So some tips for how to play pets. How to use each pet: Head of Cthulhu: his DPS scales of max MP. The more the casting wand has, the better. There is also a thing with the ,,after spell ends summon the spell on right with +30% DMG", where you can scale him well due to the fast attack speed The book: the book can summon things. Each book has its own summon limit. That includes, another books. if you put book after book and then a pop you can have up to 45 pops. Additionaly, the soul link is perfect for them, because it gives summons part of the max HP of all the things that summoned it before. Meaning, if you have 2 books in a row and then a pop, the pop will gain max HP from the player and both the books. This scales exponentialy The troll: The troll itself doesn't do much DPS. However it takes a summon and does 10x it's hp per hit. Meaning if you feed it a 100hp summon it will fire a 1000dmg shot. As before stated, with books, you can get a lot of hp on your summons The pillars: The pillars are 4 separate entities. They start with most HP and revolve around it. Their special ability makes it, that when an enemy gets close, they slam down dealing DMG based on their max hp. This makes the op if combined with the exponential book strategy. Also since they have so much HP and are multiple of them per summon, they are a great ammunition for the troll Now for some of the enhancements Cadaver explosion: Deals DMG based on max HP. As mentioned above, you can scale HP really well. If you get this on the summon it will become a suicidal nuke Fusion (the epic spell): You can double the stats of each summon. However the important part is, they stack. If you have two of these (can be achieved by mimicube), you can make two double summons (each having x2 the original summon) and they will combine into a triple summon (having X4 the original summon). If you combine it with the multiple books strategy, you can scale that up fast. Honorable mentions of spells: The echo: if you put the echo after a summon, when it hits the oponent, it will cast the spell on the right. This works especially well with the troll, because that way, when he hits an enemy, he can spawn new summons himself. Also the echo allows for the soul link to stack with any summon and not just books (again, great for a troll into pillars combo). The speed: With the speed and tracking, you can move the summons that don't move (pillars, hands). This allows you to have the pillars walk around you (with the spells follow you or just by aiming at yourself), basically giving you a moving bunker. The freeze: If you put the freeze on the hands, you can basically stop all no boss enemies from doing anything. That is if you have enough tentacles on the field
Just to add to this: If you have Pillars enhanced with Umbilical Cord, Speed, and Orbit you get a revolving wheel of death surrounding you which gets insane if you have Merlin's Beard and summon a lot of them at once.
You don’t actually need any grimoire tech to have unlimited summons, all you need is indomitability and you can make a build of infinite undying summons. You should get a ++ tho or else it’s a bit unreliable. My favorite summon builds will actually cause the game to almost freeze, but they will get > 100 million dps. for example mana reservoir indomitable parasite volley grimoire multishot star arrow duet multishot skull of the cthulu. Just don’t put troll serum or overload, they suck with this.
@@aryn3458 true. Well if you want a fun build with mechanic similar to the example, I recommend shining arrow and then followed by (duet,Skull) repeated a few times and with a bunch of mana reservoirs/vine on the wand, you can reach the int limit (maximal displaying number of DMG) in a regular game. The best part is, that since you have just one summon that does all that DMG, it's actually fps friendly
@@stepankratky4435 yeah that’s probably the „best“ build in magicraft. It’s pretty boring tbh. It was fun doing 1 summon builds with water bubble when cthulu duet chain wasn’t discovered yet, but with it the build has become incredibly overpowered especially for how it’s visually not very entertaining. I would say an interesting build should live from the variety of buffs you have to use and especially the ways you have to think about avoiding diminishing returns. When a build scales exponentially by default there are no interesting decisions anymore. Unfortunately uninteresting exponential scaling can be added to almost any build with volley and a fuse multishot chain. How op this theoretically is is just hidden behind lag.
Read giant trolls ability again, he can kill the last few bosses on the highest difficulty in less than 4 hits. It deals damage based on the HP of the minion that he uses as ammo. Stack damage increases on the giant troll wand(dont need crit, he gets 100% crit by himself) and make a 2nd wand where you put cthulu(or whatever your highest HP minion is) with troll serums and tether so your max HP also increases the minions max HP.
I had the same thought. Using the mimic cube to upgrade the summons that were dying immediately was a waste when it could have been upping the health. The skull of Cthulhu plus a bunch of troll serums and the cadaver explosion would have been really interesting to see.
I believe there's a setting to make auto-casting wands resummon when it has empty summon capacity for its summon(s), making Wand Spirit summoning massively more useful, for what it's worth. Also, I believe the "heal summons if you're holding this wand" bat-wand you put WS on only does the heal if YOU hold it, that kind of interaction is why WS is good on wands that get 150% mp regen when you're NOT holding them.
Honestly, I just don't think I've seen summons be very good for bosses at all in this game. Maybe the troll man can be if you get him early, and get some Spirit wands tossing other summons to give him ammo?
it's the max health of what the Troll uses as ammo, so with all your cubes you can copy troll blood on the bops and have them deal a lot more damage, like how they hit for 1800000 when they threw eachother
29:50 the rerol potion is really good, because of one reason. it can rerol the scarlet room relics. So if you can have a chance to get the ones you want
u definitely had the autocast spell and turned it down early on. The troll is insane too he throws minions like a boss. there is also the spell that combines summons thats pretty gnarly
reminder, in case you've forgotten (or somehow missed it); the "capacity expansion stone" booster spells each reduce the damage of the wand. stacking piles of them just wipes out the damage capacity of anything that wand casts. but those widePops were kinda hilarious xD
Just wanted to point out, at 22:45, you encountered an epic relic after beating a relic room. Epic relics will have a chance to spawn in difficulties higher than nightmare/ nightmare 2 (I don’t remember which, correct me if I’m wrong about the difficulty) with higher chances the harder the difficulty, this is mentioned at the start of each run in the difficulty selector
Yo sifd!! Cant watch this one rn cause its like 3 in the morning Just wanted to say i'm loving that you picked the game back up, you're awesome! Also, this week i finally picked up cultivation story: reincarnation to play cause a friend of mine had it and for such i 've been rewatching your series on it!! Best of luck and "but sifd!!"
my go to has been "spell with ramping damage" (Shining Star/Condensed Water Bubble/Supernova) -> Duet -> summon spell. With what ever constallation of damage increasing mods before the spell, this effectively lets you snapshot your charged spell's damage onto the summons. You can also use multiple "Skull of Cthulhu"+ spells in a row with Duet, and maximum mana on the wand (upgraded skulls gain % max mana on wand as ekstra damage). This would ofcourse be weaker with summons you have to resummon each room because the cast time is quite long. You can probably get something good going with most damaging spells into duet into summon of choice. It seems atleast to me to be one of the best ways to scale summon damage If you get the unique spell Blast Surge (reduces spell area but increases damage for every meter of area reduction) you can scale quite hard with area aswell, how summons interact with Fall to give them area i dont know, Skull and Troll both have area natively though.
I've drawn my conclusions, it seems that the less thought you put into your build the worse it'll do So anyways as far what i wanted to say: 1) duet is used in combination with summons in order of spell gives damage to summon, or spell gives damage to charging spell that gives damage to summon, so that way you have permanent damage increase instead of waiting for your pet to die(for same reason i consider indominability and cadever explosion pretty bad spells, they just don't work as well as damage increase to your active summons) 2) You can use orbit and other such spells to increase spell movement speed and lifetime if you have a targetting passive to right of them(most likely either automatic seeking or mouse targetting one, just what matters is that the rightmost targetting passive overrides other targetting passives) 3) human-Bat/vampre enemies drain your mana with the beam attack in 4th zone 4) I'd say you did pretty great for a summons build, i am not sure how it could be improved by much, Only thing that i can think of kinda feels like cheating the system to me, but yeah, that's what I've been doing before, aka shining star(btw you can only charge it till it reaches max crit not infinitely), with duet into bubble, into mr ke's head(spider summon), or troll, and just stack duration on bubble, or other summon buffs for spider/troll. I usually aim for spider because troll is epic so you get it way later so you kinda have to build your build around something else till then 5) Oh also in my unprofessional opinion, fusion is pretty bad because it's 2 slots for just making summons have 2x health and damage, so in a way doubling their ammount, but ig that's subjective since you can do quite a bit of things if you double the summons stats and ammount... so yeah take that last one with a grain of salt. Thank you for reading and hope you do well in future! Edit: now i am no longer certain if duet with shining star into condensed water bubble into spider summon is intended interaction. Ig it is?
10:00 i believe that room has always the same order of symbols. Now i dont remember it myself yet, i only know the first one and guess the rest. But you could learn it/write it down to help. Its not just a guess work
The puzzle room at 10:00 has always the same order. Round with 1 dot, capital A looking one, the paperclip looking one, and the one with 2 dots... they have "spikes" on the shape. remember it as follows: 3 spikes, 2 spikes, 1 spike, no spike
For an an insane army build turn on the smart summons limit option and use the fully upgraded wand spirit starting wand. You can get 8 (i think) wans all summoning their own monsters.
There is option in options to limit max minion spawn that means that books or auto-wand won't spawn new minions if they are on cap! It's off by default. Have a nice day!

Hello Sifd, after reading through this comment section I picked up some advice(s):
_maybe try focusing on one kind of summon at a time for your next try
_remember that the troll uses the HP of the summons it shoots as damage
_apparently even pillars are a good summon if properly used
_this time you were trying things out of curiosity (which is a good thing !) but you somewhat lost focus on what kind of build or combos you needed to really pop (lol) off

you can just summon the spider and just change the pet on the wand tho...it still uses the spell boost
The "reboot key" is currently extremely buggy. It deletes all off your wont and spells.

your characters face is giving me jojo vibes.
shouldve used a wand to spawn base giants w max serums for the enhanced w max dmg to use them as ammo
Just the fact he didnt try merging two different summons is infuriating beyond words.. and to top it off have simultaneous casting so they merge upon cast
The description of the fusion says merge 2 identical summons
@graemekilby1080 funny how it's worked for me ingame
Redemption summons build please.
I think your build didn't survive because as you said you stretched it too thin and had a pets build not pet
