your emphasis on counting out loud is really helpful (and a good reminder). it took me over 2 hours but i’m finally starting to feel the dotted 8ths against quarter now instead of slowly counting!
We need you in Jamaica! What an excellent, inspiring, natural piano teacher you are! It's obvious you're doing what you are created for. May your days be filled with peace and good health! You are truly One of a kind!
Superb two-part presentation, thanks! After doing a bunch of websearching for improving L-R independence, this is exactly what I was looking for. I really like the way you combine the technical side of the actual exercises with explanations that place the various rhythms in musical contexts. Subscribed.
I love this guy! I did find his explanation of dotted notes a bit confusing, so I thought I’d just help a little bit if you did as well. Dotted 8th note = (3) 16th notes (1.5 times an 8th note) Dotted quarter note = (3) 8th notes (1.5 times a quarter note) I hope this is helpful!
I can play triplets & quintuplets (5 notes or scales upto 2 octaves) on right hand playing pulse on left as i've practiced 8 scales using your scales exercises., but these dotted feel & Quarter note triplets are really difficult....these r gonna take long time to get right i think....anyway, Thanks Jason 👍
