    Congratulations to you!!! Just starting my grad program in clinical mental health counseling. I started my goal of being a mental health counselor later in life, so I'll be 57 when I finish the program. I believe this is a field you can stay in into your 70s if you want to. I'm hoping to have a nice career in the later part of my life.

    Congratulations KD, I’ve been following you since this is the path I would like to take, I am 41 and finishing my AA degree now, to start my bachelors, do you recommend a full time job while working on my bachelors? Is it possible ? Will the loans help me survive? How people go thru this process ? I have a Lot of questions that I am trying to figure it out before starting my bachelors. Thank you

    • @kdcounseling
      @kdcounseling  Год назад +1

      Hello friend. My experience was working through bachelors and masters. I wouldn’t recommend living off loans. My school would max out my loans each semester so I would get only a few hundred dollars back from that. I guess it depends on your circumstances but remember loans have interest. If it was me I would rather pay for my things now for cost rather than finance them and pay 10x what I borrowed in the future.

    Darn was really hoping you could do my resesrch proposal Klaudia 🥺🔍 Obviously jk, actually finished that class not even two weeks ago for the summer term lol 😅 Seriously though, it's been a while I stopped by Klaudia, glad to hear you finally made it to the end, and are already having your eye on the ball for the next steps in your counseling journey! 😊🎓 Always remember your an inspiration to all of us fellow future counselors, and it's always a joy to hear your own progress as you continue along this journey 🙏 As for myself in brief, just finished my first summer term, and yeah it was quite a challenge ngl, but did ended up getting all A's thankfully 🙂 We start this coming Monday for fall, but I think this is where everything starts to connect, as we dive into Multicultural Counseling and Theories/Techniques/Procedures Part 1 🧠💭 So I'm certainly excited to see what challenges we'll be up against these next few months, but I think it's going to be fun! 🍂❤️

    Please help me!! One could say that the early roots of the counseling profession had to do with helping people deal with their external world, on the one hand, and helping people deal with their internal world, on the other hand. What would the external world refer to? What would the internal world refer to?

    • @xoashley8402
      @xoashley8402 Год назад +1

      i think the external world would refer to things like death in the family, job loss, break up or relationship troubles. things that just happen in life. internal to me sounds like emotions, thoughts, anxiety, depression, etc

    • @joycelin5848
      @joycelin5848 Год назад

      @@xoashley8402 Do you think this is a good answer of my personal approach to counseling theory? I want to connect with my clients and get to know them as a whole person. I also want to work with clients that are interested and motivated to explore problems from their early childhood to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
