The Indian Demo Truck came to Elk Grove Powersports with all the new 2025 models, including the Scout 101, so of course I had to check it out for myself. Come for a ride with me and see what I thought.

Who doesn't review friction and familiarize themselves with ride command before moving off the lot? This review left me with more questions than answers.
The time you see me with the motorcycle is the total time I get with it. So it's definitely learn as I go. Let me know what questions you do have and I'll give you what I got. Thanks for watching! ✌🏽
I'm from EG too, glad to see our city being represented on the net.
The hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) is where you change the ride modes. Just rode it yesterday for a demo day, right after a Sport Chief. Was convinced I'd be getting the Sport Chief, and now nope, I'm getting a 101. Coming from a naked sport bike (CB1000R), it is great in sport mode! Was actually tucking and felt very flickable. All the cool things of a sports bike without my back killing me 30mins into a ride.
It's good to hear that my ride was an aberration. I need to give a second try, as I really wanted to like it. The Sport Chief ended up being my favorite, but it's a pricier.
How tall are you?
The Indian Scout 101 makes me think, "Motorcycle Riding 101: In this course we use the Indian Scout to demonstrate a well-done cruiser/sport hybrid design..."
The 101 has lots of power and until you get used to break in time you will love this bike .
I am interested in this bike, although the touch panel gave you a mirage of problems, another reviewer had no issues at all and the sport mode was ultra responsive and no clutch gear issues whatsoever. Sport mode is very different from the other two, but the control was still intact. Plus, they couldn't even display the speed, yes that fast.
Thank you for the rider, comfort seating position, I am 6'2" and that was a concern, but forward controls works. In the end to you feel that it;s worth the extra money? Thank you.
At 6'2", I think it should fit you fine, but I'd suggest throwing a leg over at the very least and definitely taking it out for a ride. IMO (not professional), I do think this is more than just a standard aesthetic upgrade and more worth the extra money than Harley typically offers on an "upgrade". Definitely do a comparison on Indians website and see the differences and you can decide whether it's worth it to you.

My question is: Is this Scout 101 worth the extra money, or stay with the Sport Scout. I would appreciate a reply, thank you once again. You did answer everyone else, so I could use some professional advice.
Look I have ridden lots of bikes this bike is awesome sport mode is great.
I rode it on friday. Didnt have a problem with the clutch. I thought the bike was excellent. Bike did have a broken brake lever
Did you get it into Sport mode? I got to ride the Scout Bobber with the new SpeedPlus 1250, and that was easier to find the ride modes.
@@thatoneguymoto i did get into sport mode. i changed it before i took off on the test ride.
Wow bro that was not good opening to ride. Check the friction before you move man motorcycle riding 101 been riding for 42 years. That was a rookie mistake. Glad it worked out and did not tip over. I wrote 10 one recently had zero issue with the clutch.
Definitely not a great start. Respectfully, I have been riding for 15 years, so not a rookie mistake. I'll say this was a mistake born out of excitement to ride this bike.
Nice video overall, bro! Was good to re-watch the route we took that day. Did you record your Sport Chief ride as well? If so, are you planning to cut it and release it soon?
Hi! I did record the Sport Chief ride. I'm editing it now and it should be out in the next week, or so.
Great! Looking forward to that!
Hey bud your probably a great guy but your riding is like your speaking your stuttering all over the place...give a bike some revs and try get your words down with confidence.
Maybe you just had an off day.
"Hey bud your probably a great guy" = "with all due respect" 😆😆 Thanks for watching
How about a once over on how the bike works before you ride and not waste our time with your complaining.
Straight up this was as complainy as I get. Every Scout I've rode has been great. So, between the Ride Command and the clutch this certainly felt like a letdown. I wish I had more time to test Sport and Tour modes because Standard was just too tame. Felt like any other bike's rain mode. Great looking bike, that needs some tweaks is what I'd sum it up as.
You need more experience, learn the system first
For sure. The truck was back out in my area last month, but I wasn't able to make it, but I really wanted to give it another go.
