We just finished our second full week of in person teaching. We have to wear masks all day with breaks given throughout the day. Lots of cleaning and sanitizing happening. In my library we have to quarantine the books for 3 days before checking them in. I have a return bin for each day of the week. Students must sanitize their hands before browsing for books and we are encouraging browsing with our eyes as much as possible. So far it’s working really well and the kids are doing awesome.

I love the way you put your letters up! Using a piece of tape before stapling them down is genius. I’m going to have to do that!
I still have about two years before I graduate Elementary Ed but I'm trying to soak as much in as I can by watching your videos. Everything looks great so far!

Love how your room is coming together. Oh girly I can relate. Michigan has been super hot and my school doesn't have AC either. We had a few PD's along with setting up the classrooms this week. We still have about two weeks before the kiddos start so I do hope it cools off before they start. I know that you will be amazing this year even with all the unknowns.

This is so exciting for me to watch. I’m going to be going to college soon to start paving my way towards my teaching career! I still have lots to learn, but it’s very exciting watching teachers set up their rooms!!

Your classroom looks amazing! Love the "Be a Leader" set up and cannot wait to print out that resource from your TPT! Famous/Influential People is actually our first social studies lesson in 2nd grade so I can't wait to dedicate a wall to them and then when the students come back to the classroom they'll be (hopefully) like "OMG!! I know these people!" lol! Always love watching your Vlogs! Can't wait to see Sunday's! :)

I just started an online program to become an el Ed teacher after subbing last school year and your videos are good motivation to study and get my exams done since it’s a self paced program! The room is looking great!

We started back in person last week and the kids are doing really well with wearing their mask and socially distancing. We know that we have to do this but we can’t wait for when we get to go back to normal

I saw on tiktok this one laminating hack where they stick all the laminating sheets with painter’s tape so the sheets are continuous! I wonder if that works haha
Hey, Kim!! Loving your room!! Two things with the front of the room: Are you really going to use the projector screen in the corner with the projector in front of it, or will you have tech move the projector to in front of the whiteboard? Also, are you still intending on putting the black better than paper wallpaper all around the front of the whiteboard like you did last year? I just loved seeing a black front wall from your old room! Lol 🤣
It was moved! I put in a request but they hadn’t moved it yet in this vlog. 😊 And no, I never planned on putting the Black paper up in this classroom because the wall is white anyways (versus the bright blue in my old classroom). I’ll keep the black paper in case I need it again someday, though! 😊

It’s masking tape but you can use painters tape too!! It’s a great hack!
We had to get rid of group tables and teacher desks...
