Hi thanks for the tutorial. I have a question regarding BOM quantities. On my lists the "length" column for beams shows the combined length ie. if the quantity is 2 and the length is 600 it will show 1200. For plates it will show the length but not the combined total. Any ideas please?

The model roll wont delete as its connected to a system joint box, would have to dive in deep to delete

don't create the model view on the grid line, but through "2 points in UCS + front and rear depth" so you will get a camera.. and a model view

Stupid question: if I want to move a part orthographically (up the Z direction in particular). I come from SolidWorks and am trying to relearn my old disciplines; is there a way I can look at the model from a north elevation (for instance) and then move items in the z/x plane?

Helping for sure. I'm working on a beam with several stiffeners. the drawings I have are from the early 90's that were edited from the 70's and they're requesting updated shops. Each stiffener had a different part mark. How do I edit model roles to identify a specific size stiffener and assign it a specific prefix. I have 3/4"x7" plate and 1"x7" plate stiffeners. their part marks are m and b respectively.

Hallo Adrian, thanks for your nice videos and they are extremely helpful. I have tried to follow your model and i get problem with clip angle. It seems you have a layer named clip angle and all your connections function the way you want it to be, by which i meant by check for loose parts. On my side it shows all my connections as loose parts. could you please give some explanation or setting on how to make a connection from loose to tied. Thanks again!

I usually stick system line of steel member to a specific work plane that have altitude for easy to control if engineer and architect want to change building height

There’s a design flaw in the legs. There should be one more horizontal element at the top of leg to support the top properly, which does not span full width, therefore would only be supported from one side.

I want to connect existing w beam with new column HSS ( below the existing beam) with 2 clip angle , clip angle to be welded to the beam at site, HSS and 2 clip angle to be bolted to gather with slot in clip angle. please advise if i can make this connection with existing Maco or I have to make custom connection,
