Thanks you sir got piece of lint stuck so would fully lock open or close took apart spring shot off found it tried again shot off again so put it all in bag and haven’t fixed until found this video months later
@WorthlessGhoul it should not rub along the spine of the blade. It will rub on the tang where the blade stays inside the handle, but shouldn't rub along the spine of the blade more than that.
Hi there, I’m the dummy who took mine apart before watching this and I did lose one of my springs. Know where I can get a replacement? Would really appreciate the help.
You can. Very carefully. Pop it off too aggressively and the tiny springs will evacuate at high velocity, though. The easiest way to oil the mechanics is to just drip some oil 360 degrees around the base of the blade and cycle it a few times. The oil gets drawn into where it needs to go.
Re-install in a large bag when working with stops and springs. Mine launched and was gone. Had to go back to mothership. Good video!
@@andrewdo9722 hope customer support treated you well.
Thank you so much for the guide. My knife fell off my bed less than 2feet and the springs dislodged. Your video allowed me to fix it myself.
Bro thank you❤❤❤ ps I had a spring fly off and I lucky found it 😂 my heart dropped but I heard it hit and got really lucky found it immediately after
@@WorthlessGhoul sounds like a huge relief 😅

Clean with rem oil and spray out with compressor or canned air. You completely voided the warranty taking it apart.
Excellent job thanks ive taken microtech and guardian tactical o35s i was curious about shootout anyway be well
Thanks for the video. I disassembled mine to clean it and thought I could figure it out myself 😑
Is it normal for the little block things that hold the springs to rub the top of the blade?

Hey mate could you tell me the size torx you use please 🙏
Thanks👍
Is the trigger metal or plastic?

Your best bet is to call Benchmade. They typically will replace anything like that. They might require you to send them the knife and they might not.
Can you take one scale off to oil the mechanism without it popping apart lol

Just use rem oil spray I the end the knife comes out and use compressed air. Absolutely NO REASON to take apart to "oil" it.
I took mine apart in a plastic bag AND STILL LOST A SPRING F%@#^
@lowbD I hope you can find it!
@@knivessportsandadventures9523 I JUST FOUND IT… And by a miracle, I put it back together. #winning
