    Evidence of how our ancient wisdom is, and will, always be relevant in our lives today... More so than ever. Thank you Mr Devdutt Patnaik for connecting the dots and reminding us, that we are all and nothing at the same time. Enjoy whatever facet of life you are in without getting sucked into the transient nature of things...

    ok so we go from consuming value to generating to distributing but when you let go of this idea of being valuable, I don't understand what does it really mean and look like to be in that place where you outgrow hunger and reach Moksha. What I mean is do you stop generating, consuming or distributing value in society and become an invaluable person in society? like, leave your job/craft maybe even your responsibility as a family member etc? I am not sure how it looks like in real life.
    I am not challenging Mr Decdutt, I just love every word he says and i have learned so much from his teachings because it makes sense. I am just trying to understand what it means to be in Moksha and how does it look when you have that mindset and in practical sense.

      Because Rajiv Malhotra somewhere along the way has lost his "plot". ..misplaced criticism by someone as respected as Rajiv Malhotra has come as a big disappointment. But then again those who are intelligent and open minded enough we can clear see the truth from false and decide for ourselves without getting swayed by others however intellectual they may be.

    • @AKASHYADAV-fb7po
      @AKASHYADAV-fb7po 5 лет назад

      In that case, how can one differentiate between what's right and what's not, who is a propagandist and who is lost? I admire him and believe in him not just because he is a public figure or he is a great intellectual, but also for him to be open to be challenged, open to debate and willingness to admit his ignorance if proved wrong, which I certainly don't see for devdutt pattanaik. If he is so proud of his interpretations, he should respond positively to any challenge placed. What's holding him back?

    • @ambujagrawal100
      @ambujagrawal100 5 лет назад +1

      @@drbhaktidevi i actually love Rajiv ji as well and I watched his recent Banter with Imam Tawhidi in India and Imam as well as Rajiv ji like always made some pretty solid points.
      @huministic
      I don't know if Devdutt Patnaik has been challenged to any debate , or if he has refused any invitation for the same .
      Hinduism/Sanatana Dharma is a vast experience of religion with infinite ways to relating to The Supreme Being. There is no 'One Book' which says it all, no 'One form of God' , which is supposed to be The Best of all. Infact , you can have no book, no God and still be a Hindu .
      You don't need to know Sanskrit to relate to The hindu concept of God .
      What I see Devdutt Patnaik doing is that He has read some books, he has studied folk aspects of the deities mentioned in those books and then he tries to say that All those books, all those scriptures, written before you are for you to read and seek within yourself. I.e. You are the god you want to be, you just need to search for it within yourself.
      As far as Differentiation of Good or Bad Is concerned -
      Well, shouldn't we , as individuals , put the onus of determining that on ourselves instead of Depending on the Interpretations of Devdutt Patnaik or Rajiv Malhotra? I mean I do the same when i read any piece of a scripture.
      The concept of Depending on Someone for the correct Interpretation is what Made Islam what it is today. It has become a menace. People Don't wanna talk about it, but When they meet a muslim, a question which inadvertently pops in their minds is well he must be a real orthodox , which is generally speaking true, with very very few exceptions.
      He is a public figure, he speaks to audiences Native and Foreign and he has to sell his point of view. For that he needs to relate to the audience. He does that by his brand of style. By making his audiences believe that they are the God themselves. That way it's easier for him to be accepted and people who are not familiar witH our mythology, sort of Feel a connection with it.
      Besides he has already said in his videos so many times that he is a professional, he makes money and by selling his Opinions.
      You have to decide what you want to extract from his speeches , you have to differentiate what's good and what's bad.
      Because certainly he makes some points which are good.
