know you reacted to Annapantsu before listen to her “Prince Ali” cover the original cover not the one based off the remake. Without a doubt her best at least in my opinion
I have found my mixed voice. However, it ends on A4 and when I sing higher, even with using pharygeal resonance, I sound like Bee Gees. What do you think is the problem? I am really tempted to just drag my chest voice up higher :( Help please?
I really wanna understand this but I kind of don’t get the “aim” if you know what I mean? I used to sing as a kid and I stopped and regret it but I never learned anything professionally haha. So I feel really left out the loop haha! But I love your channel and really appreciate the wonderful content you put out here
Hannah, question...if i can vocalize every single note plus some of 'Bring Him Home' easy peasy, comfortable, no tension...but I can't sing the actual song without getting tired. Is that likely a vowel thing, placement thing....what?
Hello! I’m working on trying to do music covers for my channel. However I don’t know if I need to do anything to make sure I don’t get copyright strikes. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?
I would love if you could run through some of the notes more. I never really learned how to read music so it's hard for me to know which note to start, and also where to find the note I should start on without hearing it from the source (hopefully that makes sense).
hannah if you want a great POC vocalist to react to. PLEASE PLEASE react to how can i ease the pain live by lisa fischer. she’s wearing black and she was on tour. amazing chest voice at the beginning, glistening falsettos, and stunning whitney sounding belts.
Can you please react to Regine Velasquez - Reasons, i would love to hear your thoughts and explanations on how does she belt that B5 note and if she's straining or not. Thank you!!!!! ❤
Hi Hannah! I just wanted say, great video, and that I found a cover someone made you should REALY check out! It's a cover of "No Way" from "SIX" by Kia brown. Hope you'll check it out!
More technique videos coming! What do you want to learn? Maybe even some “how to sing” videos on specific songs? I can break down an entire song with tips. Comment your ideas below! 💕💕💕
Any belting and mixing things! Maybe a video where you lead us through a good, semi-quick vocal warmup set?
Yes to all of that! Can't wait for more technique videos.
I’d love to see your recommendations for beginner songs or good songs for practicing strong foundations! 💪🏻
Hannah Bayles please do a head voice and about using nasal voice! I am doing it for a singing exam and this helped me understand. ❤️✨
How to sing on pitch would be amazing!!!!! (When I do it it’s kinda u predictable sometimes ) thanks!!
As a soprano, I’ve always been told that it doesn’t matter that I don’t have a strong chest voice but through watching your reaction videos I’ve realized how important it is to have that foundation and it’s made me a much better singer!!!♥️✨
HANNAH WITH A SPONSOR!? WE LOVE TO SEE A DESERVING CONTENT CREATOR GET RECOGNITION 🤩🤩
I’m working my way up!! 😭
i love that this channel is growing and that sponsors are starting to come in
My chest voice is SO underdeveloped thank you! Can you talk about singing thru passagios?
Yes, a passage video would be amazing. I always feel like I lose strength in my voice there.
thats what i needed, man. bc i get confused with the chest voice whenever someone with a lower register than mine demonstrates it, so as a soprano learning from a soprano is so much clear
Loving these explanations! I'm a casual shower/car singer and have zero technical knowledge and these help! If you continue these 101 videos, can you explain belting, head voice, and vibratos?
It's time to sound not terrible and only slightly bad
Mood!
Or time to wake up the neighbours 😅👍
Can you do a video on how to belt? I'm trying to work on that but can't quite grab the concept of it. Thank you! Love ur vids!

Really though, I cannot put in words how much you have helped my singing during this quarintine

Omg it’s like you made this video for me. Yesterday I was trying to dig into this stuff and sing correctly and I was searching through videos. This was super helpful 🙏🏻

Belting perplexes me!!!! I am a soprano one and when I think I’m belting Im really just loud in head voice.
Thank you so much for making these! They are super helpful!
found you through tiktok, i started watching your videos and they really helped me!

Both my mixing for men and mixing for women videos would be very helpful for you! (Until I can make more videos for altos 🙂)
Thank you so much! This was so helpful! I need to keep working on this! Xx
this video literally saved my chest voice, as a soprano even notes like G3 are incredibly hard and i want to improve it! thanks for doing this💗
Im so thankful for your videos❤
Meanwhile my awkward alto voice needs an explanation on how to not sound like a breathy and nasally child when I'm in my head voice 😂

Love from Brazil🇧🇷
that feeling when your speaking voice is a head voice 😥😥 singing lessons actually made my speaking easier because I focus on "chesting" more
Can you please do a video on head voice? I love your videos!
Yesss get that popularity now your sponsors can support you as much as we do
I was hoping for this vid, thank you. I feel more comfortable with head voice bc my chest voice is weird and it sounds like I’m crying haha. I kinda have a whiny/nasally talking voice I think that’s why
yas giiiiirl thank you for another great video ❤️🥰

You should really watch Sing On! It is SO good and you would love it!
I have found my mixed voice. However, it ends on A4 and when I sing higher, even with using pharygeal resonance, I sound like Bee Gees. What do you think is the problem?
I am really tempted to just drag my chest voice up higher :(
Help please?

Im too scared to sing or do vocal exercises since i dont want everyone to hear me T-T

thank you for this ♥️
Hello! I’m working on trying to do music covers for my channel. However I don’t know if I need to do anything to make sure I don’t get copyright strikes. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do?
My mix and head voice are strong but my chest voice is underdeveloped. Would you be able to make a full chest voice exercise video?
I would love if you could run through some of the notes more. I never really learned how to read music so it's hard for me to know which note to start, and also where to find the note I should start on without hearing it from the source (hopefully that makes sense).
And also don't have a piano to even figure it out :P
Sure! I’m also working on filming some vocal workouts that you can follow along with!
Scales. The name is scales 🤣
As a soprano I have a hard time with my chest voice. Can you make a video on belting as I tend to get pitchy in a bad way
I'm starting and ending in chest voice, but the second I go to the higher notes I can't keep the chest note going...
Hey hannah i think youd love Benjamin callins he does covers on RUclips especially his new cover of words fail!
