      Since it's just roughing up the surface, it's likely 120 on the low end and 220 on the high end. That's usually what sanding sponges come in.

    I imagine that was oil-based primer since you were using a horse hair brush which are usually used strictly for oil based products

    Where is the rest of the video? He said that the presence of the gloss needs to be addressed. Is it addressed by sanding? Why didn't he prepare the top?

      I believe he did reply with light sanding

      It was ages ago. Yet it holds up. The phones might have changed but the trim has not

      I appreciate your video but in my opinion I still think that outer molding was not smooth enough (i know its old and painted over many times but why not palm sand it to smooth it more) i found this video while searching for how to smooth and sand an even messier trim with caulking bits and divets etc) I guess i am too OCD about painting over old drips and scrapes
