1 more difference is Canon R6 ii has a sensor cover when it's turned off, while R8 doesn't have a sensor cover.

Have heard lot of heating issues with Canon R8, Can you do real life shooting, out door shooting to see if it heats?
Also low light test of Canon R8 would be a great addition for in depth review.

In general case if you shoot 4k 60 or 1080p at 180 fos you will see some overheating
But if you don't record long videos and don't always shoot at the highest frame rates you won't see an issue, but again if we work in summer it can get overheated.
And yes i am coming up with separate videos and i have taken some low light pictures

International reviewer have mentioned that it heats even when you're normally shooting or taking pictures, countries that are generally colder than india.
