I just love how Whitney changes up the melody a bit from the original during live performances and somehow sounds even more awesome than the OG version.
Her ear was exquisite, the things she heard within the music was what made her a genius. No offense to other balladeers but Whitney wasn't just big belts and high notes, she assisted her music and ALWAYS brought the most out of her vocal lines and passages. Whitney was by far the most creative live vocalist ever, her singing was capacious and always had depth.
