My family is German, i have a german Stamp collection, and studied such subjects, also in indirect relation with fascist groups. So, i know that background.
These guys use German NS Symbols intentionally, these guys where initiatat from people who stated out themselfs neonazis. They built up an organisation, that refers structurally to the national socialist party, including taking over ns esthetics like Leni Riefenstahl and lit. 3 divisions: polical wing, (well self documented,including pogroms on roma travelers....) analogeu to the SA, but also military - elite forces(analogue to the SS) and
youth development. (analogue to the HJ.)
And everybody who wanted, in Germany knew about them. In my peer group definetly everybody. Unfortunately some documents have been made harder to find on this plattform, after the russians attacked ucraine.

In 2013 NATO implemented the DEEP program (Defence Education Enhancement Program) in Ukraine. The best military training, and guess who NATO chose first to educate? The Azovs. I believe the reason that they chose these guys is that they are the kind that will commit war crimes without a second thought if ordered to. If you want an army that will do anything at your command, just pick criminals heavily indoctrinated with many reasons to hate, and itching to use a weapon and give them the best military training. And who has the most power in NATO? The US. That is why they call this war a proxy war. The Azovs are fighting on behalf of the US.

Just to remind people not all Azov soldiers are in Marioupol. They have a Branch in All the main cities of Ukraine. So even if those in Mariupol fall, even if it's a big loss, they still have other Branch in Kyiv, Kharkiv, other cities and in Donbas

I don't think I have heard such hyperbole before, boy does this guy Glen Grant look foolish. Many of the troops surrendering at Mariupol have Nazi tattoos and other far right white supremacist extremist emblems, so they apparently didn't get rid of these guys from the unit. To compare these guys to the British Parachute Regiment is an insult to that regiment, the guys from that regiment that died fighting the Nazi's in WW2 would be turning in their graves - what a totally disrespectful thing for him to say.

However, on the slight chance you are just misinformed and don't understand English very well maybe you should watch this guys video and the videos of the surrender the Azovstal garrison before making a comment which makes no sense in relation to my comment.
Glen Grant states in the video above that all neo-Nazi elements of the Azov Regiment were expelled as an embarassment to the Ukraine, I am pointing out that in the video of the surrendered troops from Azovstal many have neo-Nazi tattoos, so they obviously haven't been expelled. Hopefully that clears things up for you.
Filming the surrender of the Azov Battalion in Mariupol shows how many Nazis there are. So many military people have tattoos in the form of a swastika, German crosses, quotes from Hitler, portraits of Hitler and other Nazis. Many also have inverted crosses, pentagrams, and satanic goats.

There is a lot of desinformation about the Azov Battalion. The Azov Battalion came together 2014, durings russias first attack. Then they consisted in big part of soccerhuligans and nazis. The Azov Battalion was criticized heavily then from both inside and outside Ukraine for that very reason and they were already then denazified and depoliticized and made to serve directly under the democratic government. Sure there are probably several rotten apples in there still and symbols and such stick around, in different forms, and have new meanings but everybody with extreme political opinions, somehow in the public, social media etc. was thrown out or at least there was a big effort in finding those people and getting them out and now the Battalion serve directly under the government and Zelensky ( Also jewish) in Ukraine with several jews among there members. It can also be added that several european countries democratic and everything have democratic parties with a background in communism or nazism, like Sverigedemokraterna in Sweden, they get like 20-30 percent of the votes and has since long ago renounced nazism and are 100 percent democratic in nature. I would also like to add that the members who were thrown out of the Azov Battalion, as I mentioned, made their own party, and ran on the same ticket as a bunch of other far far far right parties and they got less then 2 percent of the votes in the election and won zero seats in there parliement.

Not only british , instructors from many different countries has been in Ukraine to train the Ukrainian forces. Ive got collegues whos been in Ukraine to train infantery units.
We've had 'advisors ' from the national guard instructing Ukrainian military. I hope it's over soon. But either outcome is still going to involve Russia being held accountable for their troops conduct in Ukraine. That in itself would benefit from NATO intervention in earnest. The brutality must be punished.

I’m sure your colleagues are very decent people, and most certainly they felt outraged when they saw the same people they had instructed on how to use mortars, were using the same mortars to shell kindergartens in eastern Ukraine back in 2014.
Let’s not forget we have instructed military forces that were condemned on a number of occasions for targeting civilians in the eastern regions of Ukraine.
Now, in 2022, they are fighting a rightful war of resistance against a foreign invader. We are arming them to the teeth and I wonder, once this conflict will be over, how they will make use of the billion dollars of weapons they received?

If you compare them with the same size group of soldiers in most armies you'll find as many right leaning ultra nationalists. They don't have their symbols on their flags, usually just their bodies.
I don't agree with their political views but there is more to the battalion than being 'nazi'.

We must not justify the Russian invasion or NATO following US influence. However, we must never forget that during World War II the Lvov region in Ukraine, today Lviv, had its "own" 14th Galician SS Panzer Grenadier Division, made up entirely of Ukrainians.
According to Reuters, the Azov regiment comprises 19 nationalities, including German, English, Austrian, American, French, Swiss, and others. Furthermore, the Azov battalion flag is that of the SS DAS REICH.
On the other hand, the US congress that previously identified this group as terrorists recently approved billions of dollars in military and economic aid. Therefore, we are supporting neo-Nazi ideologists.
As Russia is a major rival to US/NATO dominance morality/principles tend to take a back seat....for instance the west can literally support Nazis/dictatorships while espousing "freedom/democracy". "Freedom/democracy" is just used car salesman tripe from US foreign policy. Their really just like any other superpower. Their time is now, but their time will end just as all past superpowers have eventually. Don't be surprised if Ukraine win if Azov becomes the seeds for a future terrorist group but western governments will act all innocent still like their previous support for Bin Laden against the Soviets..he was one of the "good guys" then, then same US government gets to be the "heroes" fighting against him. I'm a bus operator in a big city and a few days ago this white foreigner was on my bus who had a slight attitude and huge accent when I told him he needed to exit the bus because I had arrived at the terminal. As he was exiting my bus I noticed he was wearing a shirt with Azoz battalion, Nazi, swastika and insignia with the letters and numbers A30B. I was shocked because I had only seen these symbols online but never in real life. I couldn't believe how these foreign Nazi's are already here in America.

The structure of Azov was reorganized, when they became part of National Guard. All the former national-socialist roots were cutted to the minimum. They are still nationalist, but in less radical way. And as for the IN, I know what I am talking about.
