the only micro you have with brood is to shift right click so you get all your spiders in 1 place so it looks like 1 spider and that hold control spam tab and right click so you scatter all the spiders around you or in jungle so you get vision
Edit: you can also bind a key to select all other units in unit actions in advanced hotkey settings.

what does hold control do?
@@alvinohlsson5986 if you dont hold control and just press tab all the spiders will count as one unit but when you hold control its each spider on it's own. Test it out in demo
Edit: if you wanna do it without holding control you need to enter dota_selection_group false in the game console

I also find a lot of use out of getting Skadi when going up against strong manfighters, as the base damage it provides for universal heroes combos well with brood’s Q, which scales with base attack dmg
skadi on her makes the q hit so ridiculously hard

Slardar actually does counter Brood hard since as Speed mentioned Brood has terrible armor. All of Slards damage is physical, so he kinda melts Brood...

But does he work as a carry cause most times i see him he is usually mid, i'm playing around 2.5k mmr points would i be able to carry my team in safe lane as brood carry.
Due to how much heroes give for kills and how little objectives give, Brood mid is pretty bad as she has terrible rotation potential. She used to be picked mid because she could dominate the lane with spiders and take that into early towers.
just did it and yes, totally works in USE 2-3k bracket. just listen to speed and don't feed before using ult/webs to flash farm ur items, and don't dive without Q up. U take towers and obviously win manfights with just about anyone. once you're online and have taken offlane T1, move to a lane with towers you can push and keep farming between shoving, jungle, and hero kills. you do lack AoE dmg though, so watch out for illusion heroes

In my rank, I like to counter it with Tiny Khanda. One toss clears all the broodlings. Thankfully, Broods aren't this good lol
The hero uses the spiders mainly to farm. It's perfectly capable of fighting without them.

Umm you dont even need Khanda to kill the broodlings. An avalanche or toss is enough since the broodlings have 300 hp and lvl 4 avalanche or toss deal 320 damage. Also just tree grab with echo sabre is enough to kill the broodlings.

I feel like brood is still under-powered. Quite low win rates demonstrates this. Giving her invisibility and removing movement speed limit would be a good idea, could make her more playable. I'm looking at you Gaben ;)
You are saying that having 86 % win rate at top 200 immortal is low? Wtf drugs are you on? Certain heroes have a low overall winrate because lower ranked people cant play those heroes. Brood has a 52,57% winrate in 5k+ MMR. Does that look under-powered to you lol?
@@Ex0rz Yes, it is true that a fraction of people are able to achieve a higher win-rate with the hero through years and years of dedication and discipline. However, they are not the only people playing the hero.
@@fosheimdet So a hero should be buffed because some people cant play it? What an amazing thought! You do realize balancing heroes has nothing to do with players skill? You do realize that instead of crying about a hero feeling underwhelming you could actually learn to play the hero? Valve cant just buff heroes because some people cant play them. Theres also the pro scene which plays a big part when balancing heroes.

Vlads is a terrible item on brood and on any pos 1 in general. The spiders become useless in team fights mid to lategame since they die way too easily to aoe damage. Vlads is an item generally build buy supports of offlane, but never the carry.

I think Khanda is better than Daedalus due to her low CD Ultimate
Nah Brood is about rightclicking and you gain way more rightclick damage from Daedalus. Plus Brood is a split pushing rat hero as well and thats where Daedalus is a much better choice. You dont really benefit from Khanda when split pushing or ratting...

You do realize that you itemize according to what the enemy heroes are? Literally zero reason to get a bloodthorn against those heroes when you can simply buy abyssal.

also good but I prefer Khanda if you're building bloodthorn on brood(which changes the playstyle). this type of build is straight up man to man fight with enemy carries
Yes Khanda is kinda useless on this hero. Brood is a right clicker and a good split push hero so she benefits from daedalus way more. You really need as much damage as possible in order to burst heroes down with physical damage and to keep your self alive with the insatible hunger lifesteal.

at least bloodthorn right now does not deal damage after its dispelled.
I've only used her like once after picking up Dota 2 a few months ago (lost badly, bad idea using her), but I'm happy that Broodmother is closer to her original Dota 1 iteration now with her ability changes. Not having invisibility while in her webs is perfectly fine.

If you're running brood you need to ban viper. It's unplayable the second viper gets his ult.
can buy windwaker or even just euls and just wait out the ult duration, sange and yasha will also reduce the duration
Xd Broos has always been the insta killer pick to viper. His low armor makes him a scary little girl when u have spiders online. Although I guess now than u restore ur life like a Thirst (new innate) and not passively regenerating inside webs. Makes it more equal
@@raulmontero8736 I'm more talking about the break on his ult making it a trash matchup and it can't be dispelled. All he has to do is save it for you in every team fight and you can be focused easily. I suppose with both lifestealer and brood in the team he would have to choose which one to break.

@@JayLinden786 Lel. Well you should try it out. I don't use zoo heroes, but some heroes I use generate illusions (Shadow Demon) and Unified Orders have been useful with controlling them.
