I just returned from my first Panama last week. It's a lovely place but I wish they put a little more of that Panama Canal money into garbage collection, recycling, roads/sidewalks and subsidized housing.

That dollar question and concern. True, just like any fiat currency all over the world, it may one day be worth less compared to other currencies. Only gold and silver are money. So, as the guest mentioned, keep most of your wealth on real money or other things of value, like land. Then, convert to any currency, as needed to live.
My dream is for the military and Panama police to work side by side, like back in the days in my little girl times, the streets were cleaner the economy was excellent and military based would be great for Veterans who wants to return to their country 😀 👍. Life will be so much better and much more appreciated for us all!

A question for all: do the recent protests/road blocks in Panama change the very positive views expressed in this vid? How about giving "the environment" legal rights?? Just asking. Those two recent events would suggest substiantal differences from the views in the video.
Though the protests caused disruptions in Panama for several weeks, the results have been positive because the government lowered the price of gas and basic food items.

Panama is one of a handful of countries that allow importation of silver and or gold. At 7% tax/ vat.
There are ways to avoid the tax!
