Of course I graduated :) been waiting for this video a long time now! Appreciate how many man hours went into this, might just be your Magnum Opus. Your depth of understanding with Wisp is on full display here. The clockwise vs. counter-clockwise spirit hits and Tether to recover a missed pull were 2k MMR delta tips alone. Beautifully executed video
Nice vid! I updated my Io build for League Of Legends players with some of the info from this video. I'm happy to see that the item and ability builds were very similar, i hadn't added glimmer cape before or seen the power of locket early. My favorite IO pairing is alchemist, since he's already hard to kill but now it's insane. Also, low base attack time pairs well with bonus attack speed.
Ayy, awesome to see you here! :D Thanks for the nice words! And yeah I used to do Alch + Io with a friend way back in the day and it used to be really fun.
Your idea for the innate for IO is great! I would add/describe it: IO can tether to any watcher, instantly, neutralizing or capturing it. Doing so will apply a 5 second True Sight and/or (?) Flying Sight to the watchers radius.
At first i thought something like this, but ill have ti disappoint you and tell you that he meant that the tether to be already present in lvl 1 like mischief on mk or alch greed
God, it was absolutely amazing, a lot of things to learn of and think, this freshes our way to build up our game and improves the way we play it. As indeed, another HUGE MARVEL, from you. Thanks a lot for giving us this little space of learning and improvement. Love this channel dude.
I certainly graduated. Great video! I wanted to play IO for a long time but had very little knowledge on how to play the hero properly so I only used it while stacking with friends in very few occasions. Now I feel a lot more confident to try the hero out and add it to my roster. This is the first video I see of yours and I certainly want to stick around.
I graduated! Went from an abysmal 31% win rate last year, and now I'm at 44% winrate with IO on divine SEA pubs ever since watching your videos and streams. The guide is simple, easy to digest, and even the more experienced IO players will still learn a thing or two from your videos!
I gratuated, thanks for putting in the effort to make this guide, I have two friends that really love IO and in conversation with them I learned a lot of what was talked in this video, it's very insightful.
Thank you soooo much for releasing this. There wasnt any good IO guide on youtube that I could find and you just made my life 10x easier. Getting this from someone that has your level of mastery on this hero for free is insane. Love you
I gratuated 👌 A really great guide! I usually have a hard time watching anything from start to finish without skipping 😅but i was locked in for the whole video 👍👍 Edit : forgot to add, Liked & Subscribed!
I haven't played for a year now, and I am not even an Io main, but I still graduated lol. Great guide! Detailed and with supporting visuals as well. This makes me want to play Io instead of spamming CM, Earth Spirit and Oracle mindlessly.
I graduated! Also my starting items are almost always wand, tangos 2 observer and 1 sentry 1 observer for mid and possibly a sentry depending on the lane I play
Couple thousand IO games here - quick aggressive relocate tip. Don’t get into the habit of tethering right before you teleport into ganks. If possible, make sure your tether is off cooldown, so you can combo the aggressive teleport with a potential save on the port-back to the original cast. To rephrase, make sure you cast tether BEFORE casting relocate when using for ganks, your tether will be off cooldown right before your timer expires on the port back. Has resulted in a ton of extra saves for me, and a cherry on top of successful ganks to keep snowballing a winning game. This is of course the opposite for defensive relocates, usually want to hide and wait to tether as long as your allies health can afford it so you dont get stunned during channel.
They're a lot of work, at least when done they way I did this one. I'm considering making similar guides for other heroes though. Any heroes specifically you'd want to see a full guide for?
Been waiting for this and was so excited to see it in my sub box! I have a 56% win rate over 36 games on him - I haven't finished the video yet, but I'm gonna try and increase that after watching the rest! Excited to see what I was doing wrong in all my games lol
Very cool! My tip is to wait some time before tethering when you relocate if you possible. You can sometimes tether at the very last moment and make it appear like the tether target just disappeared and the enemies will have a more difficult time finding you compared to obviously tethering in and then winding up the relocate. Also Kritzkrieg and Medigun are TF2 references- #fixTF2. Great guide.
I graduated :) I played this bad boy back in 2014/15 idk even when it came out. I got the arcana way back while I was still playing dota at net cafe for 15 hours a day with my friends. After all these years I was thinking of starting to grind Io back, and this video comes out. Yep. I'm spamming the shit out of it now.
My favorite pair for Io is Legion Commander Whenever you see an isolated hero, you can TP and farm a cheap damage. With LC I usually rush Solar, so the duel farming is more reliable
Amazing video! 8:54 I feel like there is a little bit of confusion. I know that you know the correct mechanic as an IO player but you don't really mention it. The 275 Heal comes, because the AoE heal is applied to Gyro The 330 ist IO healing himself and transferring it via tether. Why do I mention this? IO can't be under negative buffs that reduce health amplification. It can turn out that Meka heals more by itself than via tether if you are focused with Skadi and vessel.
i graduated :3 already a long time io player but i love seeing more information on my favorite heroes even if i already know most of it! definitely gonna spam io again for a little bit lol
I graduated :) I haven't played in a long time, so it's been sad to see Overcharge isn't a Toggle anymore! I've always been scared off playing Io more because of team communication, I'm just a filthy pub casual, but I'm gonna just bite the bullet and see if I can make it work! Thanks for the tips :)
@@QwerQwer-yo7hdbut tether has damage.. Even purge discuss the importance of helm of domni for io. U can get neut even accient.. Tips: get the wind bird and get enemy behind using its skill.. Auto kill...
IO can follow Barathrun if the link is made after Bara runned through. At almost limit distance link to Bara, and you will be projected until bara stops.
Nice video. Only you forgot to mention about relocate that i hate sometimes is that intiating relocate will stop any movement or action you are doing. Sometimes i am following tethered unit and click elsewhere to relocate. If unit is not paying attention they can break link for that split second
Just one more thing for the saving part of relocate of io If you have snapfire with aghanim in your team, snapfire can %100 save you from returning to the original point. Let's say u just used relocate in your base to save your teammate, then you as an io player immediately should go to the snapfire, and snapfire should use his "gobble up" spell on you when relocate comes to 2 seconds !
i have more than 1500 game with this hero, the best thing with this hero is he's rarely get patched. but when they do, they just nerf him. best hero to play with friend! remember when no speed limit restriction ? io +spirit breaker combo.

Alternatively he can set up static storm prematurely before relo is completed- making u relo into dis ult. Also honorable mention to kunkaa as u just cant play around the X. And euls on io is very wack.

Pro Tip: bind scroll wheel up and scroll wheel down to spirits in/out. Makes it much more fluid as it leaves your left hand for other items and spells

Rod of Atos
Diffusal Blade
Nullifiere (after buying 1 or 2 support items)
And Personally my favourite (my friend immortal always want me to buy it)
Eul's Sceptre
