I remember from the Elder Evils splat book, one of the scenarios included a marilith dervish. (For those of weary memory, a Dervish is a prestige class that lets the practitioner incorporate swordplay into dancing, with an emphasis on speed and quickness.) I should point out that the scenarios in that book are intended to be grand finales to long-running campaigns... The marlith in question was thus likely the third-to-last major foe the epic-level PCs would EVER face, and that's saying something.
The parry is good, but it's not incredible. As per the description of the parry reaction, "The marilith adds 5 to its AC against *_one_* melee attack that would hit it." So multiple front-line fighters each with multiple melee attacks would only see that AC bonus applied against one of their collective attacks.
Thanks!

"Wierd twisted mermaid"
You know mermaids are messed up in the 1st place, right?
Being part snake is at least less slimy.
