What’s really cool is the song is meant to sound nostalgic almost. So when you said it sounds just like something but you can’t put your finger on it that’s the whole point. Since it’s about a relationship from childhood it’s supposed to sound very familiar.
Fucking crazy. Frank be like "lemme make a song that you've never heard before but make it feel like you have" without making it sound similar to any other song out there.

YES! Blonde is damn near impossible to find on vinyl, but it is absolutely worth your time to listen to the entirety of the album (even if it is through 1s and 0s). One of the single most impactful albums of the last few decades. Cheers, mercurial!

Its funny how you commented on the fact that the songs sounds like something, because I too had that impression the first time I listen to it, but after s many years I still dont know what it is. I honeslty think that the sweetness of frank's voice and those blissfull guitar cords have the power to make me feel pure nostalgia and that's why it sounds like "something", it puts me in the a place of confort and happiness that I felt before.

Yeah the beats great a great uplifting vibe that basically has you floating along with frank through the song but the true passion of the song is in his voice. The expression, the vocalization, and the softness but also aggressive tone he holds is amazing. It’s the spirit he holds within his voice that shows his passion in this song
