    It's true that good looking people get more attention as well as help and interest. They get more opportunities in the job interview more than other candidates.

    I have external beauty, but my introverted personality destroys my appearance and causes me to lose many opportunities in my life, and this is something that bothers me constantly.

    Being pretty is only attractive someone at first sight, what keeps everyone's attention on you is your kindness, your attitude, your words. A pretty word is the word where everyone helps the others and knows how to think to not make the others unhappy.
    At this age, a handsome boy doesn't matter to me 🤣🤣

    I think being pretty is not a privilege because I believe that the most attractive things in a person are their ethics and their real behavior. If someone is pretty but interacts poorly with others and does not respect them, their beauty, in my eyes, changes to ugliness.
    I'm thankful to you for discussing this topic.💜🌹

    Most people have addressed that beauty is highly subjective, it varies across the world, often related to cultural factors and preferences leading to any sort of discrimination, and it's all in the eyes of the beholder. We consider someone attractive or good-looking when we naturally directly see their face, the most evident part of someone's appearance. And I also agree with everything discussed in this episode. So, therefore, having a pretty face can be a significant aspect of why one is treated or befriended in a particular way just because of their physical attractiveness and some other characteristics.

    It is an interesting topic to talk about and discuss it. Friendship and mainly romantic relationship are widely affected for the people beauty, in fact even the sex is related with pretty of your love partner, because you can not be excited for someone who you don't feel atract for. It's a harsh problem to solve, if it has some solution.

    Yes. Being pretty is already a talent

  • @thaophung7205
    @thaophung7205 4 дня назад

    I strongly believe that being good-looking is a kind of talent. In fact, it is extremely hard not to be attracted by people with attractive physical appearance. The fact is that not everybody was born with beauty. Many people also have to make a lot of effort to have good looks, which shows that they value their bodies and constantly improve themselves to become better versions. That is the reason why I extremely admire them. I admit that personality and behaviors are important and there are some people with good appearance but poor behaviors and ethics but there are also many people out there who have neither attractive looks nor good personalities so why don't we strive to enhance both our external and internal beauty. Even if you are not beautiful enough to get pretty privilege, at least you are better today than you were yesterday.

    Yes sometimes being pretty is privileged or sometimes not actually I've seen some people who literally envy of pretty girls if they do hardwork still people call them that they got something cuz of their Beauty. In my opinion personality matter not their physical beauty

  • @mizer6o9

    01:52 As if having more "friends", getting more attention, and strangers treating you nicely was AMAZING. Those "friends" are probably fake and only want something from you, the same goes for strangers. And getting more attention is good for who, exactly? Only for the needy ones, which is pathetic.
    I personally hate being stared at, it's uncomfortable as fuck. And having real friends is almost impossible (though I couldn't care less about this at this point in my life). Men will want to be with you only for something else and women will most likely hate you because they're insecure and your presence bothers them. Also, if you're a fuckin psycho, narcissist, or whatever and you're pretty, you will attract people more easily which is PERFECT for you but not for them, of course. People even adore murderers only for their looks despite all the fucked up shit they've done. So, pretty "privilege" is not a privilege, it's just another superficial shit society invented and it seems to be no good for anyone.

    I have 2 colleagues, one is good looking and the second one is not-really-beauty, the second one is really good at work, she know more about our job more than the good-looking one but our company did not renew her contracts and choose to renewed the good-looking contracts even though she have no background about our job and not that good to her job.

  • @angthimai5877

    yes, beauty is really a privilege in some cases, not just today but also in the past. Being good-looking will help people have more job opportunities, whether receptionist or flight attendant. But when it comes to relationship, I do believe that people find a partner or make friends not just about appreance, personality and character, interests are more important. as when we are talking to each other, we can not only just look our face, our body to make a conversation, we gotta have a common in something, which makes us have a long, deep relationship.

    • @LEP-LearnEnglishPodcast
      @LEP-LearnEnglishPodcast  10 дней назад

      Absolutely, you make a great point. While beauty can open doors in some professions, true connections in relationships are built on much more than appearance. Shared interests, personality, and character are what truly sustain long and meaningful relationships. It's about finding common ground and understanding each other on a deeper level. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊🌟

    I heard this fact (is beauty can privilege?) from other RUclips channels, they said, the fact is most people tend to overlook others. we naturally tend to watch their appearances. voices, faces, thin, fat, tall, short, etc. but I think that is just the man's outskirt specifics. it's like a baby who is firstborn from a mother, a baby can only notice her voice and touch feelings. and I think there's not a difference in others' judgment, but now a days, we have watched so much social media. and we n

    For me, as a person who has been treated with pretty privilege, I have to say I hate it. In my place, if you are pretty, other women will easily get jealous of you and tend to get you into trouble. This situation will be the opposite when it comes to men. 😊

    Pretty privilege is more about how lucky you are to have a pretty face than your behavior and innerself. The majority of people is looking to opt the most attractive partner to look at, especially when it comes to women. All of this pressure is a terribly haunting one.
