- Solo Leveling has come to an end and in this video I am explaining the ending of Solo Leveling and what it really meant. Sung Jin Woo has gone through a lot, but he still decided to go back in time even though it means nobody will remember the heroic things he did, but in Sung Jin Woo's eyes living a peaceful life with no hunters or monsters is worth not being remembered.

Fun fact to people who want spoilers. When jin woo returns to earth his mana is so great that it spreads out throughout the earth and turns some people back into hunters but they aren't as strong as they were in the past timeline. For instance madam selna gets her powers back because she gets exposed to jin woos mana, Cha hae in get her power to smell mana back but she doesn't get her other abilities back, only her ability to smell mana and some other characters get some weaker variants of Hunter abilities because of jin woo. The mana radiating off of him was so great that the rulers requested that he went and stayed in another world so the mana leaking off of him doesn't destroy the earth so instead of just going to another world he uses tusk to act as a conduit to channel the excess mana he has and to fire it out of earth. So basically in order to remain on earth he uses tusk as a 24/7 conduit for his mana lol, poor tusk 😂

The only shadows Jin woo doesn't have any more are the human hunter shadows he had like greed, iron etc but he has all the monster shadows since after he came back to the past he killed them all over again when he entered the crack in the dimensions

He did that because he lost his dad, go gun hee who had alot of development in the story etc. He also did it because he cares about humanity and blames himself for some of the people that died that he could've saved like the students in jin ahs school. He has reasons to go back in time to save his dad and all the millions of people that died. Take Superman, does he save people for any reason ?
He doesnt, he just saved people because he is a good guy. Not all heroes need reasons to save innocents.

@@voidroad There was work on the main side characters like go gun hee etc but yes this manhwa is also a power trip but saying all the side characters didn't have any development is false.
I mean, just because the side people didn't have a progression of their characters, doesn't mean that the main character didn't/shouldn't care about them. He was always inclined to self sacrifice with or without the shadow monarch powers, so his decision makes total sense
The side characters did have some development, until they all undone by the NG+ cup.
I completely disagree. The ending made the entire story into a filler with 0 sacrifices instead of having a meaningful where you win some and you lose some along the way
I feel like this ending messed up much of the development in the show and made many deaths pointless, I woulda been more satisfied on him dying at the end to save everyone
The ending is a thing of ABSOLUTE BEAUTY 😭😭 I read the novel I knew what was coming but it's still such a great ending I can't help but applause the writer as well as the people who turned it into a web comic 😭

Imo, yes, this ending did heal my heart after the brutal last few chapters, but once that rush was over...it was very unfulfilling. Resurrection at the end of a book always, at least to some degree, cheapens the deaths along the way. Go gun hee was the biggest thing about this, but there was nothing to the side characters, so the entire thing felt very lazy and cheap. If we saw his struggle to defeat all eight monarchs once more, from the perspective of someone who already knows how his power will grow, then that's another thing. But we don't. All we get is a "oh yeah he's a hero who nobly saved everyone and the world is at peace now". It was a tacky cliffhanger, and coupled with the repetitive fighting at the end it just made me think 'oh, that's it?' But at the end of the day, it's a power trip. Side characters were never a huge concern of the author or artist and I get that.
Hopefully they do all the side stories like jin woo fighting those new Giants from another dimension, him getting married and having a son, igris and jin woos other main soldiers backstories etc.

@@ulises6475 yeah. I was honestly mad at the ending. The novel continues after Jin woo sees Cha hae in after he returns to earth. After the manhwa ending where Jin woo and Cha hae in meet each other. They talk , Jin woo goes home and reunites with his family etc. After that he meets Cha hae in again at some sporting event and they actually become friends there. They start dating in college and get married after they graduate. Jin woo becomes a detective and Cha hae in become a celebrity athlete and the have a son together. I have no idea why the author didn't add all this.

personally, i think that the having time resetting after he had successfully beaten all the monarchs just made all of his efforts for nothing, it isnt enough to ruin it though, its no where near, i just think it wouldve been better to have kept the first ending and gone with that

There has been rumors of a solo leveling anime since it started and gained popularity. Now that someone made a 23 second ost trailer, they’re sparking yet again.
I’m 99% sure we will never see solo leveling as an anime as sad as that is.
I know every question was answered and every enemy he had was beaten but it still felt like it was left on a cliff hanger and it sucks to see this end
If you think about it, it was also amazing foreshadowing in Chapter 161 where the system asks "Would you like to restart the world". Who would've thought at chapter 161 that Jinwoo would indeed restart the world at the end.

The ending didn't seem so great to me. In my opinion the way they defeated the Monarch of Destruction was a bit simple. It was a good fight of course and I will not deny that it had its great parts, with the Rulers making an appearance to finish off the Monarch of Destruction. The problem is Jin Woo's last attack with his father's dagger, it feels more like a Deus Ex Machina, than a well-deserved "final attack"
Take into account that the Monarch of Destruction proved to be far superior at all times, and although Jin Woo always managed to equalize the balance, in the end he overcame the Dragon King's combat experience. When Jin Woo becomes a kind of ... Giant Black Knight? He obtains a certain advantage that he does not take long to lose, because the Monarch of Destruction had more experience in combat of titanic proportions and knew how to better use his energy so as not to exhaust himself during the fight. Instantly after that, Jin Woo starts to lose, then the Deus Ex Machina happens and everything ends.
Another point against, is that they did not adapt it well either. In the novel the combat is much bloodier, the devastating blows rain down from both of them, the Dragon King disintegrates Jin Woo's left arm with his flames and Jin Woo tears out his tongue making it bleed hot lava. After the fight of the titans, Jin Woo is very badly injured, but the shadows do not magically intervene to hold the Dragon Monarch, even so, Jin Woo uses his father's dagger to wound him; but on the chest, not on the face as in the Manhwa. The battle does not end there, but it continues and becomes more intense, the Monarch of Destruction even receives the attack of mutilation from the front and still continues fighting. One of Karmish's daggers breaks and the other is caught by the Monarch of Destruction with his bare hands, Jin Woo is hit in the stomach and neck, and his Dark Heart is even stabbed!!
In the end I suppose they censored it, a shame, as these were the most dramatic parts of the fight.

The only another letdown of the solo leveling is the romance... You can basically understand what i mean
I absolutely despised the ending because time travel/it was all a dream tropes are ALWAYS cheap, but I respect it because the creator wrote it that way from the beginning (or so I’ve been told). However, in spite of that, I still love this IP with all my heart ❤️

can someone explain the final chapters of solo leveling? start at the point where he goes back in time cus i did get a little confused with what he was doing and why he was able to look like a child again when he came out of the portal.
so basically the reason he was able to look like a child again is because he have the power to avert his age. Jin woo went back in time so that all the people that die during the last 10 year would come back alive. After, he then went to play with his friends from school and spend quality time with family. This probably happen in a span of like a week. After spending quality time with his family and friends he left to the dimensional crack and fought the monarchs spending 27 years but 2 years has pass on earth. Came back to earth and chatted with a ruler saying that jin woo's power is to great to stay on earth. After talking with the ruler he decided to stay after seeing Cha Hae In there he averted back to his actual age as he walked closer "which seems like to be in his middle school teens 13-15". He doesn't look any different because it's only by 2 years.

He should’ve never used the cup. A normal ending after the war would’ve been great, plus alot of things don’t make sense now that he’s gone back. Also it makes the entire journey seem meaningless in a way

The ending in the manhua is disappointing. The novel ended at 270 but they rushed the ending, ending it at 179 and an altered chapter at that.
As of the time of this comment. Solo leveling officially ended!! This was one hell of a ride!!
I personally loved solo leveling ending. It showed he cared about the characters enough to let go of the power, fame, and money he held over the world. He cared more about the people he lost then what he gained before the cup of reincarnation. Jin only ever wanted a real life devoid of having to grow up and take care of his family, never living a normal life. It was implied he was a selfless person before he got his powers. The little acts of kindness along the way showed he never lost sight of his virtues and who he was. This is why I believe he was worthy in the eyes of the monarch who granted him power. We can learn a lot from who Jin was as a person.
the only regret is I would never see how great the Chinese's liu zhigang is in the Manhwa, because we did never see him in action like the other national hunter/ top hunters i.e thomas andre, Christopher Reed.

@@thirdeyetrap4341 bruh. Igris is still a shadow. He was originally a shadow in ashborns army. He was one of the two wings of the original shadow army with Bellion being the 1st wing. He was placed in that dungeon as a boss and nerfed for jin woo to level up but he was a shadow prior to that so since jin woo doesn't have the system made by ashborn igris is in his default form which is his shadow form since in this timeline ashborn never gave him a physical body and nerfed him to fight jin woo. In igris side story in the novel it's literally stated that igris was present at jin woos fight with Antares in the dimensional crack. Jin woo got a huge scar on his right hand from the breath of destruction because he had jumped in front of igris to save him from being hit with it. In the extra side strories as well we see igris, beru and Bellion baby sitting jin woos future son while jin woo was at work.

Nvm. I found out this was the last chapter. So now, about what happens next (pls correct me if something is not right and please add more details), Madam Selner found out about Sung Jin Woo's identity. I remember there was supposed to be an outbreak but Jin Woo handled it alone. He was seen by the drones or something, then the government or some major org asked if he isn't a threat. Madam Selner replied he isn't, since he's the savior of the world. Then there's a scene where Thomas (if I remember it right) was helping Madam Selner in gardening. He asked why Madal Selner is kind to him or something like that, only for her to reply that he was a hero or a savior in his previous life. Of course Thomas had no idea but still accepts what Madam Selner said. Now as for the father of our MC, the rulers did ask if he didn't want to tell his son that he had an idea on what Sung Jin Woo did, and he replied "yes" regarding to that question. And his memory was erased afterwards. Then he met the director dude, the one with shoulder length hair. I forgot his name but he's the one who became the director after the old man's death. The director felt something familiar on him, then suddenly when Jin Woo left, some memories rushed up on his mind. His memories came back. And then he rushed after Jin Woo who just left only to shout "Hunter Sung Jin Woo-nim!". They talked to each other and he thanked Jin Woo. I forgot why he managed to remember those things but there was a reason behind it. I've read the LN long ago when the chapter was still around 90+. Then he met Chae Ha (if I remember her name right). This time, he gave her her past memories, then Chae Ha hugged her if I remember it right. Then they got married and had a kid.

I stopped where the American S rank hunter or was it the American national rank Hunter I forget what which one he was but he gave Sun Jin woo those two short sword that we're better than the ones sung Jin woo already had

Well its complicated. As a child no, but at the moment he stepped through into the other world, he would have immediately merged with Ashborn’s power this time since their consciousness had already become one. So he would have regained death god powers by default from Ashborn and not necessarily through leveling like he did on the previous run.

Read the short stories and it made the ending that much better, it was nice seeing (well, reading) sung Jin woo at peace and happy for once. Also SPOILERS since I highly reccomend you read the short stories
I was so happy that cheol regained his memories, ik the whole plan was for them to never know but it was just nice seeing a charachter that we know KNOWING everything, y know?
