nah not really. We just don't always like people and the ways they do things, so we speak little, and do other things. Short, direct, and to the point.

Yeah while as INFJs we often get accused of wanting to change people but we're just telling them what the social expectations are and they should conform if they want to make things easier for them because it's general values (Fe). Whereas INFPs sometimes really try to change people to make them correspond to their own values (Fi). Not all of them of course but it can be a tendency.

@@adaminflux That really isn't antithetical to Fi's nature though because it's more about judging others based on what feels right to Fi and what the "right" way to act should be. So passive-agressively inciting others to correspond to their own moral values because they think they're right. They're more concerned with people not seeing things as they do if they don't get it, so inciting them to be in the "right" like they are. Otherwise you're a terrible person and should feel ashamed.

As a INFP myself I relate to your coworker 😅. People consider me to be very wise, I take pride in that because I'm trying to be a better version of myself everyday and I healed my childhood wounds and my depression (it took years of work and the desire to be happy and wanting to life)

      @Harkz0r 8 месяцев назад +10

@@Cuteemogirl94 Honestly, I'm not sure I agree with that. I may well be one of the few with a very fortunate childhood - in fact, it almost feels like I've spent most of the rest of my life chasing - and failing to recapture - the same kind of happiness and fulfilment I felt when I was young. I've always been imaginative, sometimes overly so, and generally positive by nature. No doubt strange-seeming to people who are very different, mind you, but still.
It was only the sense of isolation that I discovered when I began to understand just how different I was to some of my peers (Enneagram 4 and all) that threatened to encroach on that. And while I'm no stranger to general interpersonal struggles, the only two majorly traumatic events I can think of were my parents' divorce (which happened in my mid teens) and my first breakup (in my early twenties).
Sometimes I think it's just what we're predisposed to. I got the "old head on young shoulders" thing a fair bit as a child, too. I'm glad you're feeling better now, though. Many times I'm grateful for the foundation I have, but sometimes I wonder if it hasn't given me unrealistic expectations for the rest of life.

I'm sure there are many great ESTJs out there; just not the ones I've met unfortunately.
Most ESTJs I know sure do have a well of emotions. And they randomly let them out in burts of anger, yelling, illogic points or being catty.
They could care less about other people... but _do_ care a lot about looking cool in front of other people though. Kind of edgy too.
They're definitely not above using people for their benefit, or putting others down to stroke their own ego.
Actually, a bit egotistic in general.
Plus they're bad at understanding people have various struggles that matter just as much as theirs.
Again, there are just people I've known, I'd love to read some nice comments about ESTJs!

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 8 месяцев назад +22

Ouch, rude for ESTJs. As an INFJ, I admire their dedication, structure, seriousness and objective consideration before personal feelings. They're just hardworkers and want to keep things efficient to make others benefit from it and keep things running smoothly. They don't let their emotions impact their work and that can be a very good thing. They can struggle to deal with their own emotions in general and even more with respecting the emotions of others but every Thinker struggles with that to some extent. They deserve recognition and love for the good things they do, just like everybody else.
Isn't it crazy that they have the exact same functions as INFPs in the end? I think it's very interesting to think about because even if each one is used completely differently, I think there is still ways to relate to them for INFPs. Moreover, I would say you'll never learn more than with your opposite type. Both have so many things to learn from each other.

    • @revui834
      @revui834 8 месяцев назад

INFP - dragon, which in this world are thought to be hunted to extinction and still viewed negatively, and can take human forms
INFJ - human abducted from Earth to the fantasy world due to her unknown magical ancestry, eventually finds out that by birthright she is both the ruler of the fantasy world and technically a god
ISTJ - heiress of a noble family, shamed by her family because of a disability they force her to hide in public
ISFP - one of few known survivors of the long-running effort to exterminate the fantasy land's natives, a rebel with a cause but certainly without a plan
ESTJ - cult leader and false god who uses Illusion magic to fake her powers, used to be next in line as the leader of an assassin's guild that her family has been running for centuries but got disowned and left in the cult instead
ISFJ - part of this land's corrupt fantasy law enforcement, which she joined after a comedy of errors turned all her friends against her (she eventually defects)
ESTP - used to be an heiress to a noble family but hated it and ran away, she also died and got illegally resurrected by the ISFJ and is now pseudo-immortal
ESFP - also ran away from his family as a kid, and got cursed by the ISFJ through the aforementioned comedy of errors, now an unwilling vessel for the most powerful being in the world
INTP - part of one of the wealthiest families that isn't outright nobility on account of her family's casino they run, she's got a (scholarly) obsession with skeletons and reanimated a bunch of skeletons to work as staff
ISTP - an assassin and the INFJ's twin, she wasn't meant to be abducted with her twin and was just kind of dropped off in the middle of nowhere, where she proceeded to get kidnapped and brainwashed into joining the assassin guild mentioned previously
ENTJ - another twin, this time the ESTJ's, she was not fortunate enough to be disowned and is expected to be her mother's living weapon until the day she inherits the guild
ENFJ - part of the same cult as the ESTJ and technically the adopted brother of both ExTJs after he became the actual vessel for the god the ESTJ pretends to be, although he keeps it secret for her sake
      ENTP - guy with problems
INTJ - twelve-year-old magical prodigy, has the strongest latent magic in the world, also has narcolepsy and sometimes casts in his sleep
ESFJ - another dragon, the INFP's older sister, and unwitting sacrificial lamb of a secret community of surviving dragons
ENFP - unbeknownst to her, she's the niece of the guy currently ruling the world, and he needs her to either be on his side or die immediately, and neither of those are very appealing options

For the INFJ, I don't really want to be a main character, too many responsibilities are incredibly stressful and it's very tiring to be a hero. I give it to ENFJs. Brave and fair, hmm I don't really know, maybe. I try to at least cause I think it's right. Pure heart, not sure either. Sometimes I feel like we're the darkest of all and even if I sincerely don't want to I can't really tell either. Probably only INFPs and INTPs would think we have cool clothes when we're not trying very hard to have some style lol. To a sidekick pet, I can definitely say yes though. We would have one. Animals are the humans' best friends. With animals, words are unecessary and you can create intuitive communications and connections with them.

Hi Kristin:) I love your videos, but as an INFP I was both excited and scared about how you were going to depict us in this super fun series you are making!
I have to say I loved this one, I would have almost made the same choices with similar thought processes.
I already fulfilled my crying quota this morning after my driving lesson with my ESTP instructor (I'm 28 btw, european), so I didn't need to see "me" crying again.😂

As an INTP, I relate to the INTP as the sidekick character, though I think that if I was in one of these stories, I’d probably either be an NPC or a brooding stranger. I wouldn’t show up a lot likely, but I’d probably be like a voice of reason… except I’m so forgettable that they only remember that I’m there when I speak, which is very little. Or maybe I’d be less forgettable, but my logic just bounces off of the main character and then I die because of their ignorance, causing them to grieve and blame themselves. Then, my advice would be how they beat the antagonist. Or I’d just be the antagonist, but I’d probably be in Ti-Si loop, loosing Ne and just there to crush dreams or something. Honestly, I could think about this for hours.

INTP fits very comfortably into the sidekick/Pokedex category. 😅 As far as an INTP's own tier-ranking would go, I imagine she would be ranking everyone into her starship crew, and would spend an inordinate amount of time trying to justify placing herself into the Captain category even though she knows she would NEVER want that job in real life. 😂

Hey youtube commenters! I just wanted to mention again that Kristin has a patreon goal that when she hits 500 patrons she's going to make "16 Personalities In A Musical." Let's make that happen!
Even if you can't afford the lowest patreon tier, I'm sure a custom pledge of any size would help her achieve her goal of becoming a full time content creator. Even a dollar would help! So, if her content entertains you, or enriches your life in some way, please consider donating!

Ytube algoritm accidently showed me some of your mbti video. Usually i don't believe in things that desides my life like oh god u're aquarius so u have to be blah blah blah... There's 0 science in it!
But this conception make some sense. Now i understend origin of some of my action, and problems i've got before. So this is not problems it's just my brain works that way so i can't forget about stupid annoying things even if it absolutely unnecessary thing!

Oh and how did you manage to know how I categorize those types???! This is exactly my thought process for each of them! You truly are good at understanding how the types brains function.

16:20 Bravo! Best ranking so far imo. Watched this yesterday with my friend and put my hoodie's hood on while watching because I was so uncomfortable in how amazing this performance was. Had trouble focusing. haha
    From memory:
10/10s, imo, in order of most recent:
    1. INFP tier-ranking- I don't know all the references but I trust ya!
    2. 16 Personalities answering an uncomfortable question
    3. As ASMRtists
    4. Making Tiktoks
    5. Through the Eyes of the INFJ
    5. Year Book Titles
    6. Hold a Chaotic Household Meeting
7 Kidnapping Me- My all time favorite skit from any creator
    8. Realtors
Hope you, Andrew, and your family are doing well, Kristin! Yesterday, where I'm at, we celebrated Thanksgiving, and this was an awesome skit to celebrate with. Grateful for you sharing your amazing gift, every week. You're so smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out. Thank you so much. God bless you. Been praying for you every day.

0:16 tear rankings haha oh, this is gonna rock.
0:33 Liees! I said, oh. this. is. gonna. rock. You deserve a bajillion subscribers. I haven't finished it yet but being an employee of the month for the pick up pants patrol covering my bum (the ESTJ ranker gave me the award), being that bajillion isn't a real number....or is it? Did they Pluto bajillion?
0:43 wait, I thought it was Saturday.
1:33 the narrator is back! She was always my favorite character, no matter what they say, or what was previously written because words caaaan't. bring. meee. downnn, especially my previous words about the ESFP being my favorite (seriously she was, the 4th wall breaking you are beautiful in every single way smiling in the letter writing one might be my favorite besides the pink shirt NT observation in your amazing "Kidnapping Me" skit along with another moment there (that's still my all time favorite skit from any creator) ...ok, maybe takes one to know one with the lying thing...butt(hey, I wanna get my employee of the month award!), only in this INFP's reality of timewarping...what day is it today, oh, yeah, by the way, Happy Thanksgiving, and speaking of which....bye! I gotta go. So far ESFP Lauren is my favorite, but INFP Lily could take the crown. We'll Se!
    Dear Kristin,
🦃🥸 Today, where I live in my reality, my truth (heh...I don't lie except down when I'm typing on my phone), we celebrate Thanksgiving. And a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't know how to use emoticons well for the same reason I don't wear pink because I'm a man but I hope they were emoting clearly, and I just wanted to say thank you for your clearly, cheerful, comedic, charitable, classiness (c-c-c-c-c-combo breaker!) over they year because it helped me learn a powerful lesson that I'm truly grateful for having pondered it weak and weary INFP Edgar Allen Poe style since I was a little kid on the playground: that "takes one to know one" is a saying as worthy as "If you tell me, I promise I won't get mad", "I'm only going to say this once", "back in my day I had to walk a bajillion miles to school"...hey, wait a sec, and hold the phone but not too long so it's not an expensive call, the "you'll understand when you're older" is pretty sweet...but not as sweet as you. jk I mean that part is....I gotta go!
Hope you're feeling better inside and out. Been praying for your recovery from your injury every day and for help with what you mentioned in your insightful podcast. Thank you so much for your amazing work, Kristin!
Oh, and Lily is one the best women names imo! Kind of names I'd name my daughter...hey, understand dreamy dream land. I think Lily, Emily, Isabella, Elizabeth...but not as dear, as Kristin. I'm totally getting that reward from that ESTJ...that I totally remembered her name...I'm lying down write now. jk I love you and everybody here! =) Also, always grateful for your sister Jenna. Still remember that early interview!

1:30 telling this to myself for 15 years now, i truly feel you😩. About personality type, not many people know or realise that every personality type have huge spectrum, so is not every INFP/ISFP/ISTP etc. is the same but some personality trait make them that kind of person (good site also show you your spectrum). It base on psychology not some imaginary statistic, horoscope and is not about you are like that or that because you are this type or person, more like you are this type of personality because you have this trait or another, it's more analysis and is great way for finding people which you will get along with. Is also good way for finding what you may find interesting, what career may be good for you etc, overall interesting stuff. Btw cool idea for thinking which personality would be good for you book character❤️👏 never tough of that.
P.S as INFP personality myself did you ever wondering about putting INFP in antagonist role? Noone knows us more than we know ourself but deep down even as 'mediator' personality type it can go great as antagonist, especially that not every antagonist must be bad or evil it may have good reason in their head for their action but happend to make some bad stuff towards protagonist, it can be great challange.

INFP here, and this whole character typing/sorting into HP houses takes me back to a lot of conversations I've had with my INTP friend that got me into MBTI 😂
Also, can confirm that I never wrote a single line of any book, series, movie, cartoon, or soap opera I've ever started imagining throughout my life 😂
