Thank you for being so positive and informative concerning the mindset you use in your planning stage. Confusion is always there in my mind as to precisely where to start. Eventually things fall into place but not before lots of thought processes are examined carefully. Until the time comes when you just have to go for it and have courage. Thank you. Love your videos.
I’m trying this new thing when I have too many ideas, and that’s stepping back and resting. Resting is a skill I’ve never mastered, never spent much time with it. When I was younger and full of creative energy I developed a creative idea every day in ceramics for a month, I wouldn’t recommend it is definitely a way to overwork yourself. I have been working on an idea for a project since November and now it’s gone off to the Arts Council for a Project Grant, because it’s a big idea with the power to sustain itself and has done already for 2 months. The biggest problem I have with creativity is finding the funds to sustain it, hence my second Arts Council bid in a year
Absolutely true, resting is so important and I have not been very good at it more recently, I think doing these exercises helps me to sort of 'put it down' for a bit but I still do need to have a break for my mind I think before I come back to it. That must have been exhausting but interesting, I always struggle with daily projects so I never commit to them anymore it's just too much for me. That sounds like an exciting project I hope you can secure the funds! Thankyou for your comment :)
I do the same. I write everything and then try to choose 1 or 2 things to start. but things that I can finish or experience quickly. I need to decide if I like it or not, if I want to continue or not and do not want to waste time with this doubt in the head
Yeah exactly, the doubt can be difficult because it can put you off trying even the ideas you like but as you say when you try some out that doubt is easier to deal with, thanks for commenting! :)
I’ve noticed you’re putting up more videos lately - no pressure, but I just wanted to say I’ve noticed! Also, I see you’ve changed the position of your desk😅- okay, I’ll stop now. I was actually starting to wonder if something was wrong with me becauseof how long it takes to organize my thoughts, especially after research. To connect this distant dots. So, thank you for that reassurance! I guess I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe it takes time, but it’s so demoralizing when the process drags on for too long and you end up frequently having to take a break from the project from time to time. I write my ideas probably way too much, even the slighest but it does help me tick off things, it's a good practice And yeah, it’s like we want to keep romanticizing the idea because once you really dive into it and get a feel of how much work and time it takes, you hesitate taking those next steps.
Yes I'm trying to post more frequently this year and I've been enjoying making videos, thanks for noticing! I did yes! I'm also filming a bit differently here as the camera is on my desk. That's really interesting and I'm glad you were able to relate, connecting the distant dots is a really good way to describe it and I totally relate to both understanding it takes time but being frustrated by it too, generally I feel a lot better when I'm in the middle of a project because I know what I'm doing, the thinking process and first steps are often hardest for me! Exactly, romanticizing is a great word for it and all those ideas feel a bit easier and nicer when they're just ideas! Thankyou for your comment :)
OMG, yes! The struggle is real! This "hard work" part really gets me. Trying it out is a great idea!
It really is! 😅Thanks for your comment :)

You're right eventually you just have to go for it anyway! Thankyou so much, I'm happy to hear you enjoy the videos :) ♥
