We suck so I kind of get it but Benfica are like the 4th best team in the competition behind the three he mentioned. A couple sentences would’ve been appreciated given the amount of time devoted to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Hearing you talk about bayern just shows that the bundesliga is still not recognised outside of europe. Its overall a entertaining leauge. But becouse only bayern munich wins the leauge it makes sense that outsiders dont find it very entertaining.
Bundesliga places 2-18 are often super exciting. The zweite Bundesliga is also really good with historic clubs like Hamburg, Kaiserslautern, Nuremberg coming up. In the end Bundesliga’s main virtue is BY FAR the worlds best fans. Premier league games lack the atmosphere of Bundesliga or Serie A. I love the Bundesliga but please god Dortmund beat Bayern on the 1st.

This Bayern team is literally the best since their treble season. Their squad depth alone could win the CL for them. Every single player is a superstar, or is in a wonderful form. They aren't weaker just beacause Lewandowski left, quite on contrary, they score more goals than ever. They're the absolute favorites.
Finally someone with sense
It’s true the Bundesliga form has been mid but facing 6 games against Inter, Barca and PSG and not conceding a single goal is so nuts. They have to be favorites. Worst attacker is Gnabry who would go for at least 80 should he move to England. Displayed ball knowledge with the Musiala segement tho.

Clueless American indeed the fact SL Benfica wasn't even mentioned just proves it. More Champions league trophies than Napoli and Man City combined, topped the group stage ahead of PSG and Juventus and throughout the whole season has only lost 2 games, 1 in the Portuguese league and one in a domestic cup thru penalties shoot-out both games against Braga which is top 3 in the league at the moment. So far they have scored past 100 goals this season in all competitions. The top 2 scorers and top 2 assists in the Portuguese league are from Benfica, as well as from the remaining teams in the champions Benfica has 3 contenders for golden boot, only Haaland ahead now that Liverpool and PSG are away and Salah and Mbappe cannot increase their score tally, Gonçalo Ramos, João Mário and Rafa SIlva with 8,6 and 6 goals each. They are a joy to watch play football even though Portuguese teams don't have the money of any of the top European leagues like the English, Spanish, Italian etc leagues, this is the true dark horse of the competition

As a clueless American, words cannot explain the joy and relief I felt as Chelsea played somewhat competently for the first time in maybe months against Dortmund, who were on a hot winning streak! Gives me a glimmer of home that will inevitably be stomped out later.

I’m also an AC Milan fan but let’s be real, if we’re drawn with Napoli we’re getting destroyed. Arguably our best performance of the entire year came against them without Osimheim and we still lost.
Your best bet is against Chelsea. Benfica looks solid and other teams are just too strong for current Milan to handle. But yea, u lost against them this season. Would be hard anyway

When I saw their Away Fans when Tottenham played them in CL Group stage last year, I've never been more Impressed in a clubs fans. How United they were with everything along with loud they were for every second of the 90+ Minutes. Others said all German Clubs are the same, which may be true but not exactly the same .Of the other German teams to play at Tottenham in CL in past 5 years, Dortmund in Rd of 16 & Bayern Munich in Group stage (on My Bday they destroyed us 8-2). A few others in CL or Europa league over past 10 years, but I picked the 2 most successful German Clubs & strong Fanbases to use to compare. I'm not saying anything bad about their fans, only that the The FrankFurt Fans were far more impressive! Now Thinking of all Away Fans in PL, CL, or any European Cups, I can't think of any other club's fans that were more impressive I've seen at Tottenham !!

PSG had a lot of structural weaknesses against Bayern. Shit midfield and in that second leg a defense of youngsters because Marquinhos got injured.
