Firstly, I want to thank you for the video! Kinda strange question: you describe a single bent plate ( bend along the line ). Do you know is there a way to create a plate bent along 2 different axes - used for "fancy" shapes? If not, what software are you using for such a task ( if you ever did )? Keep good videos :)
@@EIRCAD Hello and thanks for your reply. I use shown techniques In the video to create various folded plate mainly for folded spill/drip trays. No problem with that. My question is more about: how to create a folded plate bent "same" time around 2 axes. Imagine a complex shipshape, aeroplane, complex surface geometry etc - you have to bend around the longitudinal axis of the main object and you have local bends around a different axis. example: ruclips.net/video/5c0w0-o3Sc8/видео.html - is it possible to create plates in the bow area of the shown boat? Or you use 3rd party software for such tasks?
@@pavaogospocic9574 as far as I know, the method you suggest bends plate only around a single axis. And yes - I haven't found way to create bent plate around 2 axes in AdvSteel ( used for complex shapes as ship shell , some parts of airplane etc )
Hello there! thanks for tips for creating folded plates. usually i use first option, sometimes a little bit inconvenient. BTW could show, in someday about your tool pallet, i see you have additional ribbons (macros ribbons) there, could you describe about just basic functions what does it do and so on. Maybe some of the macros will be useful for us) thx in advance
Hello, why drawings are not creating? I got message that my parts are not standalone parts and can be details only as a main parts. Second problem i that when I try to create folded beam as your there is a message that beam cannot be created :(
There is a setting in management tools for standalone behavior you will need to set to what you need, regarding the folded beam it will need to have the model role and this should be directed to the correct Drawing Style in the Drawing Process your using.
I’m having the hardest time making a plate that is folded into the shape of a dome, or a bowl. Any tips?

Hi Dulat, there are video on EIRCAD showing who to add custom commands to the pallet and also to the tabs up top, let me know if you can't find them.
