Then when I was in New York on a girly holiday struggling to get an internet signal, he didn't respond on Facebook for the entire week I was there. Yes, we knew where the other was..but he seriously lacked the ability to pick up his phone. Oh and I didn't go psycho..hah.
Why would telling her the phone would be off be any different than when he told her I'll be in Europe for two weeks and unreachable. And, he was backpacking.
Dude, I went travelling for 6 months in Northern Europe/Scandinavia (not that it's hard, I'm scottish, cheap flights ;3) and managed to keep in touch with my family. There are wifi sites everywhere, you can get deals with your phone company for calling abroad. Yes, your gf was an idiot for not listening but it's really not hard to stay in contact with people while out of the country xD

Not sure if you were paying attention, but he didn't know about the emails until he came home because he didn't have internet access and his phone was turned off to avoid paying roaming fees from his cellphone provider, so he doesn't know anything is wrong.
If this woman had a single functioning brain cell she would have at least tried to contact his friends/family to find out why he was not responding to her.
Okay... let's think about this for a minute and assume this scenerio really happened. 1) a sane normal person would want to find out what happened and probably wouldn't just assume the guy was avoiding her. What if he was in trouble or something, in an accident? She immediately assumed he was ditching her. That right there is a red flag. 2) His friends should have told her but we have no idea what happened there 3) Again a sane person doesn't dump a BF because she assumes he is ditching her because he's not answering his phone and also doesn't get drunk and bang another guy in retaliation. In other words, this girl has serious baggage issues. I would have called it off as well. So many way she could have gone. That was not the sane and logical way.

He did give the adequate courtesy of letting her know where and when he was going but you can tell that the girl has trouble listening. Someone did try tell her but she called him a "bullshitter". If the girl had it together then the feeling of concern should've been her main emotion if things are suddenly quiet, not insecure tantrums about how much a prize she was.
