Emmm, I've found several factual errors. Spelljammer is from 1990. Dark Sun from 1991. Planescape from 1994... Wizards of the Coast didn't acquire TSR until 1997, so there's no way they made those fantasy settings. It was all TSR. In fact, part of TSR's downfall was splitting their consumer base by making so many different settings (it was great creatively, but a disaster economically). Wizards avoided that mistake by concentrating on one or two base worlds...
Fact 9 - Greyhawk was the first supplement, yes, but it has nothing to do with actual Greyhawk setting lorewise, and was more of a compilation of special rules used by Gygax. Because Greyhawk Supplement was written by Gygax, in comparison with Dace Arneson's Blackmoor [which again was a compilation of rules, having nothing to do with describing the actual campaign setting] Fact 11 - the first published module was "Palace of the Vampire Queen". Or, if you;re counting only TSR products, G1-Steading of the Hill Giant Chief. Or even "Temple of the Frog", which was a scenerio included in Arneson's Blackmoor [so technicaly not a module by itself]. "Tomb of Horrors" was the first module written for the Origins 1 convention. Fact 14 - The Basic D&D started with Holmes revision of the original White Box, but quickly become it's own thing. At first it was marketed as more simple version of D&D [which it was, because AD&D 1ed was a bit of a mess with it's rules], but with Moldway B/X and Mentzer BECMI [culminating in Rules Cyclopedia] became it's own thing, better utilising some concepts [skill system and fighter's weapons specialization]. Fact 15 - Strangely, the Monster Manual was the first published book for AD&D. The Player's Handbook got released the next year. Fact 18 - I understand that on so many levels xD the classic art got that sweet spot between campy entertaining and downward silly. Great stuff! Fact 20 - The so called THAC0 was introduced in AD&D 2ed and Rules Cyclopedia for the Basic D&D, and was basically the same thing as before, but without the big tables. Players were just subtracting Armor Class from the THAC0 value of a player character. It wasn't that complicated when you read about it, but increasing Armor Class and throws against it in modern D&D is so much better. Fact 21 - Just my opinion, that animated show was probably the best of the D&D movie/series adaptations we ever got xD Fact 23 - Which is interesting, in the book that was written by William Dear he thinks that this could have connection by D&D, but the quickly learns more about the D&D itself and the missing boy potential problems. Still, the media couldn't resist that hot topic with really profitable Satanic Panic that was going on that time. Fact 24 - First role of Tom Hanks. The movie is on that golden scale of being so bad and so entertaining because of it. Fact 30 - ....and also he illustrations of three headed hermaphrodite giants with the faces of TSR workers xD that module got some history. Fact 43 - And before that, we have M1-Blizzard Pass and M2-Maze of the Riddling Minotaur, which were solo adventures for the BECMI D&D, released in the 1983. Fact 54 - The Dropping of 'Advanced' and using simple 'Dungeons and Dragons' got some legal things to do, which expired when the third edition came out. Fact 57 - Ranger, Druid, Paladin and Bard were already core classes in 2ed. Fact 76 - As the Eberron setting was the most advanced in technology, certain aspects as flying ships or anachronistic inventions were part of Mystara, the setting for BECMI and Rules Cyclopedia. Fact 84 - Every class was played the same, but that just my opinion. 4ed got some really goo things. Great video, btw ;)
anther Fun Fact: there is a Diablo 2 Boardgame based on ADnD 2nd Edition... as well later a full on Supplement with DIablo 2 character classes and a whole campain for the full rules of 2nd Edition
You deserve more views, mate. Can't imagine how much effort was put into making this video. Job well done, cheers!
Thanks a lot!
Agreed
"D&D may cause Freedom, Critical Thinking, and Heresy" SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME TO ME 😎

I was one of the play testers on 3rd Edition. We came up with the cover rules.
This is like... a D&D documentary. This rules!!
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed!
Amazing, and instructing! As usual! Great job, keep it up with the quality, and with time you will have the subscribers you deserve!
10/10 effort and content, you sir have got my sub
8:21 yeah that is probably my favourite episode of d&d
His name was Dave Arneson, not Dave Anderson. You should probably get the name of D&D's co-creator right in a D&D facts video.
This was brilliant pal. Keep it up.

How awful to think there was a time (and not all that long ago) where people could openly call 'Critical thought' a BAD thing! 😅
9:44 .. i tie religion and mental instability together 😂
The man's name was Arneson - Are Nuh Sun , Not Airunsun
Id like to see proof from religious people of demons that were summoned lol
