  • If you want to raise major gifts, you need to cultivate (or build relationships) with your donors over time. Doing that requires a simple, flexible month by month cultivation plan you can use all year long. This is the eleventh video in the Major Gifts Challenge series.

This is really good information. I am the director of a homeless shelter and we are at the point of needing to start a major donor program. We have major donors. We've just never cultivated them other than receiving our monthly newsletter. I'm really excited about this process.

I used the information of a project which I implemented and its successful story to another donor who had interested to give gift fo the same project. I started to have close relationships with those donor considering professional communication. I provided on time report to the donor. The donor visited the impact area and talked with the project staff an project's beneficiaries. I provided good reports on the results of the project and the donor gave me more donations with broader aspects in terms of project thematic areas.

Hi Amy, I just started a new job at a child services nonprofit as the donor information manager. How do you think I can best use the CRM to help my CDO and MGOs cultivate prospects?
