Ok, this videos convinced me to buy it. It's extremely expensive, over $100 for all the DLCs, which is insanely expensive for such an old game, but it looks absolutely incredible. I have to.
Hi Jeffrey. Just want to say a huge thank you for posting these tutorials. They may be 9 years old, but I still refer to them often, even though I've been playing the game for equally as long. It's just great to get tips from a qualified infantryman (even if I am ex air force)
There no one on youtube that can make a better combat mission video than you colonel! I wish you were able to do more. I think i have watched your series over 20 times lol. Very enjoyable!!!!!! Thank you sir.
Amazing series! Please consider making more videos like these six, I would watch every one with the same enthusiasm as the first six - which I keep watching to learn from you. Thank you very much, and please consider making more...
Explanation and illustration combined perfectly in this intricate simulation. Thanks. Your expert, experienced perspective is very much appreciated. Now, let's see, where did I leave my patience?
Hi Jeffrey, I started playing a couple months ago with CMBN and also picked up Final Blitz. I had one of the early games 10 years ago or more, but without great tutorials like yours I found the games to be too hard. I am so glad I came back to this series, these are the games I've always wanted. I hope to see more from you in the future!
You sir, are amazing! I could watch your videos all day long. I have learned so much. Thank very much you for taking the time to post these wonderful lessons. I hope there are more to come, they are very enjoyable. Thank you!
Fantastic - thanks for making these. The fact that you can apply high-level analysis like this to the "game" (really a sim, I guess) indicates its high quality in depicting combat.
After watching the 6th video.. Im all in... purchased the Italian campaign and the Gustav Line... I totaly dig the Battlefront series.. The training videos have helped alot and have changed how I conduct my battles.
I really wish you would make some more videos featuring combat missions, even if you only make some battle-by-battle commentaries, your videos have already helped me win some battles with this game. Thanks.
Hi, I stumbled across your combat mission series and wanted to say that I really enjoyed it, very well put together. I assume you are done with youtube as your last upload was 7 years ago. I hope to see you return one day. Have a good one fella.
Fantastic work. Like others I'm sad to see it come to an end. Is there any chance of you documenting other CM games you play? It's fascinating to hear your thought process so I'd watch 'em all!
These videos have kinda made me want to try the multiplayer. I've played the CM games since the beginning but I've never played against a human. I never have anyone to play with. :(
Obviously this is ALL fantastic and articulate from a man that , of course, knows how to relate. Armatures such as myself have a firm understanding of certain things to do, but not what NOT to do... If i could merely be your adversary i think i could learn tons. But of course time goes on and this is certainly not a priority. If you ever have an urge, let me/us know.
Your AARs are better than war movies and I'm hoping to see some more. Thank You, those must have been extremly time consuming. Great work. PS. Are You looking for an opponent?
Kenzie, kenzie. I can help your lack of players! Let me extend an invitation. I'm a staff member of the site We Band of Brothers. All we do is play Combat Mission!! Our members are mostly from the US, Britain, Australia, Canada. Been with them for 7 years; the community dates from 2001. We care nothing for ladder ranking. For us, it's playing scenarios and tournaments. The game is so much better versus a buddy, we always give a big hello to any newcomer. For years of fun, drop me a line.
Question. Is there smoke in this game? I know they had it in WW2, used extensively in the Italian campaigns especially up by Cassino. I haven't seen any in this gameplay so I assume it is not in the game.
Jesus, why the hell have they still got that awful, awful floating map? It looks absurd, takes me right out of things, and is an issue gaming solved some twenty years ago. And why the hell can't the figure out how cameras work? Zoom to cursor is not hard. Great games. Fuckin excellent games, but seriously ridiculous shortcomings that could be handled in a day or three if they'd bother.

It should be worth it in the long run!

Thank you for these awesome videos! I'm just getting back into CM again and they were a great refresher.
Explanation and illustration combined perfectly in this intricate simulation. Thanks. Your expert, experienced perspective is very much appreciated. Now, let's see, where did I leave my patience?
Thank you Sir for always providing excellent training in the CM games!

Thank you for your time Sir.
Love the combat mission format, thanks for the videos, well done.
Fantastic - thanks for making these. The fact that you can apply high-level analysis like this to the "game" (really a sim, I guess) indicates its high quality in depicting combat.
Thank your for making these videos. Very educational, and entertaining as well. And by far the best videos about CMFI on youtube.
Superb tips, improved my combat mission skills and gaming experience significantly! thank you for a great series!
Greatcontent, Love the way you brake your situation down in your AAR. And can see you spend lots of time and effort on this. Thank You

Thankyou
Outstanding effort. I hope you consider doing some more.
No! Why stop the series???? Please consider doing some more AARs. I enjoy those videos so much, I'd happily pay for another series.

Is it just me or is his voice awesome???
Not just you. Perfect for this kind of voice over, calm and in control. Sounds like a general relaying his days events.
I really wish you would make some more videos featuring combat missions, even if you only make some battle-by-battle commentaries, your videos have already helped me win some battles with this game. Thanks.

Talk to people, get on forums. I'm downloading Combat mission Afghanistan right now. Private message me if you want to play a game.

Men of War: Assault Squad has better graphics but Combat Mission has better gameplay
Is he playing AI or a human opponent?
arjuna rabindranath I was playing a human opponent.
Jesus, why the hell have they still got that awful, awful floating map? It looks absurd, takes me right out of things, and is an issue gaming solved some twenty years ago.
