Have one and have put 1200 miles on it. It's a fun bike, for sure. Especially in sport mode. Not real comfortable for long rides, which I like to do, so I changed out the handlebars. But I'm very pleased overall with the bike. That 116 on that small chassis....more than enough power.

I rode a demo one with the 10” risers and wasn’t impressed with the acceleration; that being said I am wanting to ride a different one that hasn’t been thrashed with inexperienced riders on it for 8,500 miles. Full disclosure: current bike is. 2019 FTR 1200 S Race Replica with the S&S leg burner exhaust and a performance tune from from the dealer soooo I’m used to a far faster acceleration on the daily so I’m wondering if that didn’t jade my experience.

It's been a long time since I rode the raider. The Indian handles better without the rake/longer wheel base the raider has. I'm inclined to say the Indian performance is better as well but that's just from my memory of the raider. No doubt the raider is still an awesome cruiser, just built for different audiences.

@@JonsMotoGarage So, immediately after I posted this comment I watched your videos of the Indian haha. Yeah, that bike looks so slick. I wanna go check one out. I'm on a 2015 fxdl right now. Had a Road Glide before and an 01 fxdx before that. Got run over splitting lanes in San Diego on the fxdx. Totaled the bike, but walked away from it. I know that event caused me to pause and question how much I really wanted to keep riding. I'd had a lot of bikes before that, also. Dynas, a springer softtail, old Triumphs, etc. I took some time and then really missed riding so got the Road Glide and loved that bike. Regret selling it. I was trying to set this 2015 dyna up to be as close to the fxdx just because the fxdx's are way overpriced these days. I do love that stock 88" though. And there is just no beating the handling of that frame and set up. This fxdl is nice, but just feels heavy, etc. I have followed your videos and love your fxdx set up. Definitely want to check out this Indian. Anyway, I was 40, or almost 40 when I went down and also got a gnarly jiu jitsu injury soon after the accident, but went back to that quickly and, after some time away from riding, got another bike. I know your channel and approach to riding and life is a very good thing for so many people and look forward to following your journey. take care.

On the FTR and Challenger there is built-in wheelie mitigation in rain and standard modes. I’m wondering if the sport chief is the same way. I know it’s a different power plant but I’m thinking if you put it in sport mode it may wheelie just fine.

It seems like the power and performance are there but it just doesn't have the same refined lines as its main competitor-the Lowrider S. The rear fender looks bloated and over done. The front cowl seems out of place - and obviously the exhaust is terrible, although that's the first anyone would change on either bike. Your riding is on point though!
