Yes because if we know that we like to play guitar (e.g ), but at the same time someone provides us reward for doing so then one might feel that probably they are doing it for the reward (since acc. to Bem we form our attitude about something based on our environment and immediate experiences). Thus, the attitude may gradually become less strong in intensity. Hope it helps?
