SHOCKED at prices inside LOCAL markets | San Miguel de Allende

In San Antonio neighborhood outside of the centro in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico is the Mercado San Juan de Dios. In this vlog, we share our experience shopping, talking to vendors, and exploring all the goodies. If you're a market lover like me, especially if you're traveling through Mexico or any other part of the world, you will love this vlog.
San Miguel de Allende is known as one of the most expensive cities here in Mexico, so what does that mean for grocery shopping? As an American digital nomad or expat - I have a deep appreciation for the local language and culture in each place that I explore. Making American wages while living abroad is a privilege that I acknowledge having and I hope to approach my interactions here as respectfully as possible. Yes, to some the prices here are "cheap" and to much of the local population, the rising prices of food are a challenge.
In this vlog I hope to vibrantly express my love of the local markets and culture with you with some added in humor and our personal touch.

I love these videos! I left Honolulu and now live in a small mountain pueblo in Jalisco-- I dropped 100k I had inherited on building a house--- nice and quiet--- AND SO AFFORDABLE! Mexicans are so nice, it was creepy at first, but I decided to let loose and be kind and my authentic self lately-- it was scary at first.
