I would add to this video:
1) Make sure to remember the importance of the standing leg. Imagine that the ball of your foot is like a drill, pushing DOWN into the floor; this helps keep the necessary tension for a taut feel.
2) Adding to this tension, hold in your stomach a little, and squeeze your butt; again, this tension is good, as it will not only add a taut look but, also, help maintain your balance.
3) Make sure to keep the shoulders back.
4) When starting to do these turns, begin slowly and gradually -- first, do a quarter of a turn, and then a half, and then 3/4, and then a full turn; each time, remember to SPOT (when doing less than a full turn, it means keeping your head still until you reach the final destination, in which case you look to that side).

Try using more experienced dancers in your videos. Their arms are horrid, no spot, that is a tendu not a degage.

What's with their feet, it's not 3rd position or 5th and 3rd isn't supposed to be used anyway.
It's third position, and that's how I was taught
Ballet was a secondary skill for me (gynmist) so I was no expert...but I emember 3rd, with 5th alternative, for continuous option of movement (which may be different bc for me it was a tool to work a mat, rather than placing one's self w/in a ballet..?)

Devoted But I'm 17 and in 5 months 18. I tried to come back to ballet classes when I still was around 16, and they told me that the top age was 17 and basically that it didn't worth the year, so I didn't come back because of that. 😔 So now I just can dance in my room😢
Madeline Miranda no matter how hard you work you can still pursue you dream, but I understand what situation you are in now. This might not help but there is this ballerina who started dancing when she was 47 and still dances en point and she is 71. I know some people say 17 is the cutoff but you can pursue your dream at any age :)

At the beginning of the video the girls arms were awful! the girl in the middle is one sided and the girl with the glasses arms is too low down and the tanned girl's arms is far too wide. They look young yet so plenty of time to improve those arms.

Do you guys know what style they are taught in the vid? (Different styles have different arms, technique, preparations, etc.) I haven't seen any studio teach a preparation from a demi-bras into a pirouette before, and I would expect the hands to be facing the ground in that case. :/

When they were prepping for the Pirouette you said Degagé. Incorrect. You Tendu À La Seconde, or to second position, to start the prep. A Degagé is where you brush the foot only about 3 inches off the ground. A Tendu is where you brush the foot out to point toward the ground, but a Tendu DOES NOT leave the ground.
Man spinning is hard I always fall when I spin lol
I do many times as well, but my teacher always says "think UP", and it helps me. Leaning in any direction will always cause you to fall.

Well how bout the fact that I can do a quad? Yeah... I think I can hold a posse! Of course you're supposed to bring it down, but you have to hold it at the end to IMPROVE the pirouette. btw it's they're, as in they are.
