I enjoy Fantano and his reviews but him and especially his fanbase can be so relentlessly pretentious when it comes to certain artists that they deem as “not to be ever taken seriously” or “corny” to the point that even in the midst of really catchy and great songs, they have to give backhanded compliments. Quit being so smug and just enjoy a good song when you hear it. It’s not genius or re inventing the genre.. it’s just fun and Hopsin (whether you take him seriously or not) has unquestionable talent and puts all of himself into his music. We get it, you don’t like him.. why do you need to continue to point that out over the course of 12 years with every single release. Done with my annoying tangent lol.. this just bugged me.

Nah you are 100% on point. After all the content I've watched from him, I'm pretty certain he barely even likes rap, his 10's usually go to some funk or alternative different sub genre that most people don't really even know about, yet he gives the most hyped albums (usually rap) and great lyricism, and great reveiw proofed albums like a fucking 8 AT MOST and when he gives a (not good) rating, the album is usally charting big. The man has so many people played its ridiculous, and he's obviously milking the rap genre for some good views and shock value when he does bomb them. I wish more people could wake up and see this man probably has no rap on his top played tracks of all time.

Everytime I see videos of this guy he seems just miserable. I get we all have different music taste but it's not like this is bad... I feel like this is like the equivalent of liking country music but then you listen to rock music (even the most popular well known good songs) just to hate on them and say how much you don't like them when your obviously not the target audience for it. Most of the people in chat seem to be the same way, people in there to hate just to hate.
