- This may be a day late and a dollar short for spooky season but admittedly I don't need much excuse to talk about this game. Resident Evil 4 not only redefined survival horror, it gave birth to the third person shooter and action hack and slash genres of video games. Come see why this game is so special to me even after all these years and a remake.

@@TheBacklogHog it was the gateway to survival horror for a wimp like me. After completing it, I have pretty much finished most game series in the genre. If nothing else RE4 is one of the most important games of my life.
@@kimetsunoacademia3528 I agree, I love survival horror but I’m a scaredy cat so re4 was the perfect game. I remember my brother and I beat the game twice in one day. Good times lol
@@TheBacklogHog lol re4 spoiled me so much when it comes to the use dynamic gameplay mechanics to enhance the horror experience. That I am one of the few people who absolutely hate the type of games that are amnesia and outlast, due to their non existent replay value and boring gameplay loop
@@kimetsunoacademia3528 same, I did get really in to the first outlast but could never with Amnesia. I’ve tried so many times the walking simulator horror game is boring to me. I want to survive and shoot things lol
