From listening to her story, we also have to remember, there are NO villains and no victims in this life. If you remember what Allison Dubois said they both have a dark past. I find it amazing that she makes a point about how abusive HE was but never talks about her crazy nonsense. It takes two to tango. He described him as "charismatic" which is code for "sociopath" and its her mother's fault for not teaching her not to trust "charismatic'" guys. And now she just repeats the twisted cycle that her mother has been repeating with her father. This cycle will never be broken unless she stops with this type of language and blaming. She needs to look at herself first and foremost, then the actual healing can begin.
Not all charismatic men are abusive and not all uncharismatic men are unabusive. Its not that simple, even if it is tempting to think 'I/she should have known'. About "it takes two to tango" well, abusers are lower on empathy and externalise all fault, while victims have more empathy for others than for themselves and internalise fault, which the abuser takes advantage of, or gradually breaks down the victim psychologically until they accept abuse. Abuse is one person crossing a line that most people never ever would against a person who trusts them. The law is clear and not at all debated, because to most people this is common sense.
I rarely comment on YT, but as someone who suffered of domestic abuse as a child, to him and his mom, I salute this woman for her courage, sense of humour and look on life. I hope you have a great life ahead of you, for you and your daughter away from misery and pain!

3:45 She left some stuff out. At the Malibu party Taylor wanted to talk to Camille alone outside. Camille agreed but one of her friends wearing the yellow dress (who many think had a lesbian crush on her) kept escalating the situation by gaslighting Taylor and constantly preventing the two from having some privacy to talk. This triggered Taylor and when the other women heard the commotion they began to physically restrain Taylor even though she was the one being antagonized by Camille’s friend. Eventually Camille’s friend was shoo’d away but then came back again yelling hysterically and this pushed Taylor over the edge. The aggressive pointing was directed at that woman with Taylor saying “you have no idea what she’s done to me” because it really wasn’t her place to talk, that woman wasn’t a housewife or even a friend of the show, she was just some unsolicited drone trying to speak for Camille about a situation she had no idea about. Taylor’s mental breakdown could have been triggered by the combination of physical restraint while being gaslit by a complete stranger about a situation causing her a lot of pain.

It's great to see Taylor doing so well. At the time of the show, I was in the middle of my own abusive 13 year marriage. The abuse was daily by that time. I felt completely alone. I'm proud to say that just like Taylor, I am a survivor and although that time seems like a lifetime ago, I am still healing, but I deserve to be happy and at peace and I keep that in mind. For anyone living in the daily hell of abuse, you deserve to be happy and have peace as well. You are worthy, even if you've been made to feel like you're not. Much love ❤️
I am so proud and happy for you. I support you. You are right, you deserve happiness and safety. That is a beautiful powerful message you just gave to all survivors ❤️
Don’t know if you want to know this but, she filed for a divorce with her husband Russel, and he ended up k1lling himself and lesving her in one million dollars worth of debt, she had to pay with 2 Hermes birkins and her wedding ring.
I've been with someone who used to hit me regularly. I completely understand where she's coming from. People don't realize how scary it is. People say just leave. But they don't realize how scary it is to LEAVE
It’s more than scary. It’s dangerous. A DV victim’s chances of being murdered go up substantially when they leave the relationship. That’s why an escape plan is so important, preferably with help. I wish there were organizations of huge, scary dudes who would show up at a house when a victim is about to leave and keep the abuser from harming or following. Then maybe the victims wouldn’t be forced to flee with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing and then living in fear.
Exactly! And it's like, where would you go? There's always eyes on you- his relatives, friends, etc, and so many of them are so willing to "snitch" without knowing the whole story
@Evil Sharkey, yup. The most essential thing is to put distance between yourself and your abuser. Not just physical distance, but also "friends and family" distance. In other words,be careful who you communicate your intentions of leaving to,as well as where you're going. Try to have someone and someplace you can turn to that is completely unknown to your abuser and anyone he's connected with. Unfortunately, that often means your own family too. If possible, try relocating to a place you have little connection to- a place that's unexpected, and one where it would be hard for him to just pick up and go to for more than a day (if you can do another country,it's ideal in terms of safety, but there's a lot of logistics to consider- language and job prospects not being the least of them). Also,ALWAYS have your own money, unknown to your abuser, for expenses after leaving. It's a hell of a sacrifice, but you can't take chances on having your abuser searching for you,and worse, finding you.
The fact that Taylor’s mum got abused by her father and then Taylor got abused by her husband - that is really heartbreaking and eye-opening. This shows that generational curses are real!!!
Her energy taking her into other abusive relationships . she had low self steam no self respect for her no confidence this kind of people used to abuse that they think its normal to abused thats why she lived with his abuser for 6 year to the point he afraid he will kill her someday normal women would have leave him in year. .i know because i also attract boys who abused me because i had same problem but now i changed and attracted nice guys i love respect care for my mental physical health .confident women
@J Not at all. It doesn’t matter if you are raised by a single parent, or 4 parents…what matters is if you grow up with or without abuse, especially at a young age. That is what statistically makes you more vulnerable to getting into a similar situation.
This was much, much sadder than anything I would have guessed at! I had wondered for years about the origin of the meme, but all that I guessed was "that cat probably wasn't who she was yelling at". I just love the way her face lights up when she finally starts talking about the meme. I think it might have actually helped her if anything, and the proof is in her voice.
Idk, i think this meme is a depiction of misogyny. Some guy took her scene out of context and said "lmaooo look at this woman crying and yelling, she is such a dramatic karen" when in the real scene the woman was frustrated because of the abuse she was suffering. It's like women can't feel sad or angry, because then she is "dramatic" or "unreasonable"
And also the guys in the comments mocking the woman's appearence, when a man don't have arguments against a woman he will always attack her appearence.
While some men are complete A-holes, you are definitely projecting here. The person who created this meme was a twitter user called "MISSINGEGIRL" who is a woman. It is very sad what happened in reality and no one should have made a joke about it. But it was a woman who made the meme
Her story is so compelling, and Im so happy to see her smiling now. As a product of a household with an abusive father I’m so happy to see her on the other side of that abuse, as that’s isn’t everyone’s story.
I totally understand when she says “the life I had in the past seems like someone else’s life”. I was in two abusive relationships and the person I am today would never allow that to happen, I’ve changed so much and grew stronger that the first sign or red flag I just leave the person. Today I am married to a wonderful man that I know would never do that to me, and I was able to find him when I decided to never underestimate the red flags people show you.
I had no idea. I thought the lady in the meme was an actress from some drama. I completely related to what she was saying about being in an abusive marriage. Concealing it, and wanting your friends and family to be nice and pretending everything is fine. You feel ashamed that it's happening. It takes a lot of energy. I'm glad that she's safe now and in a better place.

@@ceciliap5336 yeah I was getting red flags like crazy from that guy the whole season back then. I wasn't shocked at all when it started coming out that he was abusive. It was a hell of a shock though when he offed himself!

@@fandemanga3378 yeah. He unalived himself! I'm sure both situations made him take that way out
So four things off the top of my head:
1. I never thought I would say this about any woman who has appeared on any version of a real housewife show, but I very much respect this woman.
2. I’m very glad she is doing ok now and is out of that situation.
3. RIP one of the funniest memes on the internet - I probably won’t be able to enjoy it as wholeheartedly anymore now that I know the backstory. So big of her to be able to see the fun in if thought! I’ll still find it funny, but not as much anymore now that I know the seriousness behind it.
4. Where is the video with the cat explaining how he became part of this meme?
From listening to her story, we also have to remember, there are NO villains and no victims in this life. If you remember what Allison Dubois said they both have a dark past. We have a tendency to want someone show up a hero that slays the villain. That's not always the case. With that being said, I'm so glad she's in a better place.

Bro I was genuinely glued to this video. I didn’t know how deep the backstory really was. Glad she’s doing really well.
Never realized there was such a tragic story behind a hilarious meme.
FR
Yes, the woman was a "psychic " or something, she was very odd in that episode, a least the way she was portrayed, she was very antagonistic. I watched this episode, and thinking how is that behavior ok?
@@hellenz-b9227 you’re confusing two people and two episodes. You're confusing Allison DuBois, the psychic who went at it with Kyle at Camille's dinner party with DeeDee, Camille's friend who was instigating Taylor and Camille at Linda Thompson's house. Both incidents involved Camille and both episodes had similar titles. The one with Allison was season 1's "Dinner Party from Hell" and the one with DeeDee was season 2's "Malibu Beach Party from Hell".

Exactly! If someone's crying, it's because it's something that happened that means something significant to them. A lot of times, people dismiss stuff as "not a real problem",but if you were able to deal with a situation that has you so upset,it wouldn't be a problem then, would it?

I've been with someone who used to hit me regularly. I completely understand where she's coming from. People don't realize how scary it is. People say just leave. But they don't realize how scary it is to LEAVE
@@Puuws As a survivor myself, I wholeheartly agree with you 🙏
It’s more than scary.
Leaving is the most dangerous time 💜
Thank for sharing, happy to hear you are doing well and rising awareness so others don't have to deal with that kind of situation
The fact that Taylor’s mum got abused by her father and then Taylor got abused by her husband - that is really heartbreaking and eye-opening. This shows that generational curses are real!!!

@J Not at all. It doesn’t matter if you are raised by a single parent, or 4 parents…what matters is if you grow up with or without abuse, especially at a young age. That is what statistically makes you more vulnerable to getting into a similar situation.

So true.
While some men are complete A-holes, you are definitely projecting here. The person who created this meme was a twitter user called "MISSINGEGIRL" who is a woman. It is very sad what happened in reality and no one should have made a joke about it. But it was a woman who made the meme
