What a perfect cross-over!
"Who, if they were standing behind you, would be nodding in agreement with you when you're being mean to yourself?"
WOW. If my therapist had asked me this years ago, I feel like I would not have been in therapy for as long as I have been.
I recently watched Dr. Mick's DBH playthrough and was absolutely taken by his psychological insights. This discussion did not disappoint, I enjoyed it so much! What an awesome combo of Amelia, Bryan, and Dr. Mick.

@@skogkatt3392 No problem! ❤
Omg. Omg. Dr. Mick is why I discovered and absolutely fell in love with D:BH and him playing and analyzing that game is what really inspired me to go back to college to get my degree and study clinical and IO psychology!
These three folks have inspired me so much in different ways at different times in my life so this is an absolute dream collab to me!
That's amazing!!!
amazing comment; good luck in school!
I know you guy’s probably won’t see this, and if you do, you’ve probably heard all the possible compliments by now, but I just want to let you know you guys are just really cool, kind, and guenuine people who I’m happy found each other and share your positivity and fun with us. I wish I could say something that stands out; maybe a pleasant compliment you haven’t heard yet, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter. Just know you guys really are awesome and probably give the best group hugs in real life. Take care of yourselves, love ya
i love dr mick!! so cool to see you collab omgg !!
Loved this collab, hope we get a round 2 at some point!
I came across the stream purely by accident. I unfollowed your Twitch channel but saw you streaming and hopped on. The thing that really got to me was the "who would stand behind you" narrative which gave me Goosebumps 😮 The streams and playthroughs became my biggest mental health resource so thank you for having him on 😊
Dr mick is an absolute treasure of a therapy professional. Having such an open mind as well as understanding how video games are an amazing art medium
This was such an informative, wholesome stream with engaging questions and funny comments from the Decharts and insightful answers and explanations from Dr. Mick. It really gave me warm fuzzies to see Dr. Mick make such a positive impression on people in chat. I’ve already seen a few people from DechartGames pop into Dr. Mick’s channel to ask some questions, to which he’s given some valuable advice. I'm also very relieved to know that him talking about mental health issues both during his work hours and free time doesn’t burn him out since he genuinely enjoys it.
I loved his DBH playthrough, particularly where he analyzes Hank’s character arc (how Hank handles his cognitive dissonance regarding androids and the way he shifts his opinions and behaviors towards androids as he develops his relationship with Connor). He really gives you a newfound appreciation of just how much thought must have gone into every game’s story and character development.
I only learned about Dr. Mick a month ago and his expertise on mental health topics has already made an impact on my way of thinking, either by validating my feelings or changing the way I view things. Every video of his that I watch, I learn something new. Even for the concepts that I’ve heard him talk about before, they’re still reassuring to hear many times and they actually feel somewhat new each time because they are presented in different scenarios, which helps to reinforce my understanding of them and notice them more in my own life.
If anyone was interested, he’s got a playlist of lecture videos on youtube (each 1 to 2 hrs long) that are modeled after the college classes he used to teach. They focus on topics like OCD (I know someone in chat was asking about that), panic attacks, boundary-setting (I think EVERYONE could benefit from this one), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), how to find a therapist, etc. His content is extremely helpful, comforting, and comes from a place of deep compassion. Seeing you three interact was really something special, and I’m looking forward to any future collabs!
Couldn't have said it better myself, you explained PERFECTLY why I love Dr.Mick and his content. It was especially apparent in his playthroughs of RDR2 and GTA5 that he was truly helping me analyze interactions within relationships in a different way, and shed light on so many topics that I had never heard before while explaining them in really transformative ways. And I'm so shocked and happy to see that Bryan and Amelia know Dr.Mick too! This collab was amazing and hopefully it's not the last :)
loved this collab! ❤️
