Its not the kids' fault (not entirely at least). They grew up in a toxic house, they were abused, they were used to having power and their parents taught them to do whatever they need to do just to be the best kid. Like, they taught them to not show mercy to anyone and that they should step on someone (if needed) just to get to the top or be one of the best. The adults, sure she shouldn't show mercy, but for the kids, she should just try to teach and guide them into the right way then eventually they will be good people and they will repent on their sins. If the kids were taught and raised differently, they will probably never be like that.

You can't fully blame Su Ryeon for the twins. Yes, they did grow up in a toxic environment, and I do understand why they are so mean and cruel, they just want love, but they don't get it, particularly from Dan Tae. However, she did all that she could to manage all members of her family, and that included her sick daughter. It was Dan Tae that manipulated the situation, where he would purposely make Hye In (I think that's her name) "sick" and she would go and take care of her, because she genuinely thought that the twins would be okay with their father. I completely understand Su Ryeon's decisions and what she did. Yes, it did have an effect on the twins, but as a human being, I would do the exact same thing, especially when she has tried really hard with the twins already. It's mainly Dan Tae to BLAME but Su Ryeon had a part to play too, although I don't blame her for it because she couldn't do anything to control it. I would say that it was Dan Tae that created the monsters, not Su Ryeon.

You clearly forgot some important points here. You can see the flashback above, right? it's abviously the twins used to be love Suryeon so much, the vibes was so beautiful and also warm, there's no way suryeon doesn't give them attention too if you look the way the twins act. Second, you know there is one scene where Seokyeong says "you know how much I like you" to Suryeon, it is clearly she is disappointed because they are not Suryeon's biological children, she is clearly disappointed by the fact that they are another priority incluiding them because Suryeon has other biological children . Seokyeon also clearly told Suryeon "Don't act like their real mother" What do you think makes Seokyeon say that besides Suryeon all this time being like a real mother to them, being understanding and taking care of them, even though she is not the real mother of the twins. And lastly you know the scene when Seokheon chose Bae Rona over Seokyeong, and Seokyeong immediately assumed that his brother leave/dump her even though we know how much love and attention Seokheon has been giving her so far. it clearly describes the personality of the twins themselves especially seokyeon. 1000 kindness will immediately disappear with 1 mistake made, that's also the view of the twins to Suryeon. They just want Suryeon to be their own, even Seokyeong's comment to suryeon "I'll stay with mom even after I get married" she's the type who need all attention by herself even she already have the attention, as long as she's not the number 1 priority, it's always not enough for her, that's Seokyeong, that's how she act.

In seok kyung's case, she is especially more angry than other children, but throughout the whole drama, you see that su ryeon is constantly trying to better her children, by making them get punished for what they did wrong, and telling them that they shouldn't do a certain thing. She's doing her role as a mother. Just because her children refuse to listen to her, doesn't mean it's the mother's fault. It's like saying that a murderer's tendencies is the mother's fault, because she didn't teach him right. Life doesn't work that way. Everybody in the comments are talking about how mean the twins are especially Seok kyung. But remember they were raised like that, and their mom would be gone whenever they got abused. So that’s why they feel hurt, unloved, abandoned and lonely especially Seok kyung, her mom has never been there for here, and her dad abuses her, and her brother promised to protect her but ended up protecting Rona and hurting Seok kyung they only cared about her when she was already hurt that’s why she is mad, imagine how lonely Seok kyung may be, she feels so unloved, she feels lonley, she feels abandoned. The dad has Seo Jin, the mom has Logan, the brother has Rona and she has nobody, before any of you guys say she deserves that, she only wanted people to care about her because she feel’s so lonely, she has to fight for her self, she has suffer by her self, no one knows knows she feels, that’s why she ALWAYS says “Do you want me to die?”, “You will only care about when I am dead?” because if she says that, she can see they do care about her and she is loved, and it’s her dads fault she is horrible and she bullies, what she did was unforgivable but she had reasons. Her mom literally cares about Seola, Hye in and Rona (Hye in and Rona aren’t even her daughters) but not Seok kyung she has so much time for the other girls but not her, I get that Rona’s mom died so Suryeon takes care of her but Rona has both Seok goon and Suryeon (the two people Seok kyung loves and the two people who abandoned her for Rona), and if you get mad about the way Seok kyung treat her mother and how she is rude to her when she has no idea what is Suryeon’s life, well Rona was worse Seok kyung had a reason what was Rona’s reason? She only cared about her mom when they moved to the penthouse and she was really ungrateful. Btw Seok kyung cares she cares a lot, but she changed, the only people she cared about was her brother and her mother no one else she had loyalty to those two people but you know what they did to her they left they abandoned her so imagine how that feels being betrayed. (She only cared about those two, so she thought they would feel the same way she did)
She never abandon them ofc she has to take care of her daughter who is in hospital since birth . Did the twins once went to see her ? Did they try to understand her feelings ? Are they 10 yrs old kid who needs their mother 24 hr they are grown up even working mother is not home 24 hrs . She did everything to protect her 3 kids . She loved them equally . Unknowingly, the twins bullied her biological daughter in school & also died (but it's still a puzzle who did the crime). She released all the informations to the media especially the abuse that happened to her daughter. She also sent his ex-husband (twins father) to the jail that's why they're mad at her. Although she really did the right thing.
Try to watch it season 1 is already done but there will be season 2&3 this year as well.

People always think that Penthouse is about good vs evil....from the beginning of this drama it was clear that this story is about desire among women no one is good but everyone is bad....the wicked but pitiful not to mention she failed to be a parent eventhough she love her child it is cheon seo jin....the second villain is the back stabbing person yoon hee not only did she killed min seol A during when she was drunk she is always frantic when it comes to seo jin always yelling and blaming her when if she is a fighter she can always make peace as a second and move on ....what is the problem of being the second it is obvious with seo jin father’s power no one can be number one than seo jin ...she has an insecure problem as well like seo jin obsessed of becoming number 1 because her father push her to be number 1.... not to mention oh yoon he is spoiling her child rona no remorse as well she use ro na as an excuse to do bad things as being a good mom that protects her daughter when in reality she is as bad as seo jin that also think chung A is the future for eun byeol...she always give what ro na wanted never taught her to be greatful....the least villain is the hypocrite su ryeon always think she is the queen and make no fault....she thinks that dan tae is the one who did all this never even reflect that as a step mom she also fail....if you are married to a man widower the children is part of your life but she never think about it she just being kind is enough because they live in the same roof and she can attend hye in her not real daughter....again a lot of the viewers think this drama as personal from the comment....if you watch logically not emotionally there is a lot of clues from the writer about the story that is actually a build up story line for a twist and all the character including min seol A is not a good person how can a good person manipulate like seol A to eun byeol did twice or blackmail when there is an opportunity....if you are a good person if you see your parent is having an affair either you shut your mouth and not mention it to your friend because an affair between parents yes it is not good but if it is was me rather than i share it to my friend i will choose to not get involve and keep my mouht shut but ofc not this drama is about desire so min seol A a 16yrs old kid have to come and see seo jin and share it which actually lead to her death now this kid is definitely not a good kid she does have bad intention if you think logically and not emotionally.... the least villain shim su ryeon also created a not only joo dan tae and cheon seo jin....where was she when seok kyung was abuse by joo dan tae she was busy with her own child ....sorry i do understand how seok kyung and seok hoon felt....su ryeon never loved the twins it is just hypocrite....children only copy their parents either good or bad...so donot blame seok kyung - dan tae hurt the twins su ryeon abondoned the twins ....deep down seok kyung just want her love but you can feel it when the love is not genuine....and it shows the time when su ryeon out of the blue confess about who min seol A was.... i really want to know why was there never a dna test to prove that min seol A was su ryeon daughter like hye in if i were su ryeon i will still check her dna just to prove that this is not some gimmick....after all these past years suddenly share the existence of min seok A and why do min seol A have the idea that being an opera singer will lead to her real mother who ask min seol A to be accepted in Chung A from the beginning....i mean as an orphan tbh opera singing is not for common people so there must be someone who influence min seol A to go and accepted in chung A but who and what is the motive....this is odd and the mystery....why chung A?
You can't fully blame Su Ryeon for the twins. Yes, they did grow up in a toxic environment, and I do understand why they are so mean and cruel, they just want love, but they don't get it, particularly from Dan Tae. However, she did all that she could to manage all members of her family, and that included her sick daughter. It was Dan Tae that manipulated the situation, where he would purposely make Hye In (I think that's her name) "sick" and she would go and take care of her, because she genuinely thought that the twins would be okay with their father. I completely understand Su Ryeon's decisions and what she did. Yes, it did have an effect on the twins, but as a human being, I would do the exact same thing, especially when she has tried really hard with the twins already. It's mainly Dan Tae to BLAME but Su Ryeon had a part to play too, although I don't blame her for it because she couldn't do anything to control it. I would say that it was Dan Tae that created the monsters, not Su Ryeon.

You clearly forgot some important points here.
You can see the flashback above, right? it's abviously the twins used to be love Suryeon so much, the vibes was so beautiful and also warm, there's no way suryeon doesn't give them attention too if you look the way the twins act.
Second, you know there is one scene where Seokyeong says "you know how much I like you" to Suryeon, it is clearly she is disappointed because they are not Suryeon's biological children, she is clearly disappointed by the fact that they are another priority incluiding them because Suryeon has other biological children .
Seokyeon also clearly told Suryeon "Don't act like their real mother" What do you think makes Seokyeon say that besides Suryeon all this time being like a real mother to them, being understanding and taking care of them, even though she is not the real mother of the twins.
And lastly you know the scene when Seokheon chose Bae Rona over Seokyeong, and Seokyeong immediately assumed that his brother leave/dump her even though we know how much love and attention Seokheon has been giving her so far.
it clearly describes the personality of the twins themselves especially seokyeon. 1000 kindness will immediately disappear with 1 mistake made, that's also the view of the twins to Suryeon.
They just want Suryeon to be their own, even Seokyeong's comment to suryeon "I'll stay with mom even after I get married" she's the type who need all attention by herself even she already have the attention, as long as she's not the number 1 priority, it's always not enough for her, that's Seokyeong, that's how she act.

She bullies others because she has been hurt so much. That is true. But it's not su ryeon that made her that way. You can't just say that she didnt do her best, because you never know. I'm pretty sure in one of the scenes,you can see how distraught she is over the fact that the twins won't tell her anything. She tried to be a mother, but she had other priorities too. She had to find out more about her daughter, who was never able to get love from her, her entire life. She mentally broke when she found out that fact. Not broke, in terms of cries all the time, but broke in terms of the guilt that she was feeling. It was eating her up, and she wasn't psychologically in a great place either. But she did all she could go be there for all her children. You can't possibly expect her to just give up her other daughter, or vice versa? She's a mother, whether biological or not. She did everything she could to help raise the twins. I understand where you're coming from, in terms of the psychological impact on the twins, but I don't think that su ryeon should get the heat for it.

Children aren't carbon copies of their parents, they won't just absorb everything that their parents teach them. It's much more complex that that. I'm not sure if you know this but children have the tendency to lash out all the time. In seok kyung's case, she is especially more angry than other children, but throughout the whole drama, you see that su ryeon is constantly trying to better her children, by making them get punished for what they did wrong, and telling them that they shouldn't do a certain thing. She's doing her role as a mother. Just because her children refuse to listen to her, doesn't mean it's the mother's fault. It's like saying that a murderer's tendencies is the mother's fault, because she didn't teach him right. Life doesn't work that way. It's the children's fault, they are responsible for their own actions, but obviously, with seok kyung, she had experienced something vile that made her that way, and I understand that, but the parents aren't the sole determining factor of a child's life,
