Ways in which I can be more efficient (joke, I'm already always maximimally efficient. Always). 8. Bringing a tarp, two shovels and no questions. 9. Repeating 8 as often as necessary, which it will be. This one will net you a lot of credit, I shall dub thee "Renfield". 10. Tips on colour coordinating the coffin I sleep in with my clothing. (I'm joking obviously. Black goes with everything, especially more black).
An ENFP managed to keep me entertained by telling me about people's secret plans for their lives and asking many many questions about technological things, life in general, best career paths for different types of people, how to cool properly in a hot summer, how to kill the planet, how to save the planet, etc. which I happily all answered while she really tried hardest to understand and dig deep into these topics with me.
Accurate. I married an INTJ. He certainly loves his food (although manages to stay fit), deep dives conspiracy theories with me, loves my hairbrained ideas and even finds ways to implement them... and blessedly, thankfully recognizes when I need my own down time for introspection and gives me space to do my own thing while he does his. Then, when I'm ready for socializing again, he has had enough alone time that he can socialize with me. It's a wonderful match. Although, because it works so well for us, we sometimes rely too much on only each other's company for our social needs... then after several months, we realize that we are both missing time with friends. So, that can be a problem. Anyway... he's my favorite. INTJs are amazing. 💃 -ENFP

INTP and yeah, they're oddly the type I seem to get along fastest with, because they like me and I like them, despite often being so very different in terms of how we see the world, our values, thoughts, beliefs, etc.

"For some reason they feel the need to do research into topics that I can speak about anyway" - great one-liner that sums up us ENFPs. I'd rework the tier list a bit. ISFJ and ESFJ are the types I find hardest to get on with - I can't see any world where that's a top vibe. Other ENFPs, ENTPs, INFJs and to a slightly lesser extent, INTPs, are amazing matches. ESTJs and ISTJs, I generally get on very well with, we share all the same functions, although we often have some markedly different values. ISFP and INFP both tend to be a bit too whingy for me, although we definitely still get on. ESFP, and ESTP, I can have a lot of fun doing things together, but at the end of the day, we don't really have much in common. I've never (knowingly) met an INTJ or ENFJ, ENTJs I've only met at work and we get on decently well, ISTPs are an enigma to me!

All of my closest friends are introverts. INTJ husband (apparently, I learned how to bribe him 😅), two INTP besties(including my husband's sister... I adore her), ISTP who is a close friend, and a niece and nephew who I am extremely close with. My niece is a budding INTP or INFP... we have been debating that one. My nephew is most certainly shaping up to be an INTJ. He is so similar to my husband in mannerisms, style and way of thinking that my sister in law is always shaking her head and jokingly asking my husband, "How in the world did I end up raising YOUR child. I thought I escaped you when you went off to college. Now, I'm raising one of you!" (She truly adores my husband, though. They have always been the closest amongst their siblings). I have one other friend I'm close with, but not as close as those above. She's an ESTJ... and she's terrified she will be too hard on me. Yet, I love how bossy she is. My inner Te adores how organized and great she is with administration. I wanna be like her when I grow up... even if that never happens. 😂 Anyway, I have adopted mostly introverts. I feel most at home with them. Except when I'm too much for them and they want to withdraw for recharge time. Then, I feel sad. Also, when I need a quieter and low key hangout for some introspection, because I just don't want to be alone while facing what is bothering me... introverts are the perfect choice. They will simply sit and be there while I sit and ponder. When it comes to other extroverts, I'm often overlooked and overwhelmed by their sheer volume and intensity. I struggle to even be heard by them... and certainly struggle to be understood by many of them. So, I can at least understand what the introverts go through when I'm around them and become too much. *sighs and begins an existential crisis over not truly fitting in with extroverts or introverts and feeling like this weird amalgamation in between.* It's hard being ENFP... I can't relate to this specific ENFP nor their ranking choices. But if I were to make my own tier list I would use the very same categories and the same amount of hats.
No way no way INTJs are absolutely top tier to me as an ENFP. They bring a goofy, serious, deep, and surprisingly emotionally wise vibe that i just adore. I also don't really care for a super high Fe, to be honest. I find that they dont engage easily in casually confrontational banter and debate and that makes them kind of annoying. I dont know if it is because I highly value Te or something, but I really prefer NT types.
Ooh, this!!! My husband is INTJ. My two besties are INTP. I also have an ENTP friend and I love her wit! We aren't as close because she is several years older than me and in a different stage of life, but I like her. My other favorite types are my ESTJ friend and my ISTP friend. The high Fe users also annoy the daylights out of me. Like, my head is in the clouds as I surf the metaverse, sure. However, there is something that seems so disengenuine about the ENFJ in my life. I could be mid catastrophe, with the terrible thing unfolding in real time and her response would be, "Oh, but isn't it wonderful that you get to have a new start and you are okay and look at it this way..." "Umm... Ma'am, give me like a nanosecond (more like a week or so, but she doesn't even give me a nanosecond) to fully process this and be angry, sad, hurt, disillusioned and all the things before you shove what you think my response SHOULD be down my throat. Thanks for the empathy. Thanks for the understanding. Instead I'm being told why my feelings are invalid and wrong... because they are upsetting your Fe harmonious, everyone happy apple cart." Drives me nuts and feels SO fake, because I've seen her absolutely lose it when she experiences equally distressing moments. She is quick to catch herself and apologize (like I am), but I don't expect others to have toxic positivity. I expect they will grieve and struggle, and I support them doing so. It is way healthier than pretending the problem doesn't exist and that you have no negative feelings about it. I want the same respect... let me feel what I feel and tell me it's okay to do so. So yeah, I agree with you all the way. My besties and husband let me be, "not okay right now," and they simply lend their ear and let me talk. They also encourage me and challenge me in ways that don't feel so fake.

My sister is an ENFP and this tracks with her, my vibe with her, and our ISFP brother's vibe with her 😂 they are closer in age, he does struggle with her information processing sometimes. My husband is an ENTJ and while we were dating he went on about how crypto was such a great investment and how he made thousands from it. So I jumped on the bandwagon and bought $500 worth of various currencies. 2 years later and I’m still waiting for the market to go back up and he keeps telling me, “just wait, it’ll go back up, this year for sure!” 😅
I am an INFP and my best friend is ENFP! Even tough I don’t consider “best friend” is one friend only, but nowadays I just realized I should call her “best friend” because we’ve been together since middle school. So, it’s about 9 years. And the silent treatment is spot on :”). Of course, It’s not something that be proud of. It’s just I have communication issue and because of this, a 6 years ago we never talked to each other. But somehow(?) we made it(?) Really really agree with instant vibe! I don’t know how to explain it, but once I talk to her, something connecting and understand each other. Maybe we have many things in common. We talked about music, dream, novel, everything. And of course, she is the one who love to talking and I listen her silently. I ever shocked because first time we being seatmate back in middle school, Iike the first day, she is casually talking about her mom’s backstory and history of their grandparents. And I still remember it well. I admire her. She is my inspiration to be a “person”. She is pretty straightforward and can stand herself (speaking whats in her mind), good at social interaction with everybody (girls, boys, teachers), which I don’t have. So, I learning a lot from her. Oh, she is good at writing and her writing is so neat like type keyboard (and I still remember why so neat) and I am good at drawing. So, back then we have an idea to make a fantasy comic book using my sketchbook, she is the word part and me the picture part. We discussed the characters, plot, everything BUT slowly forgotten because we both are procrastinator :”D Anyway, being best friend of her is my another sincerity. I am hoping our 10 years of bestie to be normal-good life with good situation and good people because we adult now and being adult is suck. Not just 10 years, but 11, 12, 13, and goes on goes on~

Vodka & Gin add a tiny kick, but it’s not the same. If you really want a big bump of caffeinated coffee ENFP 🤣energy, try Thai tea or coffee. Or Turkish coffee. The only caffeine I drink is green tea. Matcha’s levels of L theanine actually calm down the central nervous system while keeping you awake. Added bonus it’s loaded with anti oxidants & is a great anti inflammatory. Is it me, or do you feel many INFPs are into nutrition? I don’t mean dieting. And we don’t push our regimen into others.
Hilarious! INFP here who adores ENFPs. This is the Perfect Video to make a decision as to whether you’re an Infp or Enfp. I’m assuming the reason “we” ghosted our “bestie” is bc she has authentic challenges maintaining ALL her boundaries. Not in a malicious way, but in a storm of her central nervous system thundering bolts of lightning, unintentionally electrocuting us, or anyone else in her path. She is a force. First things first, BEST WISHES FOR THE BABY!!! Second, that was so creative, I love this side in ENFPs. Being an ISFJ with oddly high Ne I need to agree. Instant Vibe. Big time. However...having many ENFPs as my closest people has taught me very well a struggle from my side. ENFPs are like air. Never static. They are the people that can go from clingy to ghosting and back to loving as if not a day passed. My personal need for stability can't cope with that well, but I have figured by now it's not personal, it's just how they vibe. And I've seen this pattern in all the ENFPs I've known, so, in my experience, this is a common thing for them.
As soon as ENFP admitted to procrastinating, and arguing with her dog about Marvel, I knew that I vibe highly with ENFP, despite being an INFJ. Some of my besties are high NE Users, like ENFPs, INFPS and INTPs.

I heard MARBLE franchise, and went on such a wool gathering expedition about whether it was like the white countertops type marble or the small round toys, and whether there's a company that only makes glass marbles, would that be lucrative to the point of having a franchise? I'm 1:20 in and already this is destroying me internally. Yes, I do things like cleaning my room at the exact time when I should be doing something more urgently pressing (and then have to panic finish my other projects. The fact that I somehow still do well on whatever it is I panic-mode finished ( I once had to do 5 different papers I hadn't properly studied for in one day and somehow managed to get a good grade on all of them) doesn't help my tendency to do this but does leave me with stress and a reputation. Thanks brain.) The cookie thing *could be slightly* inaccurate as I don't like having to read instructions but I'm also often too lazy to do the typical combine-random-scattered-recipe-quantities-to-see-what-I-get. I have also been known to somehow err when making instant mashed potatoes of all things... *BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THE HAT (or any other thing that will stay on head) THING???* I've genuinely done this several times to fix my problems. Need to focus? Braid hair with pipe cleaners and use a clothes pin as a hairpin. Depressed/stressed/upset? Use a turkey mask as a beanie. Crying? place a stuffed animal on head until the absurdity of the situation causes the tears to turn to laughter. Need inspiration? put a cardboard box over head and run around the house.
Quick note: INTJ's and ENTJ's to me must be forced out of their shells. I know for certain that INTJ's are really just wonderful teddy bears of delightfullness with just a touch of chaotic evil once you can get into their fortress. They do have a tendency to enjoy randomly terrifying one at the most unexpected times but they are actually amazing at the end of the day. But it is unsettling when they suddenly decide to be random... I have yet to know how ENTJ's truly are but I've seen some delightful little indicators of humanity and humour in them which gives me hope. SOMEDAY I WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR INNER WORKING ENTJ'S! I will befriend at least on of you if it's the last thing I do... I just wanted to mention this because those two types are the ones who pique my interest the most and so therefore are the ones I cared to share a little bit of how I think of them.

I'm an ENFP married to an INTJ. Yes, the chaos sometimes gets to him... but most of the time he is simply amused by it. The reason it works so well for us is that I can be serious and often need alone time (which gives him built in alone time), and my Ne feeds ideas to his Ni... then he extrapolates the outworking and inevitable outcome of each idea and chooses the one that will yield the best results. We run a business together and it took some time to learn how to work as a team, but once we did, we became a problem solving machine. He will come to me with a problem and ask if we should do A or B. I'll say, "Why not C, D, or F?" Possibilities he didn't even think about... usually a combination of A and B with some random extra spin thrown in... and he will say, "That's brilliant. That. Let's do that." Then, he helps me carry out the plan by giving me the details in small doses. I get overwhelmed by all the details at one time, just like he is overwhelmed when I give all the possibilities in rapid succession. This style works super well for us and we have had a lot of success at problem solving this way. On another note, I see the heart he has for his loved ones. Others think he's all brain and no heart, but I can see right into him and I know it is there in his intentional and careful choices meant to take care of those he loves. I understand him in a way almost nobody else has and it didn't take me long to do so. I didn't need to learn... I just get him. I know his level of protectiveness is off the scales, yet I appreciate it. He watches out for me. It's one more way he demonstrates his love for me. It only occasionally drives me nutty... when he isn't keen on me traveling on a girls trip, because he can't be there to keep me safe. He's working on that one, though. He also simply gets me. He understands my motives in a way almost nobody else has. He sees how deeply I feel for those I love and care about. He knows how fiercely I defend them when someone else is being awful to them. And on a lighter note... he is so fun to have verbal sparring matches with. And to contemplate alternate realities with. He loves doing those things with me. Finally, neither of us trust the large institutions... they are so corrupt. So, we match on our "conspiracy theories". 😂 Yes, we ENFPs bring plenty of chaos and we thrive on spontaneity, but we also bring sunshine, fun and shared adventure. (He has traveled to more places and tried more excursions since marrying me than he had in his entire 30 years before marrying me. We've only been married 12 years. He very much enjoys our adventuring and so do I. Our fondest memories are of our adventures. Standing on mountain tops with breathtaking views, ziplining over alligator tanks, playing with baby penguins, swimming with dolphins, riding side by sides up a mountain, kayaking, traveling, body boarding, walking on the bottom of an aquarium with dive helmets, holding baby alligators, etc.) Anyway, we are similar enough and have shared values and interests to get along super well. Yet, we are different enough to keep it interesting for both of us. 😊

Somehow… really accurate. I have a friend who is an ENFP and we really can talk about lots of different things. And then we don’t talk during at least three months. Although I have an ISTP friend (yeah, I have two friends, that’s a lot, I know) whose communication with ENFP was just like you described. Yep, surprisingly accurate.
It's accurate, though! I don't have to research that dumb thing my husband is insisting I research... I end up being correct most of the time, anyway (and I mean that sincerely, not arrogantly... 9 times out of 10, the answer ends up being what I said). However, my interests in so many varied topics finds me willfully researching things just to learn enough to satisfy my curiosity. It has to be what I want to research, though... otherwise it feels soul killing. 😂
ENFP’s upside down type, ISTJ: 1. Friends? I tried. (It stayed professional.) 2. They make me want to run and hide. 3. If I said I’d converse with them, I lied. 4. The state of their bathroom has got me tongue-tied. (It’s disgusting.) 5. I wouldn’t care if they died.
INFJ here, I have an ISTJ best friend, and an ENFP joined our gaming group; they see the same pieces on the board, so to speak, but their conclusions are vastly different, and they would often irritate one another and both complain to me about the other one. Each saw the other's trickster function as a glaring omission and personality flaw. They're in the duelist position (like me and ESTP) so they would often "flex", on one another, ENFP with their creative Spontaneity, and ISTJ, with their thorough Planning. I liked them both, and could see how similar but with different priorities they were. They would often wait in silence for me to get back from the bathroom so it was always interesting when we'd go out to places, and I'd often have to cognitively shift into my ESTP Id in order to "Lead" our outings, and arbitrate between them (which the ISTJ quite liked) as I was almost always the tie-breaking vote. I rather enjoy both (two of my favourite types), but you're quite correct, they don't naturally get along, but rather compete and see the flaws in one another as rank, and would question how I "put up with them". If you don't vibe with ENFPs that's fine. Your assessment looks a bit too dismissive to me though; it doesn't do them justice. ENFPs can be scatter-brained due them constantly being distracted by all sorts of impressions. This leads them to forget about the most basic things sometimes and to a clueless observer they might appear sloppy. They aren't, however. Their sense of beauty, symmetry and - in unison with that - order is actually unmatched. And when they observe their environment, nothing escapes their attention. I'm also an INFJ, and while I also prefer a neat and a clean environment with not too much going on in it, I'm often just too absent-minded and exhausted to live up to my own preferences. So I might be the one leaving my clothes on the floor or groceries in the bag or who just randomly piles up various things that are in my way. And there comes my ENFP who picks up those things and arranges them in a certain pattern or who goes "When you cleaned the bathroom, you missed a spot. It was already there last week." It's actually quite stressful sometimes. 😅 You might be surprised how similar an ENFP can be to an ISTJ. 🙃 That's my impression at least.

I have often witnessed is that INTJ’s seem to be instantly attracted to ENFP, but soon after they tend to find them annoying and flakey. There are very few types that INTJ likes.
I feel like that's the exact opposite for INFJs with ENTPs. At first you despise them and think you've finally find someone who is purely evil and impossible to love and that challenges you. Then you spend time with them to figure them out and you realize they're just misunderstood candid trouble makers who make offensive jokes to make people laugh, entertain themselves and try to create a bond and they don't mean what they say. Then you don't want to live without them anymore because they light up your day like a sarcastic sunshine. They're like a baby demon who actually doesn't mean harm but has great chaotic potential.
Are you just drawn to the chaos? We like solving problems, so that's the only logical way I can see this happening. ENFPs do have the patience to peel away the shells of INTJs, but where the structure of this relationship stands without it just being the INTJ putting up the safety bumpers for the ENFP's infinitely bounce ball seems one sided. ... I don't understand...
but you see, it's the deep understanding that CREATES the vibe. (bascially, as an ENFP, i do crave deep understanding of literally everything.) but, accurate regardless. i eat vibes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and as a midnight snack.

I'm an ENFP and my husband is an INTP. We have a lot of beliefs in common, but we differ at the point of feelings and thinking. I don't care about the logical answer if people are getting hurt. My sister is an INFP and we are totally besties! My mother was an ISFP and she kind of scared me a bit when I was little. My sis-in-laws are ISTP and ESFP, I love them both and we're all good friends. My mother-in-law is an ENTJ, though. I feel like we always have some kind of competition going. We each think we're smarter than the other. We still love each other anyway.

As a INTP-mistyped ENTP (with some ambiguity around the T) I find I vibe fairly well with ENFPs (especially the streak of ADHD that's apparent here), except as a techie, being around people who end up in situations like 8:08 , 9:06 , 10:08 is stressful, because they're malware magnets and techies spend too much time are work dealing with the consequences.
Though such MBT videos show caricatures, they do, like all caricatures, resemble some real stuff 😂😢 Enfp here, and I laughed and cringed simultaneously because I felt quite accurately represented. An ENFP managed to keep me entertained by telling me about people's secret plans for their lives and asking many many questions about technological things, life in general, best career paths for different types of people, how to cool properly in a hot summer, how to kill the planet, how to save the planet, etc. which I happily all answered while she really tried hardest to understand and dig deep into these topics with me.

Accurate. I married an INTJ. He certainly loves his food (although manages to stay fit), deep dives conspiracy theories with me, loves my hairbrained ideas and even finds ways to implement them... and blessedly, thankfully recognizes when I need my own down time for introspection and gives me space to do my own thing while he does his. Then, when I'm ready for socializing again, he has had enough alone time that he can socialize with me. It's a wonderful match.
Although, because it works so well for us, we sometimes rely too much on only each other's company for our social needs... then after several months, we realize that we are both missing time with friends. So, that can be a problem.
Anyway... he's my favorite. INTJs are amazing. 💃

I'd rework the tier list a bit. ISFJ and ESFJ are the types I find hardest to get on with - I can't see any world where that's a top vibe. Other ENFPs, ENTPs, INFJs and to a slightly lesser extent, INTPs, are amazing matches. ESTJs and ISTJs, I generally get on very well with, we share all the same functions, although we often have some markedly different values. ISFP and INFP both tend to be a bit too whingy for me, although we definitely still get on. ESFP, and ESTP, I can have a lot of fun doing things together, but at the end of the day, we don't really have much in common. I've never (knowingly) met an INTJ or ENFJ, ENTJs I've only met at work and we get on decently well, ISTPs are an enigma to me!

So that's what's going on at the other end when an Enfp adopts an introvert! I've always wondered... 😉
All of my closest friends are introverts. INTJ husband (apparently, I learned how to bribe him 😅), two INTP besties(including my husband's sister... I adore her), ISTP who is a close friend, and a niece and nephew who I am extremely close with. My niece is a budding INTP or INFP... we have been debating that one. My nephew is most certainly shaping up to be an INTJ. He is so similar to my husband in mannerisms, style and way of thinking that my sister in law is always shaking her head and jokingly asking my husband, "How in the world did I end up raising YOUR child. I thought I escaped you when you went off to college. Now, I'm raising one of you!" (She truly adores my husband, though. They have always been the closest amongst their siblings).
I have one other friend I'm close with, but not as close as those above. She's an ESTJ... and she's terrified she will be too hard on me. Yet, I love how bossy she is. My inner Te adores how organized and great she is with administration. I wanna be like her when I grow up... even if that never happens. 😂
Anyway, I have adopted mostly introverts. I feel most at home with them. Except when I'm too much for them and they want to withdraw for recharge time. Then, I feel sad. Also, when I need a quieter and low key hangout for some introspection, because I just don't want to be alone while facing what is bothering me... introverts are the perfect choice. They will simply sit and be there while I sit and ponder.
When it comes to other extroverts, I'm often overlooked and overwhelmed by their sheer volume and intensity. I struggle to even be heard by them... and certainly struggle to be understood by many of them. So, I can at least understand what the introverts go through when I'm around them and become too much.

No way no way INTJs are absolutely top tier to me as an ENFP. They bring a goofy, serious, deep, and surprisingly emotionally wise vibe that i just adore.
I also don't really care for a super high Fe, to be honest. I find that they dont engage easily in casually confrontational banter and debate and that makes them kind of annoying.

Ooh, this!!! My husband is INTJ. My two besties are INTP. I also have an ENTP friend and I love her wit! We aren't as close because she is several years older than me and in a different stage of life, but I like her.
My other favorite types are my ESTJ friend and my ISTP friend.
The high Fe users also annoy the daylights out of me. Like, my head is in the clouds as I surf the metaverse, sure. However, there is something that seems so disengenuine about the ENFJ in my life. I could be mid catastrophe, with the terrible thing unfolding in real time and her response would be, "Oh, but isn't it wonderful that you get to have a new start and you are okay and look at it this way..."

I expect they will grieve and struggle, and I support them doing so. It is way healthier than pretending the problem doesn't exist and that you have no negative feelings about it. I want the same respect... let me feel what I feel and tell me it's okay to do so.
So yeah, I agree with you all the way. My besties and husband let me be, "not okay right now," and they simply lend their ear and let me talk. They also encourage me and challenge me in ways that don't feel so fake.

My husband is an ENTJ and while we were dating he went on about how crypto was such a great investment and how he made thousands from it. So I jumped on the bandwagon and bought $500 worth of various currencies. 2 years later and I’m still waiting for the market to go back up and he keeps telling me, “just wait, it’ll go back up, this year for sure!” 😅

Being an ISFJ with oddly high Ne I need to agree. Instant Vibe. Big time. However...having many ENFPs as my closest people has taught me very well a struggle from my side. ENFPs are like air. Never static. They are the people that can go from clingy to ghosting and back to loving as if not a day passed. My personal need for stability can't cope with that well, but I have figured by now it's not personal, it's just how they vibe. And I've seen this pattern in all the ENFPs I've known, so, in my experience, this is a common thing for them.
As soon as ENFP admitted to procrastinating, and arguing with her dog about Marvel, I knew that I vibe highly with ENFP, despite being an INFJ. Some of my besties are high NE Users, like ENFPs, INFPS and INTPs.

I'm 1:20 in and already this is destroying me internally. Yes, I do things like cleaning my room at the exact time when I should be doing something more urgently pressing (and then have to panic finish my other projects. The fact that I somehow still do well on whatever it is I panic-mode finished ( I once had to do 5 different papers I hadn't properly studied for in one day and somehow managed to get a good grade on all of them) doesn't help my tendency to do this but does leave me with stress and a reputation. *BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THE HAT (or any other thing that will stay on head) THING???* I've genuinely done this several times to fix my problems. Need to focus? Braid hair with pipe cleaners and use a clothes pin as a hairpin. Depressed/stressed/upset? Use a turkey mask as a beanie. Crying? place a stuffed animal on head until the absurdity of the situation causes the tears to turn to laughter. Need inspiration? put a cardboard box over head and run around the house.

I know for certain that INTJ's are really just wonderful teddy bears of delightfullness with just a touch of chaotic evil once you can get into their fortress. They do have a tendency to enjoy randomly terrifying one at the most unexpected times but they are actually amazing at the end of the day. The chaos I'm witnessing terrifies me.
I don’t get it either, but it’s supposedly a yin and yang sort of relationship.
I'm an ENFP married to an INTJ. Yes, the chaos sometimes gets to him... but most of the time he is simply amused by it.
The reason it works so well for us is that I can be serious and often need alone time (which gives him built in alone time), and my Ne feeds ideas to his Ni... then he extrapolates the outworking and inevitable outcome of each idea and chooses the one that will yield the best results.
We run a business together and it took some time to learn how to work as a team, but once we did, we became a problem solving machine. He will come to me with a problem and ask if we should do A or B. I'll say, "Why not C, D, or F?" Possibilities he didn't even think about... usually a combination of A and B with some random extra spin thrown in... and he will say, "That's brilliant. That. Let's do that." Then, he helps me carry out the plan by giving me the details in small doses. I get overwhelmed by all the details at one time, just like he is overwhelmed when I give all the possibilities in rapid succession. This style works super well for us and we have had a lot of success at problem solving this way.
On another note, I see the heart he has for his loved ones. Others think he's all brain and no heart, but I can see right into him and I know it is there in his intentional and careful choices meant to take care of those he loves. I understand him in a way almost nobody else has and it didn't take me long to do so. I didn't need to learn... I just get him. I know his level of protectiveness is off the scales, yet I appreciate it. He watches out for me. It's one more way he demonstrates his love for me. It only occasionally drives me nutty... when he isn't keen on me traveling on a girls trip, because he can't be there to keep me safe. He's working on that one, though.
He also simply gets me. He understands my motives in a way almost nobody else has. He sees how deeply I feel for those I love and care about. He knows how fiercely I defend them when someone else is being awful to them.
And on a lighter note... he is so fun to have verbal sparring matches with. And to contemplate alternate realities with. He loves doing those things with me.
Finally, neither of us trust the large institutions... they are so corrupt. So, we match on our "conspiracy theories". 😂
Yes, we ENFPs bring plenty of chaos and we thrive on spontaneity, but we also bring sunshine, fun and shared adventure. (He has traveled to more places and tried more excursions since marrying me than he had in his entire 30 years before marrying me. We've only been married 12 years. He very much enjoys our adventuring and so do I. Our fondest memories are of our adventures. Standing on mountain tops with breathtaking views, ziplining over alligator tanks, playing with baby penguins, swimming with dolphins, riding side by sides up a mountain, kayaking, traveling, body boarding, walking on the bottom of an aquarium with dive helmets, holding baby alligators, etc.)
Anyway, we are similar enough and have shared values and interests to get along super well. Yet, we are different enough to keep it interesting for both of us. 😊

Somehow… really accurate. I have a friend who is an ENFP and we really can talk about lots of different things. And then we don’t talk during at least three months. Although I have an ISTP friend (yeah, I have two friends, that’s a lot, I know) whose communication with ENFP was just like you described. Yep, surprisingly accurate.
As an intj I have no light on in my room due to that light bulb produce a bit of heat and I don't like being hot .

It's accurate, though! I don't have to research that dumb thing my husband is insisting I research... I end up being correct most of the time, anyway (and I mean that sincerely, not arrogantly... 9 times out of 10, the answer ends up being what I said).
However, my interests in so many varied topics finds me willfully researching things just to learn enough to satisfy my curiosity. It has to be what I want to research, though... otherwise it feels soul killing. 😂
ENFP’s upside down type, ISTJ:

2. They make me want to run and hide.
3. If I said I’d converse with them, I lied.

INFJ here, I have an ISTJ best friend, and an ENFP joined our gaming group; they see the same pieces on the board, so to speak, but their conclusions are vastly different, and they would often irritate one another and both complain to me about the other one.
Each saw the other's trickster function as a glaring omission and personality flaw.
They're in the duelist position (like me and ESTP) so they would often "flex", on one another, ENFP with their creative Spontaneity, and ISTJ, with their thorough Planning.
I liked them both, and could see how similar but with different priorities they were. They would often wait in silence for me to get back from the bathroom so it was always interesting when we'd go out to places, and I'd often have to cognitively shift into my ESTP Id in order to "Lead" our outings, and arbitrate between them (which the ISTJ quite liked) as I was almost always the tie-breaking vote.
I rather enjoy both (two of my favourite types), but you're quite correct, they don't naturally get along, but rather compete and see the flaws in one another as rank, and would question how I "put up with them".

If you don't vibe with ENFPs that's fine. Your assessment looks a bit too dismissive to me though; it doesn't do them justice.
ENFPs can be scatter-brained due them constantly being distracted by all sorts of impressions. This leads them to forget about the most basic things sometimes and to a clueless observer they might appear sloppy. They aren't, however.
Their sense of beauty, symmetry and - in unison with that - order is actually unmatched. And when they observe their environment, nothing escapes their attention.
I'm also an INFJ, and while I also prefer a neat and a clean environment with not too much going on in it, I'm often just too absent-minded and exhausted to live up to my own preferences. So I might be the one leaving my clothes on the floor or groceries in the bag or who just randomly piles up various things that are in my way.
And there comes my ENFP who picks up those things and arranges them in a certain pattern or who goes "When you cleaned the bathroom, you missed a spot. It was already there last week." It's actually quite stressful sometimes. 😅
You might be surprised how similar an ENFP can be to an ISTJ. 🙃

As an INTJ I can't believe this was my ex.
I have often witnessed is that INTJ’s seem to be instantly attracted to ENFP, but soon after they tend to find them annoying and flakey. There are very few types that INTJ likes.
I feel like that's the exact opposite for INFJs with ENTPs. At first you despise them and think you've finally find someone who is purely evil and impossible to love and that challenges you. Then you spend time with them to figure them out and you realize they're just misunderstood candid trouble makers who make offensive jokes to make people laugh, entertain themselves and try to create a bond and they don't mean what they say. Then you don't want to live without them anymore because they light up your day like a sarcastic sunshine. They're like a baby demon who actually doesn't mean harm but has great chaotic potential.
Are you just drawn to the chaos? We like solving problems, so that's the only logical way I can see this happening. ENFPs do have the patience to peel away the shells of INTJs, but where the structure of this relationship stands without it just being the INTJ putting up the safety bumpers for the ENFP's infinitely bounce ball seems one sided.

I'm an ENFP and my husband is an INTP. We have a lot of beliefs in common, but we differ at the point of feelings and thinking. I don't care about the logical answer if people are getting hurt. My sister is an INFP and we are totally besties! My mother was an ISFP and she kind of scared me a bit when I was little. My sis-in-laws are ISTP and ESFP, I love them both and we're all good friends. My mother-in-law is an ENTJ, though. I feel like we always have some kind of competition going. We each think we're smarter than the other. We still love each other anyway.

As a INTP-mistyped ENTP (with some ambiguity around the T) I find I vibe fairly well with ENFPs (especially the streak of ADHD that's apparent here), except as a techie, being around people who end up in situations like 8:08 , 9:06 , 10:08 is stressful, because they're malware magnets and techies spend too much time are work dealing with the consequences.

That pretty much sums it up. ENFPs are chaos-monkeys with the absolute best of intention... usually. They have ESTJ friends who feel compelled to act as guides and life-coaches, and INFP friends who view them as amazingly outgoing and fun, and ESFP friends with whom they can dance and party the night away without a care in the world. I only rarely fault any ENFP for their intentions, but the reality isn't always peaches and cream. Great people with great personalities, but that Ti-Blind Spot can really be a killer. -- INTP (formerly married to an ENFP)
