As a dad of girls, I’m so happy there is someone so talented being celebrated for their technical skill and not just their looks. Danielle is both, but she gives off the vibe that she isn’t letting her looks overshadow her abilities, and passion.
@@galacticjuicedaddy1305 She Doesn't Have To Be Compared To Anyone. She Has An Abundance of Talent. Writes Music & Lyrics. Plays Multiple Instruments. She Has Her Thing, And Owns It. Especially, That Beautiful Voice.
Haim’s cover of Oh Well was before Buckingham and Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac. It was composed and performed with Peter Green. Danielle does not play like Buckingham she uses a pick and Lindsay Buckingham does not - he plays using just his fingers. This does not in any way diminish how f-ing talented Danielle is.
I don't know who gave out this award, but Estee should have gottein it. But the true talent of the Haim sisters is the whole band. Their teamwork and timing is stellar. Mom is stellar. You simply cannot evaluate these girls individually.
A big statement but she's marvellous so let's not quibble. Danielle is a brilliant rock guitarist, singer, excellent drummer and bassist. She's also totally gorgeous. A funny thing about Haim is they're more of a 70s rock band in concert but a pop vocal group on their recordings.
When it comes to vocal capabilities . It's run of the mill stuff that any female voice can easily achieve . Nothing that displays impressive range and control . Try some Whitney Houston Ann Wilson Aretha Franklin Now they were true accomplished female vocalists
She is the complete package as a rock star for sure. I think it does her a disservice to pigeon-hole her as an instrumentalist, that invites comparison to the any number of people of her generation that are technically better players. Why not just enjoy her for what she is, a talented multi-instrumentalist, an even better songwriter, and an amazing stage presence? Surely that all adds up to more than technical fireworks?

Do you understand that overblowing a mildly talented woman just because she enjoys playing different instruments is just as problematic as being sexist and saying some stupid shit like "women aren't good musicians"? It devalues their actual contribution by giving a false attribution of greatness. If you don't agree or see the point, here is a bit more context: I like this band. I haven't heard their entire catalog but Danielle is extremely interesting because of her personality and versatility. That said, she isn't above average on any of the instruments I've seen her play. Nothing close to being a virtuoso. Now, as a composer/producer, her pop sensibilities are AMAZING. She can create albums like very few people can. If you're just being a fan and saying shit just because you love them, that's cool, we all do that sometimes. It demonstrates a lack of awareness of the level of talent that is really out there right now though lol. If you actually were into multi-instrumentalist musicians within pop and rock, I recommend you to check out Jacob Collier. He plays a lot of instruments and also sings. He has a lot of pop sensibilities and is awesome.

She plays just like Lindsay Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac. That’s a huge compliment. Wow.
you should see them covering fleetwood. goosebumps.
😆😂😆☝️☝☝😂😆😆
She's a very proficient musician and I'm a huge fan of HAIM, but comparing her to Lindsay Buckingham is a bit over the top.
