My husband is a military veteran and started his handyman business in January. We have been very lucky but have definitely learned a lot and your videos are SO HELPFUL! Thank you for spreading this information!
Hey man. How ya doin' ? The main thing I strive to do every day is to do every single task a little bit better, faster, or smarter than I did yesterday. Right now I am concentrating on tool and parts placement/retrieval during a field job. It's very important if you are tired of hunting for tools or parts during a job. I used to get to a job, work like a maniac putting utilized tools or removed parts where ever, and then hunting for them later. Sometimes they would disappear into thin air. Very frustrating. - Now I carry two buckets. One for tools one for parts (later used for trash). Nothing ever gets lost and tools are easy to put back properly on the Service Truck. Old broken parts/trash can be easily thrown away. I used to think, "I don't have room to carry 2 empty buckets." but now i stack 'em and have a place; and it pays off. - Yesterday, a job that used to take two hours, only took one hour, strictly because of this system, along with carrying a new Cordless 3" cutoff wheel Dremel. Faster. Better.Smarter. It's doubling my incoming cash flow every day, in every way. -
Hey Allan thank you for your videos ,learning a lot from them .I am going to start handyman business but after some research found a lot of handy man offer construction and home remodeling service service ,Have a question ,how to feel that line between handyman and general contractor?
Honest lee handyman thank you for the videos all the helpful info you share and helpful tips that you share. I looked into what you shared in this video and I'll be getting with Jason to set up a web page and I'm going with homeadvisor for my area. I lost my way for a while, life got to me for a bit but seeing your enthusiasm and drive and you want to grow and help other's has sparked me to get back to what and why I got into the handyman/construction field. GOD BLESS you and your family hope your daughter is doing well.
Thanks for the video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you ever tried - Chiveard Racing World Framework (just google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for learning how to start a successful handyman business minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got excellent results with it.
I’m using TenantCloud and it’s been great for finding leads. They are working with landlords who are giving you jobs in their rentals. It’s super easy to use and costs only $45/mo for unlimited leads.
Spend money to make money....but the best advertisement is taking pride in your work and doing everything %100. (From being being on time to doing the job perfectly). Aka happy customers........

Hello Dani i have a question can you recommen a good insurance for handyman. I'm just starting and what's the top amount $ when doing a job as a handyman I'm confused in that part
Excellent Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you tried - Chiveard Racing World Framework (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a good one off product for learning how to start a successful handyman business minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend at last got astronomical results with it.
Thanks for the video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Rozardner Successful Handyman Reality (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one off guide for how to start a handyman business minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate finally got amazing success with it.
I just have a question for you. Do you have a general contractors license or any other licenses? I'm in Arizona and I've been in construction for 25 years and I'm thinking about getting my own license to make some extra cash on the side next year. We have handyman license has which allow up to $700 repairs but that's not a lot of money considering the rural area I live in and how much traveling in time it would take any thoughts on that?
I’m sorry Lee but I’m checking out...I’m just not looking for videos on “theories” , mainly interested in the actual work videos! Good luck to you and your family.
Thanks man! Sorry to see you go! We will miss ya. I have been traveling for family medical issues so have not been able to make work videos but will be getting back to them once I return.
Honest Lee Handyman , I’m sorry to hear that, but you are obviously doing the right thing and being there for your family. Sending prayers and healing thoughts for your family member.

No! The most important place for you to be is Google and you start with a Google My Business listing. Yelp is a terrible place to advertise. The return on investment is low. I’m really glad this worked for you but if anyone needs a walkthrough on how to get found online please contact me and I will walk you through it for FREE. This is what I do for a living! Not hating on you for telling people what has worked for you but dude, if I made a video about how I do handyman type repairs around my house you would facepalm just as hard. Lol
Hey Allen, I know you and handyman web design are friends and might be business partners, but honestly is the premium website they offer really worth it to launch my handyman service? Thanks Allen, God bless you and your family for your generosity and will to help
I’m already doing some of that stuff I plan on advertising in November. I’m afraid of actually getting business I think. I’ve done a business computer networking service company before but not at a mass appeal scale to residential customers. You didn’t talk about answering the phone. Sometimes I think not answering is about making people try harder so you know they are serious. Maybe a dumb idea. Everyone seems to text these days. I bet your wife does the phone huh? What about when you are just one guy and in the middle of a job? Did you find any ingenious ways of handling it smoothly? Where do I get a spiffy uniform with patches like you? I see mechanics where them and some service companies like air conditioners. I want a green shirt with white patches.
Yelp is a joke. Don't do it. Also not everyone has the money for a nice new shiny truck. Glad u have that kind of money. Even my high end customers like my old rusty truck better than companies that have new junk. Cause they know my work. They don't care what I drive.
Thats great if you have existing clients. However if I see a shitty old beater driving around, I assume he is cheap and low quality, and doesn’t get enough business to but a new one. The appearance is that you’re not good enough to hire because apparently no one else is hiring you either. #socialproof

Answer this one please

What can you suggest
Start with what you have experience in would be my recommendation and then be honest about what you can and can not do

Why not just advertise on Google ads? It skips the secondary site and gives a direct link to your website.
How would like to hear a response on using Google ads too. Has anyone have a comment on this?

I would love to talk, book a call with me at handymanjourney.com/coaching
how do i get handyman liccen
I have to say in Atlanta, Yelp is the place people go to bitch. 99% of reviews about ANYTHING are people complaining. Doesn't work here
Dang my truck looks rough
When do you think you might have a bay area meet up?
Probably not till winter at least maybe next spring

When you do I definitely going to be there.
How do you demonstrate you are of good moral character? I sometimes think handymen may be ex-cons who can’t get s as job.
By being professional, have a clean uniform, not smoking, not cussing ect
The way you carry yourself speaks volumes!…
This proves you need money to make money.
Yes! I would agree!
