Thanks for your videos. Lots of helpful info. Our installations of handrail usually avoid field welds so we don't have splices and we detail the sections of handrail with loops on both ends. Code allows for gaps between sections.
they will probably not field weld these either, they will install internal sleeve, the separate sections with loops idea was shot down.
