    Fixing 10 Broken Nintendo Switches - Salvage Liquidation Lot. I bought 10 more Switches - this time from a Liquidation website for $75 each. Now it's time to find out how these compare to the 8 Switches I previously bought from eBay. And it's time to answer two of my favorite questions: how many can I fix AND can I make money?

      Most of the time they are user returns meaning if they get returned to a store they can't go back on the shelf so they go onto liquidation sites. I bought a pallet of Bluetooth speakers which were "tested not working" and 12/19 I had worked right off the pallet with no issues. The other big issue was batteries were bad which was a cheap fix. (Made over $800 profit on the whole pallet.)

    • @Tronicsfix

      @@Tronicsfix The ones I bought were the bigger Bluetooth speakers not the smaller ones. I even got one brand new in the box. Most of the time it's something like a battery, water damage, or Bluetooth problems.

    Just FYI. Given the date of this video pretty sure you have this sorted.
    Found this T/S method for Blue Screen issue on Reddit ;
    Fix theory for the Switch BSOD(Blue Screen of Death):
    1.) make sure your dock is plugged into the wall and your tv
    2.) Hold the power button down for 12 seconds till it turns off (hard reset)
    3.) immediately put your switch into the dock (and i mean no more that 1-2 seconds after)
    If anyone With a switch has Blue Screen of Death (BSoD), try what I did, and let me know if it works for you. This saved me $100, and I hope I can save others with this quick tip.

    • @sluep
      @sluep 5 лет назад +2

      @@Cherry_sew_sweet I haven't had this issue, but it shouldn't. It's just a hard reset, which basically forces the device off by cutting off power to it. It's not a factory reset.

    Wow Steve, you have been incredibly lucky with these so far!!!!!! What a lovely batch to buy, looks like repair hasn't been attempted. This luck has to run out on part 2 :-) I wonder whether some of the working ones might have docking issues. You probably already know this but if you want a proper test of the touch screen then you can go to System settings/controllers and sensors/test input devices/ and then test touch screen. It does x amount of dots per second so you can test slow and fast movements. Great video as always and looking forward to the other parts:-)

Good thing that 8 out of 10 switches are fixable, but one of them will need to be diagnosed what's going on with left Joy-Con being disconnected. Are you sure a normal thermal paste is good for the back of the heat pipe? It does not seem to make direct contact with the backplate. The thermal paste may bleed out if that's the case. Maybe a thermal pad, or a gummy thermal paste like k5-pro would be better?

    • @Tronicsfix
      @Tronicsfix  5 лет назад +1

      Yep, it works fine. I'll probably experiment with viscous thermal paste at some point. Just make sure not to use really thin thermal paste.

  • @bluej511
    @bluej511 5 лет назад +3

    Steve you forgot the thermal paste lol. I'd love to get a broken switch to play and maybe try liquid metal or wet sanding the cooling to get even better contact, could be fun.

    @TronicsFix can i send you my broken nintendo switch? i cant do anything with it so maybe you can? i haven't been able to find much help with what happened with my switch. it's a one of the original switches that could be hacked with the tegra exploit, so my switch got bricked because my boy tried to update Super smash through the official update, the screen went gray, then black, i had my switch in auto rcm, i use Tegra to inject payloads and it isn't recognizing the switch in rcm mode, I was using Atmosphere as my CFW, PS. i do still have my original nand files
