Am sooo pleased this beautiful building was saved from demolition. It’s heartbreaking how many magnificent buildings were torn down. I really enjoyed this video. Well done.
Such an elegant mansion, and it has been well preserved. 💗 the ornate black wrought iron fence and gate. The rooms shown look so "normal," in a good way, which is different from most grand homes of the time. I'm so happy that it was rescued. Thank you, Ken.
Armstrong House is absolutely stunning. I've lived in Savannah 20-odd years, most of that time in the historic district, a few blocks from here. The law firm that owned it was Bouhan, Williams & Levy (now Bouhan Falligant). They sold the Armstrong house a few years ago (5 or 6?) to a private owner who has been restoring the mansion. I'd love to see what it looks like now!
I'm always amazed at the size of some of these mansions. It's great that organizations realize the importance of such structures and step in to save them.
A beautiful house. Usually, I complain about the overstuffed decor of many of these houses; but this one seems a bit too bare to me. This seems to be because the walls are empty for the most part; it needed some art. Excellent video. I can't remember the tv show it was on, but I watched a show about the restoration of this mansion a few years back.
While it's not my favorite style of house, it's still very awe inspiring. More than that, it is in my favorite city in the U.S. Savannah is beautiful and I wish I called it my home city!!
Another mansion saved. It would be nice to see the restoration photos with the spaces final appearances. To echo others I am so happy it remains a functional building today. ❤😊
I feature it daily on my walking tour! It is no longer a law firm, but has been restored to the palace it was meant to be by Mr. Kessler seven years ago. He rebuilt a wing in the rear that had been destroyed decades ago.
I lived on Hilton Head for over twenty years. I drove past this house a hundred times and always wondered what it looked like inside. I am not to impressed I have to admit. I love your vids!
Nice video! While I like these mansions I'm not sure they could ever really be a home for me as they are too large and unwelcoming. I like my little two bedroom house in the suburbs in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!
The lack of any significant embellishment on the walls is rather striking. The lavish size and use of costly materials only serve to emphasize the seeming emptiness due to the lack of artwork or wallpaper. Even the fireplace mantels and window treatments are stark in their plainness and lack of embellishment.

For being such a massive house, the rooms look very livable, some look downright cozy. I could live there.

This one takes you by surprise when you see it amongst much older homes surrounding it. Beautiful home in a city full of beautiful homes! ❤
So beautiful!
Beautiful home!

Glad this house is still around
I love Savannah!
I grew up 15 miles from Guyton, Ga & 41 miles north of Savannah, GA!
I want this house! But of course, Savannah is full of my dream homes, sigh. Such perfection.

What a nice mansion. Good to know that it's still there.
Absolutely Gorgeous
Thanks, Ken! 😊
Very nice and thoughtful use of a nicely designed home, which I feel was always meant to be more. Thx, Ken!
Living in this area, I really enjoyed watching this❤
Thank you Ken 🙏☺️

I believe this is now a private residence and owned by the guy who helped launch Days Inn hotel chain…. It’s absolutely beautiful in person!
I believe the home was renovated and is a private home again! 0:06

I understand the winters in Winnipeg can get a bit chilly at times.
It looks better than black and white pictures.

Its very nice. I'm kinda surprised it was built in the middle of a World War (WW1) when most people were skimping, to help the war effort.
Sorry Ken, give me 429 Bull Street in Savannah EVERYTIME Old Sport!

You could spend a year in Savannah.
Well…. I’m gonna have to put this video on silent
