Excellent video, Roberto! A very logical and concise demonstration. You have changed the way I'll be looking at swing rhythm faster than I could eat my sandwich! Thank you!
Excellent lesson, very well thought out way of explaining intervals. I never thought to play the fretboard vertically for chord changes. I've always scrambled to make shapes horizontally, what a huge improvement you offer with some serious fretboard logic in this principled lesson. Thanks again.
Hi Roberto, your lesson has really opened up the world of "Jazzy" chords for me. I now have the shapes and the theory behind them: in other words the how and the why. Another great lesson. Thanks.
Hi Roberto, a very interresting and instruktiv Video crash course..👍i realy checked it 😀 now I have to practice to notice this with the cords often , with your videos..
Great lesson Roberto, grazie mille 🙏 I took jazz-guitar lessons for more than a year a while ago. I understood some of the theory and chords-construction but still wasn t able to see properly the direct application of theory on the fretboard. The idea of reference points on the same line under the tonica/fundam is genius and evident once you know that 3rd and 5th and 7th are just that close by under on the same fret. Moving them from there depending of the mode make all this evident at very first sight. It seems evident once you know that but when one doesn’t...Using the same principle moving the T note I clearly see where the notes are almost at once too.I still have to practice that.by watching your video a few minutes I understood how to apply the chord-theory I knew, while a teacher I met every week for a year wasn t able to make me understand that...I sometimes wonder if teachers sometimes make things mystical and mysterious only to not give away easily what they know. You made me understand that in a few minutes in that video 😊 I m not wealthy but I ll inevitably have to support your activity this month, even with a couple of €. Thanks again for this great lesson. Michel.
Great job Roberto. I've been studying concepts along with the first and second inversions up the neck. These are so cool because you can follow the lines down the string. When you just learn the "cowboy" chords the melody can go all over the place. And there is a place for that too. But when you see this you can see the baseline and the melody move along one string. Thanks so much Roberto. Every lesson top notch.

Such a great shortcut to the 9 and 13 from knowing the 5th, flat 3rd and flat 7. And all the cliche's up and down the neck so that it stays in a flow.
Glad to hear that, thank you Jeff
This is a good way to learn how to form the chords. I watched it several times while playing along to help understand it.
Thank you David
I don't know why more people don't follow you. We need to spread the word!!!
Thanks for your help Susan!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great perspective, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
The jazz chords are really amazing but I have never found the right way to approach them. Thanks Roberto that you opened me up this world!
My pleasure!
