This is one of those tutorials that I call perfect, really, no time wasted, explained everything in detail without getting too boring!
Didn't know what Media Encoder was used for until I watched this video. Thanks for the information!

Very comprehensive, concise and exemplary tutorial. Such clarity is rare. Thank you!
Thank you for the positive feedback :) Glad you enjoyed it!
This told me 100% what I needed. Well done. Love the no-bullshit straight-to-point approach.

That was very helpful! Thank you!

Finally a great video! Thank you!
You are welcome, glad you liked it!
Golden Gratitude.
To keep editing with encoding in the background is the wonder of grail.
No need for bigger and better computers, maybe.
Regards,
Chris
:) Adobe Media Encoder is pretty darn useful, that's for sure
Great, thank you. Starts 1.35, how it integrates with Premier and queue function. Start encoding 4.25. & drag and drop files directly in. 8.30 watch folders
Glad to hear you liked the tutorial!
thanks for making this video, extremely helpful! ive been editing video for years and had no idea how helpful media encoder could be. Ill never go back now.
You're very welcome, thank you very much for your comment :) Glad you liked the video!
Amazing why did I just find this video! Just started our RUclips Channel and this certainly will come very handy Thanks!
:D Thank you for the awesome comment!
Thanks for the tutorial and for not boring the heck out of me like the last video I watched form someone else.
Thanks for the feedback. Nice to hear I'm not boring the heck out of people :D
Great work - very helpful tips!
Good Information and really thanks for this.......As I am not the video editor.....but want to export only the file for theater video size...cause some video editor not in good in audio sync...so plz tell me that...how to create or export video file for DCP FILE....from adobe premiere...for theater release..?
Thank you! Unfortunately I have never exported files for theatre before so your best bet might be to contact the theatres and enquiry about what format / resolution / codec they want the files to be in - you should be able to then select those options in the options for your custom preset :)
awesome man. but im not able to download adobe audition and media encoder .can you help me !!!
It gets installed when you install Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects from the Creative Cloud
@@SurfacedStudio Yes it got downloaded but while im trying to open it. its showing as potential virus warning for video Encoder and application error for Adobe Audition.
wow, great work. my issue is i cant seem to get the gopro footage to convert properly. i just get audio. I have tried many things without success
I can't believe I've been doing RUclips videos for years and I didn't know about this
You learn something new everyday :) I use Media Encoder a LOT - almost all of my exports from Premiere and After Effects go through it
Amazing and thats how i started using encoder.
:D
Is their a way around the rendering of audio previews before it actually begins to render the file.
Bro!, You're the best
Right back at ya! 🤜
Tobi, you are the MAN!
:D
Your tutorials are always helpful! Can't wait to see more!
+Chris Dionté Walker Thank you!
Wow this tool is a genie in a lamp, tell it what to do and it will get the job done :) Thanks for making this really helpful tutorial!
No worries, glad to hear you found it useful
I never knew this at all gonna save me so much time.
:D That's great to hear!
Holy cow! Excellent, EXCELLENT tutorial video! Well paced, straight to the point. Awesome. Subscribed.
Thank you so much for the awesome comment :) Much appreciated!
You are amazing bro, from pakistan
Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Good day Tobias, I really think you should put a tutorial together, explaining how to use the search option within RUclips.
+whip-it studio ... I don't think that's really worth a tutorial. It's literally: 1. type text 2. press enter 3. see results
+Surfaced Studio thats what I thought but week after week I read posts asking you to make a tutorial that you already spent 20 plus hours creating and uploading for free. Apparently "There is a video for that " and " We already did that sh$t" hasnt helped either channel so I can only conclude that the search option is much more complex than compositing/ filmaking. A search tutorial would demistify this sly search option and will open the door for many.
I do appreciate the feedback :) However, I don't think it's a problem with the complexity or me pointing people to it - most people simply don't use it and no amount of content I'd make on the issue is likely going to change that XD
Very infromative and it's nice to know about this. Just one question though, if I have one same Premiere project in which I export several videos, can the encoder do all the jobs if it is the same project???
Thanks Tobias, you make very useful tutorials, without useless information and my time is well spend. :D
Glad to hear you're enjoying my tutorials!
thank you man!
I left a coment one one of your videos about media encoder.
Your tutorials are very good, they are fun and simple :D
Thank you, glad you're enjoying them!
I always wanted to know something like this.. Thanks for sharing this information
You're welcome!
This guy is the best!!!
:D
Amazing tutorial, I never knew what media encoder was but now I'm going to use it like crazy!
It's a pretty nifty tool :)
Do you have any idea how to get youtube to keep a good quality of your video after they re encode it? I'm using a GoPro hero 7 and after RUclips gets a hold of my videos they are ruined quality wise. pixilated etc.
That depends on so many things it's hard to say. I export everything in H264 codec, usually around 30 Mbps and that holds up OK. Do note that the quality improves over time due to caching and the file being send across the world depending on number of views, etc
Well explained. Thank you very much.
Glad to hear you liked it!
do you have a tut on the distortion effect for your text? Love your videos!
+SWADE Productions No I don't, I only recently switched over to the new style :) It's done using a displacement effect and some pixelated footage
+Surfaced Studio is that in after effects or plug in?
All done in AE
great video. new to adobe. bought the monthly cc. trying to learn as much as possible. wanting to do more videos on RUclips etc. question, do you know if there is an adobe program to live stream to RUclips live????
Thank you :) I'm on CC as well. Adobe does not offer any live streaming programs (not their market). Check out OBS (free and great) or even XSplit (fancier, but costs money)
man, fast reply. thanks for the heads up. looking for easy way to go live that looks really good without a ton of money and easy to hook up. just bought a Canon 80D can not believe it doesn't stream straight to a pc. now i have to buy an interface too.
I don't believe there's an easy way to 'stream' from a DSLR. Some models have clean HDMI output that you can capture, but you may have to screen record it off your computer to put it into something like an OBS stream
you are the best, thank you.
+أرقام 10 مفيدة No worries :D
Nice Toturial indeed!
Thanks!! Once we get our new Avid we will be dumping Sorensen Squeeze for this.
:D
oooooohhh oh my goodness ive been needing this program for so long cause i hated not being able to start on a new project while the video is rendering xD
:D You'll enjoy it!
Thanks a lot for this very clear tutorial!
Glad you found it helpful!
this great job can i ask question i done have on media encoder you tube or vimeo one know why this problam with project or media can help me with that
?? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. You're saying you just don't have the presets? Maybe you're on an older version?
yea its version 2020@@SurfacedStudio
You may need to reach out to Adobe. Unfortunately I'm not sure which version introduced / included which presets - but you can also just create your own if you don't have them :)
great tutorial.. thank you very much
Well done nice easy tutorial. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Bro, please can you make a tutorial on how to export transparent video from After Effects with Media Encoder webm?
No comment great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
+Hamed alwafi :D Thank you!
nice video. but, im getting a black screen when trying to encode into a different format. have changed the renderer to software only, but, nothing...
You have the best tutorials I've ever seen. You are an excellent teacher.
One question please, if I use RUclips 1080p preset is there a way to have it encode for RUclips but not post it?
I screen record games for my RUclips channel with bandicam. Bandicam files are massive so I use an app called Handbrake first to code and compress the video before I edit it Adobe Premiere. I would love to encode using Adobe instead of Handbrake.
+Eustace Pharmer Whether you choose to upload to RUclips is up to you. I never upload directly from Media Encoder
I actually have both of the softwares, but in my After Effects, there isn't a button for transferring the file to the encoder. I could drag the file to the encoder just fine though. Is that some kind of setting I'm not aware of?
nice video, you have earned my subscription!
Thank you very much for the support :D
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
You've made my life easier
Glad to hear!
I'm so grateful
thanks man
keep going
+Sk8 Haah Thank you :D
Thanks for sharing you made it seem really easy and easy to use. I can't wait to get started!
Thank you for the comment!
You have given me a very good overview, Thank you.
You're welcome :D
Great video tutorial!! I never knew how to use Media Encoder until now. You got into it quickly, the instruction was clear, and you are very engaging. Nice job!
Thank you very much for the kind words :) Glad to hear you found the tutorial useful - even though it's a bit on the older side :D
Thanks for the support
Welcome!
best tutorial ever, thanks
:D
Can encoder reduce your file size on finished videos?
Superb tutorial. Excellent job explaining program.
Thank you, glad you liked it!
superb.. thanks man.. you save my ram on macbook.
:)
Qustion..... Can you take 0ne 30 minute video and chop it up in to 3 10 minute clips in encore and then encode the separately?? so i will have for example 3 mp4 clips in my output folder?
Sorry, I haven't used Encore before. You can certainly do that in Premiere Pro though and then export/encode the clips separately using AME
Genau! vielen Dank für dieses hilfreiche Video
Kein Problem!
Awesome! Can you make a video about how you edit your videos? ( effects, lower thirds, programs used, etc.)
sir, would please show how to export videos in after effects cc 2017? Thank you.
I cover exporting in my absolute beginner series on After Effects (applies to all version): ruclips.net/p/PLs2aOcA-EaLN1TwemqyxdjTg2puGtwvkQ
Very Informative & I am the second
+Bharath FX Thank you!
Excellent overview thank you very much!
No worries at all :)
Awesome, thank you!
+EmpyreanLightASMR No worries :)
Surfaced Studio I didn't know this ran in the background, among other things (watch folder and multiple conversions).
Hi ! I'm watching you for a while and I really like your videos, but can you tell me the sound effect you used in your intro : 0:41 , when the text has that "welding" effect , I don't really know how to explain. I hope you understand ^^ .
(sorry for grammer mistakes)
+GABELEKTRO It's a mix of various different sound effects. I usually get mine from freesound: ruclips.net/video/e-d4g-QoHEw/видео.html
+Surfaced Studio Thank you for replying me! You helped me a lot ! ^^
Have a perfect day, sir !
You are the best!
Thanks man!
can you encode and while it's encoding can you edit the project you are exporting without the export changing? Thanks
As long as you don't save the project I believe Media Encoder will pick up the project with the last save
Awesome! Much easier then I thought now you've explained it, thanks!
+NetherStar Entertainment :D It's pretty easy - and useful on top of that!
Hey, Do you have a tip about MD CC2018-19 pls?
into the media browser panel I have selected local driver D. From there I click on my folder and click on my project , This one last opened into the right side of media browser panel....The problem is that I cannot delete the folder opened in the right side of media browser panel ! I selected all staff ctrl+A > press Delete button, but nothing happen
finally a tutorial for this!
+Illusion Cinema :D
Great tutorial. Super clear.
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
apologies for my ignorance : If you start rendering your file in Media Encoder so you can still make edits in Premiere or After Effects, will you still need to render it again when you're done making your edits? Will it save time when you are trying to export your project?
You can keep working in AE and PP while you export, but your changes will not have an effect of the current export - it takes a snapshot when you push it to Media Encoder
I am using a camera that shoots in interlace only. Do I need to de-interlace all my clips before uploading to you tube or vimeo? If so, How can I use Media encoder to de-interlace and change the source to progressive before I upload to the web.
Love this tutorial. Good job mate! Found a solution to my problem. I'm done with Handbrake now!
:) Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
+Surfaced Studio Hey! How i can export my videos/intros from adobe after effects cs6 i know how to do in cc but how in cs6?? plz you are god with these :'(
It's been the exactly same way for many versions now. Have you seen my basic tutorials for AE? Applies to all versions
Surfaced Studio Ye i have seen but i don't have that way to export from after effects to media encoder... and i love your tuts
?? You can just export through Media Encoder from AE (as shown in this video), can you not?
Thanks a lot, and now u r officially my master, will subscribe to ur channel...
Thank you very much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Great! Thank you!
+Aurelio Yuga :D
Thak you!!! Very Cool Videos!!
:) Thank you!
Great tips thank you!
You're welcome!
Great stuff as always! Thank you!
+ATWDigital No worries :)
Can you change the export path (Output File) for Multiple individual videos all at once? That would be so helpful, but I cant figure out how to do that.
Very useful tutorial! Thank you!
:D
you rock thanks for all your videos keep posting thanks
No worries, glad you liked it!
Been using AME, but I didn't actually know about most of these features, thanks for the tutorial!
Btw do you use a screen capture software or an external solution (Like an Elgato box, etc)?
+Taha C No worries, glad it helped. I'm using simple screen capture software
this channel helped me so much whit after effects (amv contest), and i hope it grows way bigger this year! Nice job!!!
+ygor sena Here's hoping! Thanks for helping :D
Which would have better export quality Render ? Is it through After effects or Through Media Encoder Which is a better option ?
Doesn't matter :) I'll be exactly the same quality if you pick the same settings / preset.
Grate stuff man. Thank you for tutorials , they are always interesting and very helpful.
+Zivko Subotic Thank you for the feedback :) Glad you enjoyed the video!
can this work with other editing software for example movie maker or camtasia
You can convert any media file as long as it's one of the standard formats supported. However, directly exporting from your program (e.g. Dynamic Link) will only work with other Adobe products
Thanks dude. Great vid that helped massively!
You are welcome!
thanks man.
The video was very helpful
Glad to hear :)
Awesome video, thank you so much :)
You are very welcome :D
Hi i have cc 2017 but my render at encore its so slow. and i belive i have a great laptop. Can you tell how to configure it? thanks.
Are you talking about Encore or Media Encoder? Encoding speed will depend both on your computer as well as the codec / quality you decided to encode your video in and the source file / size. There is no option to 'make it fast' other than changing your settings to something that is less taxing on your computer :)
Great video, but I am still stuck with an issue. I have Adobe Creative Cloud (2017). I am using After Effects and Mocha. When I click on my clip to track motion using Mocha AE it does not find the image source. Perhaps I could use Media Encorder and change the preset. I'm really confused on this, so please try your best to explain why Mocha AE is not working for me. Thank you.
You could try converting the video format, but not sure that's the issue. Try clearing your media cache and the Mocha cache. If the issue persists you may have to contact Imagineer for technical support
Thanks! Helped a lot!
:D
Hey Tobias! Thanks so much for this superb tutorial! You answered all the questions that I had!
Keep up the good work buddy! :)
Thank you for the great feedback man! Glad to hear you found the video helpful!
