Sarah, you are not only a beautiful woman you are also so talented. I want to say a big thank you for all your videos and sharing with us...I learned a lot from you and your videos. Thank you for being part of my sewing life journey!
Like having a friend in your home to show you how to make bullion roses on smocking. Thanks, I found your video helpful. Now it's just a matter of practice, practice.
Thank you so much for all your tutorials. It's the details that make such a difference. I'd never thought to untwist the threads and certainly not to check how smooth they lay on the needle! I can't wait to see how much neater my work is going to be. Do you untwist the threads in all your embroidery or just certain stitches?
makes such a huge difference! yes, with bullions, cast-on roses, smocking with multiple strands, satin stitch.. I think those are all the situations :-)
Love the bullion roses! May I make a suggestion? Please show the fabric/roses as you are giving directions. You continue sewing as you are talking focusing on your face and we can't tell what you are doing. Also, how many wraps are you using? I may have missed that. Thanks so much and keep up the good work.
yeah... easier said than done (at least for me). i'm also learning as I go with how to capture footage, and don't really have much opportunity to refilm with very little children to care for. I find it really difficult to film around a camera, and i'm working on improving my setup. also, the wraps depend on how long you are making your bullion... I went over that in the video :-) thanks!
it all depends on how big of a bullion you'd like. personally, I wouldn't go more than 3 strands, but again, there's no rules. But... if you are using multiples, I would strongly suggest separating them into individuals, running your finger/thumb over each strand individually to take out the tension, and then bringing them back together. this will allow them to lay nicely together and make a much more attractive bullion. hope that helps :-)
I know u r going to laugh at me but I really need to know exactly how u tie it off. I have watched every video I can find on pleating and not one explains the knot. I’m apparently the only one out here who can’t tie a knot! They always slip or pull through the hole. I need a tutorial on knot tying! U seem to tie something together and then slip it down the thread. Please help me. I’m at my wits end. Tu. Margaret
I mean, you can technically pleat with a poly cotton thread or whatever you wish, but a mercerdized cotton thread is the way to go 👌 the coating on the thread makes it strong and resistant to fraying. And this thread is often marketed as hand quilting thread, fyi 😘
As always - wonderful info and I love the fact that I can go back and check this out again. Thank you for sharing! You really are sooo talented :)

Hahaa thank youuu! Love all your sweetness 🥰
Who put the thumbs down shame on you, this is a very helpful tutorial thank you Sarah ❤
lol thanks Clara, I think everyone has trolls. The funny thing is that a few thumbs down actually helps promote the video, so jokes on them ;-)

Sarah amo seu trabalho...vc é uma princesa....mais de fada💋
How much fabric do I need for 2 years baby girl frock for front smoking? Please reply
I’m using DMC floss. It has 6 strands. Do I separate the 6 strands or just use the one piece in tact? Thank you

I do them in groups of two or three threads

Nice 👍
What type of thread do u use in your pleater? Poly, cotton, rayon, or does it really matter?
