- It's been 8 long years since I made a service van video so its time for an update! Here is a tour of my current service van which is a 2014 Nissan NV2500 (Low roof)
My van constantly evolves and changes from month to month and year to year as I rotate tools, bags, and products to make my work more efficient.
A few items in the video including the vacuum pump and recovery machine are company issue so I am not currently using my own.
Be sure to check out our full Amazon storefront to see all the products and tools I use. This also helps our channel grow!

Thanks for the van tour. I'm building a new truck for my company, it's always good to see what other people have done to get ideas.
Thanks man! I do the same thing!
Doesn't matter how many truck walkthroughs I see it never gets old. I always get ideas.
Thanks for watching Jordan!
Bags, backup bags and backups to the backups...and lots of buckets. I relate to to that tool storage system. Great setup. Enjoyed the video.
😆😆 Thanks for watching Gary!
I really miss doing this kind of stuff. You have your own little world of knowledge and all the special tools that go with it. I just don’t miss tossing furnaces into the attics and the crawl spaces.
So glad I just a service tech! 😆😆 Thanks for watching!
Great video! Ii wish you very happy new year,,!!!
thats a very nice efficient set up. Glad to see you soon ...
Only one refrigerant scanner, lol. Great Video, I like seeing van tours because it shows what other technicians normally work on the most. Happy New Year
Thanks for watching buddy!
thats a very nice efficient set up. Glad to see You're still alive, haven't heard from You in awhile. Happy New Year!
Thanks TP! I'm still alive and kicking! 😆
Thank you for taking your time to do this video and a Happy New Year
Thank you for watching Andrey
Great video! I also bought a DeWalt cordless vacuum w/ a 4amph battery from Amazon. I can't wait to try it out!
Thanks for watching Pedro!
Nice setup bud thanks for posting the video, keep em comming👍
Thanks for watching brotha!
Swear we think alike!! I’ve made mine made now 3 times always get to long. I get carried away with details lol!! Great video bro
Thanks brotha!
Good, inexpensive setup for the van. I like that vacuum kit in a bucket idea!
Inexpensive is my jam..
Nice and clean, Thats the way to keep it.
Nice setup! I like that pvc make shift tape holder! 👍👍
Thanks!
Happy New Year, brotha! Nice video 👍!
Thanks brotha! Same to you! 🤜🤛
Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year Randy!
Good tour Brad. Cheers!!
Thanks for watching Paul!! 🤜🤛
Good vid Brad ... Stay busy this New Year ...
Thanks Eddy!
Nice clean van, that’s the way to do it. 👍👍
Thanks Dave! 🤙🤙
Nice setup. You need a NITECORE HC33 1800 Lumen High Performance Versatile L-Shaped LED Headlamp. Best light for attics and crawlspaces. After I saw how good this was, I bought two extra rechargable batteries and a charger. Got it from Amazon.
Good video Brad, I need straighten up my sevice van and job truck. Lol I just wish it would qwit raining it wetter than I've ever seen here in central louisiana stay safe bro.
I hear that! Weve been getting hammered with rain for months now. Thanks for watching buddy!
Copper tubing, threeeights clear hose, spare wire, liquid tight conduit, Armaflex , Small umbrella, back up umbrella looks good though
We do a lot of UV lights in South Florida now especially since they went away from the copper coils the drain lines and drain pans are ridiculous as well as the mold in mildew. We changing the filters constantly the AC runs 24 seven
Look nice thank you
Nice video. I like seeing how everyone else loads up their vans. I’m still driving my 2004 Toyota Tundra with a utility camper shell on it. I made up some shelves to go on the sides for more storage.
I’ve been looking for a van for my company. How do you like the Nissan verses Chevy verses Ford.
Thanks for the input and Happy New Year.
Thanks for watching Matt.
I prefer this "box" style van because it utilizes all the space in the back where standard Van's leave void areas behind the shelves.
Nice video, thankyou
Can i ask you a question ? How many mile do you get per gallon ?
Very nice video. I saw your video that you made 8 or 9 years ago on the nv200. How do you like this current van compare to the nv200? Also when you use to drive the nv200 how did you get your condensers and furnaces to the job site? I am trying to figure out if I should buy an nv200 or the nv1500 as I will be new at running a business. Thank you in advance.
Most excellent Bradley me boy. You could fix anything there. I definitely like your bucket idea, just in case you need to make the poo poo and pee pees😸👌
😆
I really enjoyed the video, I have a 2012 NV 2500. I notice a lot of guys don't use the bigger tool boxes like I do. I just think it protects your tools a little better and actually takes up less room in the end. I love the two liter bottle idea to a PVC pipe... that's brilliant!👍👍 I wish I only had to carry one or two bottles of refrigerant. LOL I've got two of the main flavors with a total of 11 bottles, 22,134a,404,407c,407f,410a.R22D. 👎
Thanks man!
I've tried some tool boxes/tool chests in the past but they seemed to be way too bulky. Maybe the ones you're using are a slimmer option than what I'm familiar with. Time for you to make a van tour video. I'm always up for ideas. 😁
We do some coolers and ice machines but mainly heating and air work so we leave the other refrigerants at the office most of the time. No needed to carry them all when I may only need them once a month. lol
@@HVACinSC that's how I was at my previous employer. Since being where I am now, I only have to run residential every now and again, but mainly I do commercial and Refrigeration. I thought about doing the van ture but I'm a little reluctant. I had my tools stolen out of my van in my driveway. Since that time I built a building for my van and it's fully secured with my home alarm and high-definition video cameras. Along with some other unknown disclosed tool recovery systems.🤫😏
@@HVACRSurvival Damn that's sucks man! I completely understand but if you do decide to make a tour video I will definitely be tuning in!
@@HVACinSC I probably will.
@@HVACRSurvival 🤙🤙
I wish I could keep mine that neat inside !!
Only takes me about one hour each week to keep it this way!
Awsome video. I have been eyeing that cordless dewalt vac. How is the suction on it ? Good enough for inside condensor?
Thanks Cory! It's not quite as strong as a 120v shop vac but it's close. Clears clogged drains, picks up dirt/debris, and removes water from pans with ease. I'll have to do a little video on it for you guys.
I have that vac too and love and use eveyday. Mine has worn and taterd for proof! tried wet leaves in cu, won't do those. But it will do what Brad said, drains, water in pan, clean the floor or van! its got some power.
Make sure your van have alarm and “slick locks”. Mine got broken into a few month ago. They broke driver window and unlocked my van. Alarm didn’t sound. Because it had no factory alarm. 2018 nissan nv2500
My van has an alarm system and my company insures everything I have inside as long as I dont leave it unlocked.
HVAC in SC good!
👍
Where do you get the racks? I’m new to hvac but the van I have doesn’t have any kind of rack aside from the one for my tanks. I need to have something so I can get more organized. The chaos in the back is killing me
How do you like the nv 2500 and what size motor v6 or 8
Thanks
Will Nissan NV200 a good van for a new technician?
Thanks for sharing. Now save your life and move your torches to a less vulnerable spot.
😆😆😆 Thanks OSHA..
HVAC in SC on second thought, leave em there.😂
Been keeping them in the same place for nearly 20 years along with almost every tech I've ever worked with. I'll take my chances bud. Thanks for your concern and the thumbs down. 👍
HVAC in SC the smart ass reply is what changed my mind. Just showing a little concern for a fellow tech. Go Tigers!
@@briancarlisi2224 Likes and dislikes all register the same on YT so it make no difference to me. I'm the supertech of smart ass comments. 😎😎
Do a new bag review
Hello,,what is your liability, regarding LOCKING REFRIGERANT CAPS, if ‘you’ were the last person servicing a unit (. Huffing) from Maplewood NJ
I've yet to see any refrigerant huffers in my 10 yrs working this area. My 10 yrs in DC was a different story
As for liability, None. Umless there was surveillance cameras it would be nearly impossible to determine if someone left the caps off or if they were removed.
Do you like the nv2500? I will need to buy a new van end of this season.
I personally love this van!
what did you get?
1/2 diameter appions? I also tried this setup but want to try curling them up in the bottom like that now
Yes, its 2 6' Appion hoses. Great product and they fit perfectly in the base of the bucket.
@@HVACinSC sweet!
Man I got a carry a shit ton of filter dryers do you know how many coils we change in South Florida. And shit ton of nitrogen. Shit ton of 410 A LOL we have a lot of that stuff too. Oh yeah lotta capacitors man. We are going through them like crazy especially on the carriers.
We go through the same materials but we go to the office every Tuesday morning to restock inventory used.
That’s cool I’ve all actually been to the shop about 20 times in three years LOL I live far away. One of my bosses lives halfway so I pick up a lot of stuff from his house and drop off warranty parts I work in three different counties sometimes. I usually drive between 20 and 45 minutes to get to my first call. We have some clients near my house but for the most part the majority is farther. We have 72 employees and we work from Fort Lauderdale to Fort Pierce Florida which is a huge area. Specialize in indoor air quality and build multi system custom houses. Have 24 hour on-call services which sometimes sucks
👍
Check out my van, if there's interest I could make a longer more detailed video and answer any questions!
Where did u get the wall mount ????????
It came with the van but it's made by American Van Equipment
These vans are about 2-3K less than a ford on average. The only downside is they have such a short wheelbase. Not a lot of floor space compared to the 148" transit
I got a 2019 Nissan nv2500 now and still love it
Two is one, one is none.
That's right
Where do you keep your extra ammo?
In my EDC bag.
What about UV lights and air cleaners they take up a lot of space and I can’t just show up to the shop 80 miles away all the time
That sucks. We don't keep those kind of items on the vans because they get damaged.
Do you have any vacancy for HVAC technician plice reply me
Lost me on the epoxy. What is the use?
Uses are literally endless
Have you never came across a cracked evap drain pan? Keep the client operating until the parts come in... Come on man... dont ask dumb questions
Big difference from a install truck
Of course. 2 completely different jobs.
