Stupid question: if I want to move a part orthographically (up the Z direction in particular). I come from SolidWorks and am trying to relearn my old disciplines; is there a way I can look at the model from a north elevation (for instance) and then move items in the z/x plane?

Helping for sure. I'm working on a beam with several stiffeners. the drawings I have are from the early 90's that were edited from the 70's and they're requesting updated shops. Each stiffener had a different part mark. How do I edit model roles to identify a specific size stiffener and assign it a specific prefix. I have 3/4"x7" plate and 1"x7" plate stiffeners. their part marks are m and b respectively.

Hallo Adrian, thanks for your nice videos and they are extremely helpful. I have tried to follow your model and i get problem with clip angle. It seems you have a layer named clip angle and all your connections function the way you want it to be, by which i meant by check for loose parts. On my side it shows all my connections as loose parts. could you please give some explanation or setting on how to make a connection from loose to tied. Thanks again!

I usually stick system line of steel member to a specific work plane that have altitude for easy to control if engineer and architect want to change building height

There’s a design flaw in the legs. There should be one more horizontal element at the top of leg to support the top properly, which does not span full width, therefore would only be supported from one side.

I just happened to realize this... even despite changing settings to use gpu as main source and fusion recognized it, it still forces cpu, which is kind of mind boggling

Did you do a follow up to this one showing what the problem was? I had an issue today using custom connection across 9 identical members, yet only 5 worked , then the next 4, the orientation was completely wrong. Ended up having to just use Advance Copy.

Hi, are the drawing process images stored in the toolbar folder too? I can't see them in there. Would like to change them too but unsure where to store new ones.
