Julie Kurtz will draw from their most recent book titled, Supporting Young Children to Cope, Build Resilience, and Heal from Trauma through Play (2023), to discuss how educators can learn to observe and value the stories that children tell us through their play and how to arrange early learning environments to reduce children’s stress, build their resilience and support their healing through play. They will share a range of authentic stories from their book and their own professional practice. Participants will learn tangible, accessible strategies they can use right away in their work with young children.
